KPB is a good and flexible player. No world beater but seems a strange sale considering who they've brought in...
-
He needs to do better no doubt but I know there's a class player there.
-
At AM Fellaini is an immense battering ram. At CM he's bang average imo. Everyone knows I value physicality in this division. But if Moyes rather Fellaini than Kagawa in any position... he won't make it at Man Utd. Danny Welbeck can dio that job as it is to a good level.
-
Long-term it's better we do what TTM suggests. We don't think long-term however...
-
Under the circumstances of a 4-0 beating - he looked decent at CB. Prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt on that one as he did a few positive interceptions. Looked shaky as owt at LB but was better at CB. Then he was turboshite against Morecambe. I haven't seen an actual good came front to back from the lad yet this term.
-
He's not a Man U calibre player, if he was he would be playing for a CL club. He's got a lot of ability but he is never going to be a player who gets stuck in, it's just not in his make up. Our version of a hard working winger would be Jonas. **sigh** you don't have to be a workhorse to contend a 50/50. He just plays like he's scared to get injured or something
-
It was a horrible piece of play. I like Marveaux and have seen what he can do.... yesterday... yeah... he had some moments I guess.
-
Marveaux got a yellow for dawlding on the ball and having to bring the man down.... I wouldn't call that contesting a 50/50
-
He has more hope than Debuchy tbh. Time is very much on his side.
-
What have been the good games? WHU? Who did they have upfront?
-
Not really tbh. But i've seen it in other games. I'm one of the least biased posters on this board. I have no dislike for any players nor any favourites. I just judge them based on what I see and not because they've won a few caps for France. It's a pattern on this board where I point something out and i'm told i'm wrong for weeks. Until the penny finally drops and it's obvious to everyone. Happened with Santon, Colo, Ciise and Sissoko and if Mapou keeps playing like this it won't be long before people actually see what's happening on the pitch.
-
No Manchester United player is allowed to shirk physical confrontations. From 1 to 11 they won't do it. They simply won't be out worked 90% of the time. Out of all their wingers Nani is the least receptive to 50/50's and he memorably got sent off for competing decently for one. With Valencia, Young, Welbeck, RVP and Rooney in advanced areas you can't pretend only Stoke players should be able to do anything off the ball.
-
Seriously needs to lose weight.
-
Worst of all, I saw none of his supposed great qualities yesterday. On the ball - useless. Pace - only to make up for his poor play/positioning. At least with lads like Marv and Bigi i've seen something from them in terms of class. This lad? Nothing so far.
-
Every player on the pitch should be able to contend a 50/50 properly man.
-
We'd be better off signing a Morecambe player if that's a yardstick. I'm a big fan of Marveaux, but he has to show something in a 50/50 to justify playing in a midfield 3 imo. Even Juan Mata can come out with the ball in a 50/50 sometimes
-
I missed the West Ham game but he's been crap whenever I've seen him this season
-
I thought Debuchy did well in the air. I agree - perhaps Good/Dummet have that advantage. Still.. MYM was very poor.
-
Anyone going to mention how crap he was yesterday? Very slow and casual on the ball. Could've given away a penalty too. Wasn't a calming influence at all. Boumsong-esque that performance.

Gaƫl Bigirimana rejoins Coventry on a permanent basis
The College Dropout replied to Fenham Mag's topic in Football
He seemed to need an extra touch to control the ball and he simply could not cope with Morecambe's physicality. They steam rollered him at times. Positively, he plays a lot of forward balls. -
You need some genuine width somewhere. Everton play Pienaar on the leftof a 4-4-2/4-4-1-1 but they have Baines providing real width. Us There's right footed Jonas and right footed Santon. Today we had Marv looking to come narrow but Debuchy stayed at home......... no width or danger from that side of the pitch. A bigger issue than that imo is closing down
-
Needs to show he can contend a 50/50 properly.
-
Sometimes can't pass 2 yards or control a ball, sometimes majestic... he's certainly an Ameobi
-
Agree with Mole. Also doesn't help that we can't string two passes together. Shouldn't play if he's going to be outwide. It's that simple.
