5 in defence. No shots on target at home. The Man Utd Way.

Best day in some time. Captained Vardy. Back into the top 40 of NO for the first time in some time. 130k overall. Would take remaining in the top 40 and top 150k overall this game week. CL and EL will make the last GWs exciting. Difficult to tell who will start most matches.

Miguel Almirón (now playing for Atlanta United)

Hasn’t had a sniff In his recent games. Something does need to change. -
Palace get loads of penalties because they have pacey, tricky dribblers. It’s not luck.

I disagree with you there my friend No that’s what Bonucci was essentially saying. And the kid didn’t do anything at all. I’m literally disgusted by his comments and Allegri’s too. Fuck Juve and Italian football. With the attitude they take to racism and football I can’t stand them. ‘He touched the ball with his heel, we must have respect for an opponent’ the day he’s been abused all game. Defend him you prick.

17 years old Jesus Christ. Sadly, it’s probably not the first time he’s experienced this at some level. That’s a restrained restrained response. Players have given way more back for far less abuse. Lost a lot of respect for Bonucci. seems like this is getting worse.

Blame is 50/50 between Kean and the fans because Kean made them eat shit after scoring

The Managerial Merry Go Round™ - Keith Andrews appointed at Brentford

Big Sam, Souness, SMC - can barely conjure up positive memories about those managers. Worst 3 in living memory. Pardew in that as well, the fact he wasn’t even sacked says it all about this owner. -
West Ham absolutely awful today. Could’ve been 4 or 5.

Ayozé Pérez (now playing for Villarreal)

Need to hear more. Looks like the boo-boys have got to him though. I guess he’s not on massive wages anyway. He’ll get more wherever he goes. I suspect we would pay him a decent chunk too. I wish him the best. We won’t get loads of money for the likes of him though. A 9 goal a season PL attacker, 25. Spanish, 2 years on the contract is worth what, £20m? Maybe 15m in Spain. -

Zidane is probably a better conparison. Enrique too. Don’t think Zidane was any tremendous shakes at Castilla but it was always going to happen. I’m modern football if you’re not wedded to a philosophy, the media won’t fawn over a Manager. OGS is in the Zidane style of pragmatism, leadership and man management. Think Ancelotti is similar. I do think pragmatism works better in cup competitions but ingrained philosophies is better for league campaigns. -
Watched a PL best goals thing on Sky. It was the 5th season. Man did we score some crackers that year. Ba and Cabaye against Man Utd Jonas against a wolves Hatems mazy one - Bolton I think Cisse had 4 amazing goals at the least No way was that going to happen again. A lot of confidence in that team. Helps when you defend bravely (without great organisation) and rely on literal bits of magic

But they still need that Coutinho replacement. Think they’ve been linked with Fekir who could do the job. I know. Liverpool improved when Coutinho left. Coutinho wasn't particularly creative, his best skill was just scoring screamers once in a while His expected assists for Liverpool per game was 0.32 for the last season and a half he was there. Milner averages 0.25 De Bruyne 0.38 Gini 0.05 Henderson 0.06 Eriksen 0.28 AOC 0.27 Kroos 0.22 Fraser 0.39 (this season only) Maddison 0.27 (this season only) Think that would prove otherwise. Also, Coutinho's able to put his foot on the ball and probe. Not necessarily create but build up a slow attack. They can't do that very well without him. But still they're a great time. Yeah WTF. His actual stats read much better. 16/17 36 Games - 14 Goals + 9 Assists. 17/18 19 Games- 12 Goals + 8 Assists Total - Goal Involvement 55 Games - 43 Goals Goal Involvement - .78 Expected assists is a nice stat because assists by nature require the other player to do their job and you can get an assist for a player scoring a screamer or wonder goal. Coutinho currently plays with Messi, Messi scores from all types of difficult positions. I think it’s a good indication of underlying creativity.

The point is more, you don’t need a perfect team to really compete consistently.
-
Liverpool have the same problem in midfield and they’re doing ok.
-
Most of the players from the World Cup have gotten better. Sterling and Kane too. And we’ve got more coming through.
-
Ah 22. Don’t agree with everything but the list seems fair. You have those in there for influence (Bielsa). Longevity. Cup wins. Style of play. Feel like Conte brought back 3 at the back across Europe. He certainly did for the PL. For that and his domestic success in Italy and England he’s worth his value in the top 50.
-
No Zidane. List is invalid.

Let people enjoy things. Their mans scored a clutch hat trick. Let them enjoy. For me Messi’s so clear. It just doesn’t matter what people think.
-
It got tiring years ago, part of me will be happy when both retire so football can collectively move on from both. I’m enjoying both now more than ever perhaps. It’s similar Tom Federer, Serena, Nadal, Djokovic. I’m beyond the point of comparisons. In the twilight I’m enjoying the masters at work. Not sure when i’ll See the likes again. Knowing it’s the autumn of their careers.
-
Don’t you guys get tired of Ronaldo vs Messi? Ronaldo’s a King. We’ll probably never see the likes again. Mentally, he’s on another level. He must be legit insane. You can’t be as good as he is, with his skill set without having that selfish angle to him. But as we’ve seen, unlike Neymar, it’s rarely to the detriment of the team. It’s ‘i’ll Win this for us lads’ rather than whatever it is Neymar does. At a point in time he was stronger, faster than everyone else and would use that along with his skill and technique to win. As he’s aged, he’s become the best penalty box attacker I’ve ever seen. He just wants it more, his mind is so fast. To be so far ahead of everyone bar Messi is extraordinary. I don’t think anyone expected him to be this good at 34 when he was 27. The way he’s refined his game is amazing. The way he’s still a great athlete is amazing. I can see him being a handy asset for a number of years to come. He’s so determined it’s unbelievable.

English teams finally making their financial muscle pay off. Think only Man Utd beat a team with a more expensive squad. And they’re 2 and 3 most expensive squads most likely.
-
Hope Liverpool win. They’ll bottle the final if they get there anyway. If they lose. They just have 7,8 games left in the season and relatively easy run in. They’ll wi the league as City burn out chasing the quadruple.

A man like Zidane... I don't know what the league titles would mean to him. The Juve job I get - win the CL there, do something he didn't do there as a player. France job, yeh get that. But manage Bayern Munich..... why?
