  1. Didier looked nervous but not defeated when he stepped up.
  2. Ivorians have looked like choking all game. Didier already has.
  3. Should've put a bet on it ages ago. Destiny and all that.
  4. Am I the only one who thought he was terrible yesterday? Often looked like he went missing when balls where played between him and Colo? Wasn't around to prevent either of the crosses for the first 2 goals? Defensively the lad is horrendous atm.
  5. You're probably right but there's a bigger picture to be considered. As I've said elsewhere I'll accept that Raylor offers something HBA doesn't, being able to defend reasonably well. But Obertan? Nah, sorry, not having it. He's the very definition of a nothing footballer. He carries the ball and relieves pressure when he does that tbf and he's marginally better in a defensive manner.
  6. Agree with you largely, dont think he that many options bar Ben Arfa. Switched Gutierrez to the right as he saw thats clearly where they were creating from. Still, Ferguson over Ben Arfa? Very odd. It's not odd. Davide also needed protection so he brought on a lad who has played LB himself. It was a defensive move that made sense. Absolutely, defensive move when down 4-0. Do some people actually listen to how f***ing clueless it sounds. You can't attack effectively if you keep conceding goals and don't have any kind of grip on the match. When you're getting destroyed the first thing you do is stem the bleeding. Once that's done we can start to press. Have you ever played a sport? From boxing to rugby, the first move would've been to correct your biggest mistakes. If anything he should've done it at 2 or 3-0. We did go on to concede another and maybe fortunate to not give away a penalty.
  7. Agreed. Gosling or even better Abeid should've started instead of Cisse, giving us a double pivot defensive midfield axis to protect the defence. If Spurs can do it with Livermore & Parker against an inferior L'pool. I don't know why we couldn't do it against Spurs.
  8. Pardew deserves some stick for this though. Shouldn't have started with a a 4 in midfield then. Go 5, with Perch right infront of the defence.

  10. Yep. Again him turning his back costs a goal. Be a man. You would never get that from Saylor. He did it when we lost in the FA Cup too.
  11. Today highlighted that against top opposition. He still doesn't have the legs to compete. Or the defensive nous to cover for it.
  12. Agreed. If anything it was too late.
  13. Very peculiar comments from him really. It's not even as though he set us up to have a go. He did like. Ba almost.
  14. We never got tonked like this under Hughton did we? Granted I thik Tiote played every PL game Hughton was in charge of.
  15. Poor from Colo. Taylor would've put in his head where Williamson turned his back.... again.
  16. They would've made a big difference. Would probably still be down but we wouldn't be so weak, submissive and slow with them in the middle. Yohan wouldn't get turned and stop running the way Danny did.
  17. Going 4-4-2 looks stupid now. Going man for man means we should be able to outplay them individually. It's not even close.
  18. Gunna need to sacrifice one of the strikers. Too fast, too good in midfield.
