everything is politics

You shouldn’t worry about Scalvini’s quality as a defender. It’s his injury record that’s the issue. Kinda like Woodgate the second coming
-
I would say this is very similar to the Man Utd Carrick deal. We are buying a core tactical piece from an uprising team which a lot of premium has to be paid for compensating their risk of complete tactical collapse. Elanga may not worth that much alone but he really worths that much for Forest. Not that I am against the deal, I am a big fan of Elanga as he is a fucking pressing machine and counter attack specialist. I always said Man Utd are nuts of letting him go for that cheap. However, don’t expect him to be a game changer. He simply isn’t that type of winger.
-
I expect Forest to reject all bids lower than 70m
-
How many times we heard “the deal was close” last time re Guehi?
-
As I said you may call it remote but you guys should bear in mind that Howe was Staveleys choice, not PIF. Eales was appointed by PIF, and so as Mitchell, and we all witnessed what happened last year. I genuinely don’t think the club is THAT supportive to Howe since Staveleys left. Believe it or don’t.
-
nah you need “results” to justify the sacking. Of course they need to engineer it. You may call it too remote but look at Mitchell.
-
If, a big if, we really signed no one this summer, then sorry I genuinely suspect there is an hidden agenda behind the scene that PIF wants Howe out.
-
No, we lose out Pedro because we ain’t willing to pay 55m+5m. That’s what concern me most - I don’t think that’s a crazy price.
-
So in the end we didn’t even offer 55m+5m for Pedro after negotiated for nearly a month, a player that we regarded as a major target this summer The whole thing feels…arrogant to me, our managements attitude I mean.
-
I think the point is it’s obvious that we will only do the deals that we think “worth it”, and both the fees and the salaries are strictly controlled. What this mean is any club who is willing to pay over-the-odd would come up a better offer for the counterparties to take. It doesn’t need to be Chelsea. Spurs Villa or even Forest can beat us.
-
I would rather spend 1-20m-ish to find/gamble the next Huljsen. Fuck the non-EPL risk. The best buy are always from foreign leagues. Man City didn’t buy their Ballon Dor players from other EPL clubs.
-
I think it’s really fair to say the management has been doing a very poor job since Staveley left.
-
It’s not that he is a bad option as a backup striker. It’s just due to the extension is a result of a series of fucking shamble transfer failures that makes us sad
-
Just switch target. I don’t want another 2 months saga like Guehi.
-
If we really want him, just put in a 50m bid.
-
His son can feed him so fine
-
I don’t think we are getting close to any target tbh
-
And that’s why Miley should leave.
-
I genuinely won’t believe that Nickson failed to find anyone from foreign leagues after 2 years of work, especially given his past record since the takeover. Our best players (Botman, Bruno, Tonali, Isak) are all from foreign leagues.
-
Not really, look at Anderson. It won’t surprise me if Miley wants to have a break out season like Anderson at Forest
-
I do wonder who’s in charge of the transfer negotiation now. Surely not Howe himself?
-
The only players I would take a gamble are Mainoo and Antony
