  1. Also seems pretty streaky. Nearly all his goals last season came in a block. That’s pretty much the only time he’s scored regularly in his career too.
  2. Aye wanted a team we've not played in my lifetime or that I can't recall Real, Bayern, Atleti, we've played the other bigger names
  3. He's your archetypal Italian water carrier. The type they used to win major tournaments with routinely. They are meant to pass the ball to Baggio, Del Piero, Rui Costa, Kaka, Zidane etc.
  4. Could see the confidence rush back through his veins. Great to see on a human level someone just grow 3-4 inches in real time. First time in a long time it looked like he was having fun out there. Was gutted to be subbed. Must be like Cinderella at midnight - having the time of your life and having to leave early. He was knackered.
  5. I did call a back 5 and starting Ramsey and Elanga it's their type of game Overlooked Willock who was great too
  6. I think it does. In the PL - he always thinks we need strength and athleticism. So 3 proper midfielders that go up and down. He was happy to put Ramsey in a 2 man pivot because he's up against Vitinha and co, physically that's still in our favour. The question is whether he's willing to take those gambles in the league with a back 4.
  7. Definitely have to factor in possible dropped points/position in the league due to the extra 2 games. It does look like we'll get a favourable draw
  8. Singing goalkeepers in this era is so hard. Chevalier at PSG has looked ropey when I’ve seen him. And the replacement today was shocking.
  9. After playing so well I am disappointed to be in the play offs. But the ties look Favourable. A run to the last 16 being 12 games is crazy though.
  10. Massive shift and his engine was unbelievable tonight. Kept going right to the end and launched some counters. On the ball - it is what it is. Don’t think this is true mind. When he joined the reports and stats were that he could be loose with his passing. And we saw it when he couldn’t hold down a place. It did get better and it has regressed again but it’s always been a weakness to his game.
  11. Not with the passing. Great close control and ability to turn in tight spaces. But both he and Tonali were poor on the ball too often. Still a great shift and great to see him play in double pivot. I wonder if Howe is brave Enough to do it in the more physical PL
  12. Played lad. Tops for 45. And held his own for the rest.
  13. 1. Shearer. 2. Bruno. 3. Burn
