  1. No communication. No leadership out there. Get big Jam on.
  2. Good feet from Mudryk. Poor form Schar. Chelsea back in the hunt for 7th.
  3. We really needed an injury free run in. Hasn’t happened.
  4. Didn’t need to press but he should’ve been aware Palmer was behind him. He had no idea. It was poor.
  5. We don’t have a functional low block. The tactics make sense.
  6. Chelsea been allowed to kick lumps out of Tino. Ref is happy to let it slide. We need to surround the ref. Get Jamaal on to crack some skulls
  7. I think they have similar rules in Spain already. It pretty much guarantees that Real Madrid will win the league more often than not. They have by far the biggest wage cap. They are #1 by a distance. It's shit and reinforces dominant club positions.
  8. I should create a football finance twitter. I made a similar calculation a few days ago
  9. I don't agree with that. I think Olise could be brilliant at 10 and I don't think Miggy output would be any better at 10. Olise is a talented technician overall. Miggy is not. IMO anyway.
  10. Potentially. But that left foot is a wand and Miggy's left foot is not.
  11. Equally though.. if you're revenues are up you don't have to sell a lot of players. Maybe just the right few. Extending contracts spreads amortisation costs. You want to do what Liverpool have done with Mane. Get them 21-24, keep them until 30ish, get their best years. Have most of their fee amortised away and then sell at a decent price. We've ended up in that position with Joelinton. He only has about £7m left on his book value. If he gets a 4 year contract, he'll cost £1.75m + wages going forward. About £7m per year. That's not bad. Equally if we sold him for £35m. That's a book profit of £28m. It would facilitate a couple of signings you would guess. His replacement and someone else.
  12. Arsenal are in a league above financially. Can't compare them. And they have a productive academy that generates revenue and their best player. Anyway rumours Olise has a £60m release clause. I think he would be a beast under Eddie but seems injury prone.
  13. West Ham & Brighton losing their first legs is bad for our European hunt. 1 for the England co-efficient pushing the European places up a spot and 2 makes both more competitive in the league
  14. It's not like. A win and we probably finish ahead of them this season. And it puts us back on top for that race for 7th. 1-2 Newcastle. Isak double.
  15. For me, Joelinton isn't productive enough at LW for him to start there regularly. For big games away it's cool. But in the main I want Gordon and Barnes there. That's £80m worth of forward.
  16. Don't like it. I think a top team needs 4-5 great attackers. If playing 3 in midfield you need 4-5 great midfielders etc. Gordon Isak New signing (with Barnes, Joelinton, Wilson & Miggy as back-up) Joelinton Bruno Tonali (with Willock, Longstaff, Anderson as back-up... we lack quality in depth here clearly)
  17. Clear and obvious error? No. Go with the on-pitch decision. Had it been given, shouldn't have been reversed. People don't want VAR overly involved until the ref makes a decision they don't like.
  18. He’s a baller. Not really added much in his time at city but he’s shown it today
  19. Got Ake in FPL. 2 mistakes in 2 league games iirc.
  20. Nunez offside awareness is Papiss Cisse level atm. And City don’t look to get Haaland in nearly as often as Liverpool do Nunez. Penalty. Damn.
  21. Just susceptible to top counter attacking teams, injuries and a bit of fatigue.
  22. Aye. I want Villa to get into the CL over the big 6 lot. Lowkey Spurs have rebuilt their entire squad in 1 summer and spent a lot of money. 7 of their players today weren’t at Spurs last season (I’m counting Udogie). Ange has done well to make it gel so quickly but Spurs are exactly where they should be - if not higher. It does irk me a bit that the media don’t mention the €270m Spurs have spent in the summer when they talk about Ange’s good work. Close to half a billy in 2 years. We spent that amount over a longer period of time, with a far inferior squad but you never hear the end of our investment in the media.
