I don't expect the word "luck" creates such a debate to be honest, and I don't think it's bad to have luck anyway. If you aren't good enough you won't be able to utilise your luck. What Gareth got it fucking spot on is how England defend as a team. England never gives away easy chances to opponents in this tournament. And he did this by playing shit defenders. That's pretty amazing, isn't it? They aren't comparable to the likes of Rio Terry Campbell Seaman Neville etc. England is, however, playing the most solid defense in recent decades under Gareth. You really have to praise him, and also the midfielders who gave them all in chasing down every plays, blocking, covering, shielding... this never happened in the old days. The likes of Gerrard Lampard Beckham Owen would not play like this. Solid defense is a must for any team to win in a tournament. England could easily crash out by Columbia and Sweden due to sloppy goals conceded. And then that's it. Last 16 again. Gareth deserves the praise.

It is a fact that he has got a lot of lucks in this World Cup. Without Lady Luck England won't be in semi final. It is also a fact that he adopted a tactic that works well for the team that is lack of qualities. Although not attractive, uninspiring, and in a way over conservative, he did manage to bring out the best of the team. Beating Sweden is not as easy as it looks Considering Swedens recent records. He has earned another four years imo.

That team gone from sure winner in any competition to mediocore team in local league, once Paulinho left.

Make sense because of the uncertainties re Conte / Sarri. If they want him back they can do it in mid season. We likely have an option to buy him next season then.
-
Decent replacement for Hayden. Nothing more, nothing less. Won't complain since it's for free but we can't rely on him to be our starting eleven.
-
He showed his strength and weakness during the last game: physically strong enough to dominate the defenders and get into great scoring positions, but failed to score goals due to not good enough finishing. If he irons out his finishing he would be a top player. That said likely we don't have the patience, nor Rafa.
-
That simply shows how desperate Rafa was last summer to get him.
-
Rafa probably knows he will be gone this summer for a long time then.
-
You must have missed my post in other threads. Chelsea is asking for 60m for Batshuayi only. If you want to take all threes you probably need 120m.
-
The reason why we can't buy and sell is mainly due to inflated players wages. Same happens to other clubs.
-
FYI, Chelsea is asking 60m for Batshuayi.

I think it's fair to say Ronaldo is better at adapting into all kinds of systems given his all round ability. Messi is relatively "limited". Whether that means Messi "relies" on Barca system for his success is controversial though. However it's also worth noted that Messi has declined a huge lot.

Cracking game. Portugal are fortunate to grab a point though.

Few reports now suggesting he asked to leave in January so he surely mustn't have settled here? And so the encouragement Rafa show to a homesick player is to give him zero mins on the pitch? It appears to me that Rafa has given up Merino already in the middle of the season instead. Hence why we asking for only 15m. Rafa doesn't rate Merino as high as fans like us.
-
Yea I won't question the starting eleven (no one can anyway given our position) but surely Merino deserves at least a bench position right? He was even out of the match day squad FFS. No where to be seen after we guaranteed safety either. Seriously? If you are Merino, what's the message you receive from these decisions from Rafa? It makes perfect sense to me that he is asking to leave now. It would be dumb not to.
-
You guys don't think Rafa has to share the blame for Merino wanting to leave?
-
Laugh what? Give me a fucking reason why Rafa is correct to play Hayden in final minutes and leave Merino out of the team sheet. I said before this wouldnt end well. And here it is.
-
Why are you guys surprised? He even couldn't make the bench now. Why would he stay? Would you if you are in his situation? Even Hayden is preferred? Poor handling by Rafa imo.
-
Name a player that we can get under 20m that can perform better than Perez.
-
He is simply the one would make the promotion come true for Fulham. They were never in the race and was facing a critical summer which no way they could retain Sessgnon and Cairney. The loan of Mitrovic makes them have the best record in EFL since January and finally get the holy grail. Sessgnon and Cairney will stay. Everything's fucking bright. Mitrovic is their angel. The above comes from my Fulham mate and he is going to treat me a meal for the Mitrovic loan.

Maximum net spend. Just a budget. No way we did spend 46m last summer.
-
Whilst the figure is more or less expected, I can't understand why Ashley prefers to show in this way I.e. Record loss after a year in EFL. Yeah I know excuse for not spending blah blah blah. Put it aside. By showing this figures, Ashley is simply telling potential investors the consequences of relegation. This will certainly scared them away. It seems contradictory to what he wants: to get a huge bid from some silly guys and sold the club. No one will offer 400m. None.

That's too fucking long. And I honestly don't think Carroll was forced out. That's basically "give me money or I quit".
