As this current squad stands? You think they could get through to the last 16 of a European competition with Chris Wood flanked by Fraser & Murphy?

Miguel Almirón (now playing for Atlanta United)

He's been great. Much better than I thought. He's got confidence. -
I think he fits it very well. Great at pressing, interceptions and transitions. That's how our team plays and he's good at those things. Agree with Kaka for once. Doesn't demand the ball enough but was useful when he got it. His build-up play needs to improve overall. If he could do that, he'll have a long future at the club. Think this wee rest has been great for him. I think he played nearly every minute of the first 10 games or so. If he scores once and he'll go on a good run.

I thought it was a foul (was it that one for the goal?)
-
As the squad stands we'll need a bit of luck with injuries to make 7th. Looking at the table - I hope Brighton can't hold the pace. I don't think Brentford will either. I think West Ham have have A LOT of fixtures this year which helps us. If we can get 7 points before WC and win the LC - that would be great. Get the injured lads back for the Christmas run-in.
-
Just to add. I liked the look of Onana. He would suit our style very well. An excellent athlete, strong in the tackle and I thought he looked a little more capable on the ball than Longstaff. I'd have him rotating from the DM role to the 8. Looks like he can do a bit of everything.
-
TBH I thought he was pretty bad all over. In the early exchanges Everton were first to every ball and Longstaff was culpable. For the whole game, I think they were beating him to the punch most of the time - particularly Onana. He did his job in terms of closing down though. And again when attacking, he wasn't making hard purposeful runs. And I thought he was often poor on the ball - some simple passes straight to the opposition. Looks like a bit of fatigue. Joelinton was worse though and a little fortunate to not get sent off. His passing was v. poor. But one thing about both Joe's is they will snatch up a loose ball or a poor pass and spring us on the transition for a counter. Longstaff wasn't doing that. Just chasing shadows.

I'd take a promising 20/21 year-old that plays wide as a deputy wide player. We should be able to endure 3 injuries before starting the likes of Murphy or Fraser.

Everton were very poor on quality I felt and general attacking coaching. Ideally, you see out at 1-0 with lots of possession. Everton had a lot of the ball but didn't do much with it but still.. rather have the ball. At one point in the second half we had 10% possession in a 10 minute spell. The one good tactical thing Everton did was block the passing lanes to Bruno when we tried to build from the back. Longstaff nor Willock show for the ball as much as Joe or Shelvey. But perhaps on Howe for not rotating positions. Desperate to get ASM back. That left-hand offers zero threat. Longstaff struggles with the physicality of our game atm. Bruno was class in the first half especially, same with Almiron. Wilson was quiet but was a threat and had some nice touches.

Yes. We need to bring in a replacement for Murphy. Get Anderson out on loan. And Murphy back on the bench and close to a permanent exit
-
Anderson needs to go out on loan. He’s raw and not ready for the PL imo.
-
More in terms of pressing, getting behind the ball and tracking his full back.
-
Sometimes getting his feet mixed up but an Easy night.
-
Best thing I can say about him is that he does his defensive work well. We need to get that depth to keep him out the team.
-
Everton are not a well coached team. Did well to thwart Bruno in possession in the second half. Battled hard. They’ll finish 14th at this rate.
-
Athletic, good work rate. Not seen any class/ability though.
-
SkySports do it every week. Big Joe is a red in wiating. Bruno's just so classy man.
-
I like the look of Onana. I thought he was fouled before the goal too but oh well. Him behind Bruno would be delish.

Excellent first half. Work rate, decisions, passing and that finish. -
I hope Gerrard can go on a run of form (excluding facing us). Poch will have Villa into a team that can fight for the top 7/8 within 18 months.
-
I've gone from 2.9m in GW6 to 920k in GW11 which i'm pretty chuffed about. If I half my rank again before the WC I will take it.
-
Everton have 1 more point than Villa and are 14th. Comparatively speaking Lampard's doing a better job. But there's not that much in it.
-
Potter said in an interview it ends in 2024. Everywhere else says 2023. Seems like there's an option. Not sure who needs to activate it.
-
He’s too streaky for Leicester. For us he could have 10 stinkers back to back and still start. Eventually hitting a purple patch.
-
Perez was a talented player. Not good enough for a top 6 club. But in the right setup a very effective second striker or wide forward type player. Good enough for a top 8-10 team when playing well but on his worst days wouldn’t look misplaced at Watford. I think most of us knew he wasn’t good enough to thrive at Leicester. There would be times where he wasn’t ‘on it’ and then he just wouldn’t get in that team. If a striker can stay fit. score 10 goals non penalties. Score 90% of their penalties on top. Hold it up well, battle defenders, link it up some - that’s a good PL striker.
