How often does Howe make performance related half time subs? Dortmund was a big night for him in a bad way.

I felt this way about a number of our away performances. Particularly PSG. We offered nothing to stem the tide of opposition attack. Not a tactical move. Not really a substitution move. It’s just buckle up, keep going lads and hang on in there. At the highest level of football - is that good enough? I get with less injuries. The freshness probably gets us over the line more often than not. But surely we need to have a way to play on the back foot? Like actually keep the ball or be dangerous on the counter. Not sure if I posted that. The 451 let’s keep losing the ball tactic has to change.

Why do people think he was getting on ahead of Ritchie? Has he ever got on ahead of Ritchie on the wing? It is shit that he is not trusted at all though. Would’ve liked to have seen him on in midfield. He might try to pass the ball to a team mate then look for it back.

Liverpool was a bit different I think. This game was like Milan away, PSG away, Wolves away. Passing game gone to pot, can’t keep the ball, wave after wave of opposition attack. PSG and this game in particular. The opposition were so bad that if we could’ve strung decent possession 2 or 3 more times. We get it over the line. But wave wave wave of attack and then something happens at the death.

We can’t manage games away from home without subs. Chelsea were so bad. They ain’t deserve the draw in the end. But we were food the entire second half.
