I like Leon Best like, should never have been sold.
-
My mate has just called him Go Miss after watching his You Tube montages.
-
I've never heard of him. How old is he?
-
I choose to believe you, Ian. I do too. I do really believe that he has a genuine love for NUFC, so much so that he would reject any sort of approach from any club...[/perhapstoomuchwishfulthinking?] It's a job, nothing more. Love doesn't come into it for professional footballers, just fans.

Spot on. A vocal minority of posters on here are sounding like EDL members in my opinion. Cisse is entitled to his beliefs, and has the human right to say no to anything that affects his ability to practice his faith. The real minefield, is having established that right can he still play for us in his terms, or does the club have the right to suspend him until they can make the sale? FIFO in my john humble like, exactly like when we were relegated and Nolan, Smith and Barton said the same to the likes of Martins, Duff and Bassong.

But their entire business model doesn't rely on getting people to take out loans they can't pay back, as is the case with payday loans companies which get 50% from their income not from interest, but from fines and charges for missing payments. Barclays charge horrendous amounts for missing payments and going over your limits just like all financial institutions. It's just a cop out way of engineering a transfer.
-
barclays are scum also, he's objecting to only one, why ? You can't compare Barclays and Wonga - they are two completely different businesses Wonga are a horrendous company and it was a sad say when they were announced as our club sponsors and I don't care for how much money. Newcastle was once a proud club MA has turned it into one of his cheap shops. Cisse is making a stand, forget what the papers say, this is more a morale stand than a religious one. It's an absolute joke the club have allowed it to get to this point. Is it too much for the Club and Wonga for that matter to show a little respect and say fair enough as a gesture of good will we'll allow you not to wear the shirt. Wonga would have had some 'good' publicity out of it and everyone would have been a winner. As it stands the club is in a mess, more bad publicity and a VITAL player unhappy and potential out of the door. And for what? Having had a fair bit of dealing with Barclays both personally and professionally i'd say Barclays are a horrendous company as well yet he's quite happy with them.
-
just seems a lame thing to take a stand on given he's been ok with it in the past. I think we need to realise that Wonga are a lot worse than Virgin Money. I'm sorry but they are not and I agree with Madras that Barclays are even worse. he 's just using this as an excuse to engineer a move.
-
Except of course both they and Ashley see all publicity as good publicity. It's a nonsense. He plays in the Barclays League He wore a Virgin Money Shirt. He likes gambling in casinos He sits smoking shisha pipes in a scruffy cafe. It's a conveniant excuse to engineer either a move or a big pay rise. I wonder if he invests his massive pay packet in ISA's and High Interest Offshore Bank Accounts as well?
-
What the thick twat seems to have missed is the fact that by alledgedlly refusing to wear anything Wonga branded he's actually giving them 10 times more publicity than he if he just got his head down and wore it.

He's a crock of shit and the sooner he goes the better. £23K a week man FFS!

Official: Yoan Gouffran signs new contract with Goztepe
ujpest doza replied to Tooj's topic in Football
Agreed on his fitness, have to make allowances for him being new to the league I guess. A full pre season may have helped mind. -
thats not what pards is hoping she'll pull.
-
So ITK he's behind the local paper you've lost me here mind, i'm just passing on a comment I read elsewhere that those on international duty aren't actually due back yet of which Cisse is one, so if he's in the gym it's not because he's been banished there. I don't read the local or national papers.
-
Someone with a bit of ITK knowledge elsewhere reckons he's in the gym on his own because he hasn't actually reported back for proper training yet due to playing internationals and isn't officially back in training until next week. He's just keeping himself in shape ready for his return. As always, a nothing story from the Mirror who especially like to stir up it would seem.

Aye and the same result would suit me!!
-
I agree, i used to have a skinfull before every home game and also when i travelled away but i rarely ever have 1 drink even these days since i started taking the bairn.
-
Yip, i saw that. Only 1 live game at 1730 on the saturday that weekend and no monday night game yet they have a 1200, 1400 and 1600 game on the sunday. Why??? Is it CL week either side or something?
-

Good luck to him, he will be a big miss due to his versatility and hard graft.
-
He's not like. Cisse is a scorer of great goals but not a great goalscorer as he misses loads of easy chances and doesn't understand offside.

Haris Vuckic in Eldon Square about 1.45 today with their lass.

Really? Howay. Dunno whether it's just because it's the summer so it's not affecting us on the pitch yet, but I've certainly not been too upset by it all. The initial announcement just left me incredulous. If we start losing good players and/or bringing absolute shite in then I'll start to spit the dummy out. I Agree, am just enjoying the summer, time to worry is if we start badly, sell good players and don't buy good replacements.

WBA and Villa at home were decent mind.
