  1. There manager deserves to be sacked, but he cost them 70 million pounds, so they might exert a slight bit of patience. Both Suarez and Evra are fools, tbh. I do not know what actually happened in the alleged racist incident, but what would make Evra think Suarez wanted to shake with him after he personally saw to the fact that he was banned for nearly a fourth of the season and dubbed a racist by the media, and why aggressively pursue it? I don't need to speak on Suarez. Tried to be an adult about things. They have a big disagreement over an issue, fine. What's happened has happened. Shake hands. Try to put it behind them in an attempt to put the saga to bed. That's the key thing. Shake hands, put it behind you. Now the issue won't go away.
  2. Had they been 15th I would've wanted them to run.
  3. Them beat Arsenal on the run they're having, I would get nervous. They would've been just 6 points behind with a better goal difference. A draw would've been prefferrable but i'm glad we are almost out of sight from them.
  4. Don't want Sunderland to win. That would leave them 6 points behind us with a superior GD.
  5. England need a better team player playing upfront than Darren Bent. He's not as good at this level to compensate his lack of overall quality. Even as a sub, i'd have Defoe ahead of him.
  6. Jones has looked poor at CB whenever i've seen him. Would have Smalling ahead of him. Cole is the only "Oldie" i'd take too. The drop off in quality in LB is stark imo.
  7. How will Spurs line-up. Friedel Walker King/Kaboul Dawson Assou-Ekotto Lennon Parker Modric Bale Adebayor Defoe. Would be very content with a draw. Delighted probably. Can see us scoring but can't see a clean-sheet.
  8. Doesn't really matter if it's normal time or not though does it? Furthermore we've only been knocked out in the knock-out phase in normal time a few times.... (if that sentence makes any sense).
  9. Geremi was a very good footballer I thought. But by the time he came here he was no longer able to physically compete.
  10. First time watching it, you would say yellow card tbh. There's a little doubt he meant. But when you watch it again you think "he really had no chance of getting the ball like".
  11. Inexplicable really. I missed the game, was any action taken against Suarez? Yellow.
  12. Spurs accepting they're not in the title race more or less. Looking at it as a CL qualifying game a draw is a good result for them. Have you seen the team they've put out tonight? Weak by their standards. But yes, very negative. Not sure 'Arry would do it like this where he here.
  13. He's great for matches like these. Spurs have been shite.
  14. On paper we should be 7th so I guess we are slightly over-achieving. But on the field we are doing what we are meant to. Beating the majority of sides at home and drawing against some of the better ones. Beating weaker teams away or picking up a point. Down our spine we have the best in the league outside the top 6. Krul-Colo-Cabaye-Tiote-Ba, that's huge. A lot of teams don't have that. A real finisher upfront with great movement and ability. Commanding keeper who rarely makes mistakes. A smart defender nicking attacks before they really happen. And a real athletic midfield pairing with real technical quality and strength. Throw in the likes of Raylor, HBA, Jonas, Santon, Guthrie who all have some level of real footballing ability it's all very tasty. I literally fancy us against anyone at home. We have genuine ability. So yeah, slightly over achieving but we are no mugs. Defensively solid with a very hard working team. Everyone fully fit from 1 to 11 are real grafters (maybe not so much the French lads who can play RM). So on that foundation, a lot is possible in football when you've got the quality we have.
  15. Exactly. Our best player is Ba. I want him to keep doing what he's been doing. Don't want to fanny about with him.
  16. Really? I dont think we NEED to change but i think it would be progression for the group and our brand of football will benefit from it in the long run. I'd want to see us give it a try when key players are back and see how it goes but i'd like to think that with a new FB in the summer the 4231 would be our starting tactic on the 1st day of next season. Davide had a total mare at Fulham with no protection and we all know about Backoff Danny. 4-2-3-1 is not progression but a total 360 in philosophy. Discipline, hard work and moments of quality from our players has got us this far so I see little point in changing. If we need to go for it, HBA & Guthrie should play in our 4-4-2. We could do with more carpet football i agree. But within a 4-4-2 most times.
  17. Our fullbacks are weak defensively. We create enough chances for a couple goals a game. No need for all this change.
  18. His lack of movement and general inviting of pressure drives me spare at times like. Even more so as he's just as good when running at people with a bit of pace. He's so strong when he needs to be (albeit he f***ed up for their goal today) He didn't really fuck up. He had nobody to pass too. Everyone just stood still and watched. Whole team switched off there.
  19. Yep. Industrious but actually offers something going forward.
  20. Our fullbacks aren't strong enough defensively for a 4-3-3. Simo and Davide need more help.
  21. FFS. He was at Liverpool before us and had a couple of loans. I'm really glad he's playing as he is. I did find it quite strange how last season was such a non-event for him, he'd been such a pivotal player in the promotion season and I wasn't with these people who said he wasn't a Premier League player. It looked like the Premiership was too fast, strong and athletic for him. Whereas you do get more time and space in the Championship. Danny has excellent technical ability, especially for a British midfielder. And this season he's worked on his conditioning and has shown for more desire for the game.
