These need to finish top 7 next season. So much of the league wil have a dozen extra games.
-
He’s going to press like a madman though. And through that he’ll get goal and win the fans over. His lack of ability will show though. In many ways he’s the opposite of Rashford.
-
It’s weird one. I would be annoyed if we bought Gordon for £70m so can’t be mad at that selling fee
-
£70m + bonuses? Good business that

Weak foot as well -
Good pickup if we were in Europe for <£20m.

Will Osula: Goal vs Man United nominated for PL Goal of the Season

This is before I really respected his game. He does excellent work but I’m not excited or expecting anything until the shot is halfway to the goal and you can see the bend and trajectory of it and then suddenly it ‘OH MY!’ The stumble and the stiffness of the stepovers make it such a great goal too. -

Absolutely fell like a tank from this point Gyokeres over an Arsenal defensive double up was a major error. Compounded that by Losing major ground by captaining him then he doesn’t start. Broke my own FPL rules there chasing upsides. Always go with the more likely option - minimise fear of likely outcomes. Arsenal clean sheets over a Gyokeres haul. Saka less of a rotation risk. Was probably most punished by huge rank hit if like 40k final GW of the season taking a -8. That I don’t regret, a lot of ppl will have lucked into a Bruno VC haul. Of my 3 transfers 1 hauled, 1 returned but the captain blanked. 162k OR Lower than targeted better rank than last year -
I don’t mean originality I just mean evolution. It’s largely the same ideas again and again. The same basic midfield profile for 3 years. Same winger profiles for 3 years. Largely doing the same things. Like Klopp knew his team needed a little more ability in midfield. Got Thiago then started adding more technicians. Arsenal size and strength maxxing then set piece maxing when they started as old school Pep clones.

My biggest issue with Howe is a lack of evolution in his thinking over the years. Like every year I see a slight pivot in Arteta. I don’t see that with Howe. The consistent one is the lack of playing football.
-
Yep. This is the bigger problem for me. but I’m starting to think Howe is a genuine problem too. 2 months ago I didnt think that was the case.
-
I’ll drop the paragraphs on company time. I don’t know where I stand with Howe tbh.
-
I’ve lost a lot of faith in Howe this season.
-
Agreed. As long as the European competition continue in this format. I can see a PL team winning the Europa league and getting relegated.
-
I do fancy them for relegation next season. but beating us twice, finishing above us in 7th and qualifying for Europa league is an insane season. Im terrified they win it too.
-
I've got nothing against Spurs. But seeing Spurs relegated would be so sweet. I would expect you to be back in Europe within 3-4 years and doing your thing. But a year in the Champo? Would love to see it. But it's West Ham. All day West Ham.
-
Love him. He's not a Guardiola level manager. Mourinho. Ancelotti.
-
All top managers get this.
-
Wanted him to try and win another league title. Leaving after finishing 3rd & 2nd makes me think other managers have caught up to him. For 15 years he was clear of absolutely everyone in a league format.

Rumours of Ederson from Atalanta to Man U. Remember we were linked heavily sometime ago as a Joelinton replacement.
-
We absolutely bottled it. It’s funny that. Even with Arsenal - they’ve won the PL but they’ve not held their nerve significantly better than in other close seasons. Man City just were not good enough this year. A lot of ppl thought Man City wouldn’t be good enough. Guehi and Semenyo lifted the level but is not a vintage side at all. Think similar happened when Blackburn won the league right?
-
I also think Villa would be an established CL team

We were so bad that day man
