KDB is much more similar to Gerrard (and Lampard) in style and ability than he is to Xavi/Iniesta. Gerrard under Pep would've been something and better than KDB imo. Pep would've taught Gerrard how to play off the ball defensively. As it stands KDB has reached higher levels of performances but he's played for a better team.

Bruno G in not being perfect shocker. Tactically - Bruno is flexible so we need a team that can be flexible with him. Teams need to worry about him both at 6 & 8 and less teams will be able to solve both problems. He does need to understand when he needs to move the ball quicker.

Aye the lack of Lavia links are annoying. He's perfect for us. Decent fee, smallish wages, massive potential.

The one with Rio is awful. And I like Rio and Jake. But it takes itself too seriously.

Wasn’t a penalty. It was a dive. Yes there’s contact but contact is allowed. Stevie G the only sensible person in thr room.

Minimum 9 points. Much like ourselves - the games are there for the taking. No excuses. -

I'm benching my Liverpool FPL assets and starting all 3 of NUFC players and captaining one. Going all in on NUFC supremacy. -
James Maddison (now playing for Tottenham Hotspur)

Trying to understand the core argument you're making. -
Ederson is excellent at sweeping. But I don't think he's great at the other elements. Although tbf he's rarely tested.

Why is it different? -
So much love for Vini Jr. and Camavainga last night. That LB role is suiting Canavinga atm. He can express himself on the ball in the middle. His off the ball weakness is mitigated. I remember when they doubted Vini.

Sissoko played over 200 games for Spurs under some of the most rated managers of all time. Wilson. Pope. Schar. People wanetd Joao Pedro. Conor Gallagher. There's not dozens of examples because teams that get relegated are mostly filled with players not good enough for the division. But it doesn't mean that every player is bad. Actual playing stats suggested Pope was a much better GK than Dubs for a team at a higher level. Much more active off his line as we've seen - even for Burnley both in terms of sweeping and collecting crosses. Once I looked at Pope's playing stats I was confident he had much more to his game than Dubs did. It's typically harder to judge midfielders and attackers in bad teams. I'm confident Lavia will be some player just because he's a baller. But because Southampton are so bad it's hard to see his whole game -
This is why the loan shout isn't as bad as it seems. He's never had a decent run in a functional team where he has scored and contributed regularly. He needs a Milner at Villa type season but we actually keep him.
-
I'll say this about Gordon. In his entire professional career he has 7 goals. He has more yellow cards than goals and assists combined. He hasn't proven very much in his short career.
-
The one with 10 goals and 5 assists in the PL that season.
-
Busquets has been past it at the highest level for some years. Slyly been holding Spain and Barca back.
-
No he wasn't. I actually agree with this. He needs experience and playing time. And we need to win football matches.
-
Perhaps but if he's not in there now - he shouldn't be in it at all. I assumed he was more of a presence in the dressing room.
-
Would expect Schar in there considering his age, international experience and length of service.
-
4-2-3-1 / 4-4-1-1 is Isak dependent in the hole. We don't have any alternatives. I'd like to see Isak himself with Maddison & an ASM type.

Can say the same for Gini

They will come for you!!!

That's my fear with Brighton. They will pass through the press.

They could drop points at Leicester. Leicester are legit awful but they are at a home and Liverpool haven’t been good. -

The Brighton game is the one I fear the most. The most difficult team remaining, bad style match up. Beating Leeds would ease the pressure on that result. Beating Leeds in the early kick-off ramps up the pressure on Man Utd. I don't think it adds pressure to Liverpool, they already know they need to win all remaining games.
