  1. Bruno keeps forcing it. Get your foot on the ball lad and play.
  2. Lads need to show composure on the ball. Pass it. Forcing so many passes.
  3. The one thing we needed to do. Not concede early give them something to defend. And we do exactly that. I blame Isak more. He lost his man. I wouldn’t have started him wide.
  4. Some of the players sold aren't that good, and they've been able to upgrade. The key is keeping the managers who get these performances out of them. I like Mitoma a lot. But March has been just as productive. how much is down to the ability of the individual player?
  5. I'm a sucker from proven-Prem ability. James M. Kulu. A left back. Lavia. A young CB. Some youngsters. I'd be chuffed.
  6. I thought Inzaghi was due for the chop a few months back and the Inter job could be De Zerbi’s.
  7. If we score first it could be an easy afternoon. They have zero confidence. And based on absolutely nothing - I reckon the players will hate Sam and his coaching methods.
  8. Real Madrid utilise free transfers tremendously. As we get our clout up - we need to do the same. It's excellent for squad fillers.
  9. I'm of the opposite thinking you know. Don't give Leeds anything early doors. We are far more likely to score with measured attacks. If it is 0-0 with 30 minutes to go, they will press and leave opportunities to pick them off.
  10. Sancho. Haaland. Haller. Bailey. Meyer. De Bruyne, Son, Gundo etc. is another era. The last 5 years it's the Chelsea lot, Konate etc.
  11. Love Eddie but he's going to have to win a trophy for me to put him above SBR. SBR spent money but we didn't have the "pull" we do now.
  12. Fair. Although I think Sissoko worked better in a better team because he had reduced responsibility. Same with Gini. They were our leading men, and although I class them both as successes at better clubs.. neither of them were main men. Important players but facilitators. It makes me mad to think we never played both of them at CM and played Anita and Colback instead.
  13. You’re right on West Ham. If they’re in the final they will put in a stinker and the fans won’t care. Leeds are bad however.
  14. Nah. Big Sam won't risk conceding early. His plan will be to get it to half-time 0-0 and have something to hold mentally. Try and win it off a counter or set piece. He'll take a cleansheet and 1 point imo. West Ham are in Europe and will likely rest players for the Leeds game. Haven't been a good team this season. And have nothing to play for. 1-3 points there.
  15. Disagree with that entirely. KDB's fundamentally a different type of player (a 10 / wide midielder converted to an 8) but even taking that into consideration... nah. Someone said KDBs touch/control was a level above Gerrard. Disagree completely there. I mean, KDB's touch isn't even top 5 at City. IMO I think most City players output is about 10% greater than they would get at other elite clubs. As a unit they are so dominant.
  16. I agree - you would expect European sports pundits to know more about European teams. Tbf to Macca he knows his Spanish football well and obviously watches it broadly.
  17. Surely there's a lower bar for world-class than Messi/Ronaldo? As far as world-class number 8 type player - I think - Iniesta, Kroos, Modric, Seedorf, Scholes and Gerrard is in that group even if he's not close to being #1. Other types of midfielder like a Vieira, Kante, Pirlo. Even this week Barella & Gundogan. Henderson isn't as good a footballer as them. Top players would come in and add value for multiple top class teams. Henderson has never been that level. Even he would acknowledge that. But for that Liverpool team - he's the guy.
  18. Him linking up with Isak is making me....
  19. Last year's form - undoubtedly. This year's form - no. Ability wise? Yes. Left footer. Great price. Can play RM and I assume AM. He was brilliant last season. Scoring and creating. 35m? Better value than Maddison. From what I know, I would be all owa that.
  20. I mean.. Steven Gerrard was a world-class player. Jordan Henderson is/was not. I agree Henderson is better for his role but he's the epitome of a "system player". Henderson doesn't get into many other elite teams past or present. That doesn't take away from Henderson. He's maximised his potential and career and is a cornerstone man for a Liverpool golden-era. Henderson is a better captain too. But that doesn't make him an elite player the way Gerrard was.
  21. Aye the squad is very expensive. Top 5 ITW I reckon. More expensive than the "all-star" Real Madrid team they lost too. But the wages are likely much less. They sell fairly well too.
  22. Nah. Declan Rice and Jordan Henderson are very good PL midfielders. Gerrard was a level above. Maybe two levels.
