I think so. In League 1 or whatever his passing is fine. It's mostly going over his head anyway. Coming deeper would allow for his runs to not get picked up more. But as he's stepped up, his movement is still brilliant but some of the other aspects of CM play has been exposed imo. But he's young. FWIW I don't think Gerrard was a brilliant CM (in a 2) either. Sure he could influence the game more from deep but he was at his best under Rafa. In a 4, or in what was close to a free role. When he was deep later he wasn't as good as what was made out imo

Aye - all of the Santon non-ability to defend, with half the general football ability. -
Maybe i'm under-rating Dele but he seems to give the ball away a ton. He's a direct passer so maybe that's part of it... not a safe passer but he loses the ball way more than Eriksen for example. I agree with Carragher. To me he's more of a second striker. Gives it away too much to be a top level central midfielder in his current carnation.

Good thing about this is that it’s highlighted how modern racism is a bit more subtle. It’s rarely as bad as what happened at Chelsea. But it’s small, everyday things that in isolation don’t seem so bad. And it doesn’t apply to everyone all the time it’s nuanced. To the point Sterling felt people would only understand the point on his Instagram after outright abuse. As if he felt people wouldn’t understand the point otherwise.

Think someone else on talksport was attributing Lacazettes difficult first season to his apparent lifestyle and compared him to the humble Harry Kane. Talking about insta pictures with flash cars and that. There were no pictures of cars on Laca’s Instagram. Harry Kane had a couple. Worst of all I’m pretty sure he had Lacazette confused and with the free scoring Aubameyang who is flash. ‘The masses’ like their rich black footballers in the Kante mould.

On Thursday I was 7th on the NO table. Top 25k worldwide. I think i"m into the 30's on the NO table now. That's how bad my week was. Beyond just a shit weekend. I put Alonso on the bench. And I have missed penalty man himself Sigurdsson. Think I ended up on 22 or something. Luckily still got a decent gap in my private leagues. Edit: Ok I exaggerated i'm still top 20 on NO.

We have terrible support. We have no history of recent success. We don't know how to foster it. I don't follow other clubs closely but how often do other teams moan and groan at their own players? Us, Sunderland and West Ham. Big stadiums, shit football, shit crowds. -
Fans not boycotting but the key thing here is - "fuck Jamaal Lascelles". Great. Tremendous.
-
Gabriel J has been really poor. Be is still some type of focal point.
-
Taking hits is rarely worth it imo.

Think Sané will be rested.

Alonso man. Such a big goal threat. Think i’ll Bench him this week. Might give him another week after that. Could’ve brought in TAA for Alonso. But Brought in Fernandez, decent chance at a CS. Finally took out that injured Wolves defender. Been close a couple times recently to not getting 11 players out.

Man united still spend a lot of money. Moreso than they used too. Both of those fans played a big part in removing owners in the past. Likewise the Rangers fans would run Ashley out
-
This wouldn't run at Liverpool or Man United. It says more about us than anything imo.
-
Agreed.
-
We deserve what we get imo. I don't feel sorry for us or our fanbase. We don't turn up for 3 home games. That's massive. But we can't do it.

Ayozé Pérez (now playing for Villarreal)

That's true but so did everyone. Kenedy's regressed worse imo. Ritchie's dipped etc. I think Perez could be a decent proper striker off the bench. But he is what he is. 1.5m punt from the Spanish second division. The dangermen at the likes of Everton and West Ham - teams we should compete with - cost £30 to £50m. That's the gulf in class. Totally agree. You get what you pay for unfortunately for us, and with the FCB in charge, we are only going to get Lee Cooper and Firetrap rather than Ferrari or Rolex. Such a shame about Richie though, there is definitely a good player there, but he's regressed so much for some reason. I've said this before but I don't think it's easy being an attacker under Benitez at all. That's a contributing factor. I don't know about Valencia but he had Carew and Aimar. Carew I think had one great goalscoring season but overall wouldn't class him as a top striker. A decent goalscorer and a good target man I think is fair. At other teams I think some of our attackers could perform better. We've seen it with Mitro. But I don't think Perez and Ritchie's ceilings are close to Mitro. I think there's a couple levels Kenedy could do. -
Really high in the NO league now, think I had the best week of anyone in the top 30. Top 22k In the game. Top 8k in England. Dizzying heights.
-
It's been clarified now like.
-
It’s a foul. If the goalie is deemed in control of the ball it’s a foul. So a rebound where he gets one hand on it, you can take it off him. But if he’s caught it then has it in one hand - it’s his and would be a foul.
-
Decent week. Decent chance I’ve moved into the NO top 10. Should have 80 point leads in my private leagues too.
-
City's defence has been conceding more and more. Often due to daft decisions by Ederson though. Tempted to take out Laporte if they don't get a cleansheet in the next 2.
