  1. Those Charlie Adam 30 yarders were going to fly in second half weren't they... what do you see with your eyes brett? I saw a manager change to a formation we haven't been playing at home, look out of sorts in adapting to it and in need of a re-shuffle. Major surgery wasn't needed, just a change in formation and maybe a change of personel at half time if we were still getting beat. Obviously nobody knows how the game would have panned out but even when we went one down i was confident we could still turn it around. Stoke just basically threw us the 3 points instead. How many times does he 'get it wrong' at home when faced with teams who are not in the top echelons of the league? In fact, a better question is how many times does he get it right? Was a f***ing formation people on here wanted us to play, Ben Arfa back in the side, no Shola, no Tiote at home. So he plays it, struggling with it and gets criticised for trying it Everyone wanted Shola dropped, got dropped and worst we've played at home in recent times when he wasn't in the side. For the record, i thought he picked the right side prior to kick off then soon realised it wasn't really working and was expecting changes half time. This is the best point i've read on this forum in a long time. Brett got part of that right, but we didn't struggle with it, we came out thinking we already had the game won. Wrong attitude for the game rather than wrong players or system, imo. That's partly true. But when you read this forum you would think that would solve all our problems. We looked a light touch in midfield and we couldn't really get the ball to stick up top.

  3. I think we are a little spoilt with Debuchy the Braveheart on the right. Very tough tackling.
  4. Suarez can single handily dust off at least 1/3 of the league on current form. He loves the shit teams, they can't handle him.
  5. Physically he's an Alan Pardew's wet dream. Big, strong, some good pace. If he was a midfielder 90% of British managers would look at him and stick him at DM.
  6. Yeah that was early season awful, not sure if I have mentioned it but I love Gouffran, he could have a pretty impressive lowlight reel from this season though Yep. He gets into some excellent positions. Coming from the left he's often unmarked but even then, from set-pieces he has a great sense of being in the right place at the right time. He's probably had more chances than anyone else.
  7. while a Liverpool mate of mine loves watching him play and says he remind him of Dirk Kuyt (in a good way) As in he's a hard working forward who often plays in midfield? Gouff is faster and has better strikers instinct.
  8. Very good that Any from the penalty spot? That is awesome. Great finish yesterday. That's top, top rate.
  9. Showed great predatory instinct. The second goal was the type of scrappy predatory goal Ba would score. His touch was heavy as owt all afternoon however.
  10. The league table is very interesting at the moment. It's pretty much split directly into two. You have the top 8/9 with 5 points separating 4 to 8th with Southampton a little a drift of the pack. Then pretty much everyone from Stoke onwards are bunched together. Literally 1 or 2 results and it's all good ala Hull or Villa when they picked up a few wins. Literally a couple defeats and the pressure is back on.
  11. Villa have been shocking I must say. Even when they won a few. Less than 30% possession against Southampton I think it was. There's playing on the counter and there's that. Don't think he'll get the sack nor Hughton. And I don't expect either of them to go down. Could get pretty close and then anything can happen.
  12. They've been playing some very exciting stuff. We rely on 'moments of magic' largely.
  13. It did. But most of the Stoke pressure came from the left beforehand which would've given them a lot of confidence. Class finish I must say. Arguably Anita should've been back quicker to help Debuchy but overall we couldn't withstand the pressure. Williamson had a few so-so clearances.
  14. In the opening 30 minutes he was the poorest player on the pitch. Lost all his duels & 1v1's.
  15. Play. to. the. whistle. you. cunt. harry.
  16. Exactly. Bale/Ronaldo are some of the most lean footballers around. They just have good muscle mass. Hatem's just a bit soft.
  17. Honestly, Sherwood comes across as a despicable cunt. Hope he fails.
  18. Those are his best playersd.
  19. He played there for France before he joined us and he came off the bench to play RW in the first leg of the play-off. He'll be okay.
