Couldn't resist my regular £5 on Cisse to score first at 9's. Was going to just leave it for home games.

Not sure if real https://twitter.com/F8Piraux/status/239394655026962433/photo/1 Funny if it is. Apparently tweet deleted now

Thank fuck I'm getting ESPN for free for a few months. Would be a right kick in the knackers to be paying for Burley's slab of Carling every week.

He's probably pissed to be fair

I suppose infection would be a worry with that. It wouldn't be easy to stitch I would imagine?

ouch!! Painful.

My biggest worry about Carroll coming is that when he 1st was here the team were pretty much geared up to play to his strengths, now he would be 3rd choice and we are not set up the same, not sure we'd get the best out of him. I am sure at a team like Stoke he could well thrive and be very effective. The boy clearly has talent, Liverpool paid massively over the odds for him and are unlikely to settle for peanuts. Realistically he is a £6-£8 million pound player. However, I think I'd rather him in than nobody, as today we have no strikers on the bench and not sure if we can rely on Campbell yet. I suppose we need to trust Carr and his gang? They pulled it off in January when last summer we were desperate for strikers, maybe he'll have something up his sleeve then.

It's a concern like, an injury to Krul and we'd drop like a stone. I understand the worry as Harper is nowhere near the quality of Krul anymore but most Premiership fans would have the same worries if their 1st choice keeper got injured. Look at the shear panic after Reina got sent off against us last season. Its very difficult to have two top quality keepers we were very lucky Harper was happy to be Given's understudy for so long. It would be a big blow if Krul got crocked but I don't think we'd capitulate.

You can dislike someone and feel bad at the same time. Surely that doesn't extend to the Fat One
-
You imagine what Jarvis is feeling?

Why would any Newcastle fan feel sorry for Fat Sam. That big fat cunt probably celebrated our relegation with an expensive bottle of wine and a family bucket of KFC with popcorn chicken to eat in the car on the way home. Fat bastard.

The person/thing/God who controls the weather is a fucking mag kernt

These little injuries that he is picking up may well be the thing discouraging teams putting in a bid. Spending £20million at least on a player that will miss a few games here and there may be putting them off. It set him back last season, looked sluggish at times, but the guy showed his quality by still getting the job done.

Yeah Swansea don't seem to have AS much possession as usual but the certainly look more of a threat.
-
I think its a combination of Swansea playing well especially going forward and West Ham being shit. Big Fat Sam - worlds greatest manager - lets put blowing out of his arse Nolan on the wing
-
James Collins FFS!! Why do Premiership managers continue to buy him?
-
Maybe it is money orientated but I'd guess he was on more at Man City? To be fair to him he may have based his decision on play time? With the added bonus he is close to home. He's going to be a big fish at Sunderland possibly seen as their biggest player. It will be a decent shop window for him. If he plays week in week out and does well at Sunderland then the interest from Champions League will be more concrete. At his age he needs to be playing week in week out and as long as he is fit that's what will be happening at Sunderland.

This could be a long evening for us. Chelsea are on a bit of a role, they do look vulnerable defensively but the two wins so far would have given them a lot of confidence. They'll be looking to avenge last seasons defeat and the fact that we finished above them. Would take a draw in a heartbeat from this.

I've heard similar, terms no problem, taking shirt number 11, only problem is Liverpool holding out for £15M I'll ask again seeing as though neither of you mention, but where are you hearing this?
-
I am more impressed with the Johnson signing. While I think Fletcher is a good player they have paid way over the odds for him. But green with envy? Nope
-
I think the dilemma with Carroll is that we know what he is capable of. If we can get an inform Carroll back then £12 million is fair. Id take that rather than £14m on Flether and that's not out of bitterness. It's clear we need another striker. This is just as much a gamble as De Jong would have been. One difference I'll concede though is that De Jong is more versatile.
