  1. Looks like the bloke who works in Salt & Peppers (next to Goose), their Turks aswell. Arsenal have a big Turkish support from that London as well so he may well have been an Arsenal fan.
  2. To be fair, he looks foreign and the white adidas top looks like a foreign football club shirt.
  3. How i feel and i'm sure he will do a good job for somebody. My main memory of him is his goal line clearences at Man United last season when we drew 1 all.
  4. nee idea as a bloke a few rows in front had a heart attack and we were too busy watching the medics work on him. fucks sake hope he's alright? They had him sitting up in his seat and were talking to him when we left so it may have been an angina attack rather than a heart attack but at first they were pretty concerned and were giving him oxygen.
  5. He was an absolute disgrace today. Not fit to ref Sunday morning kids games.
  6. He did well today. We played better when he came on for cab aye

  8. They usually always stay there but couldn't when we played them last august due to a wedding reception being booked first and they ended up staying at the Radisson in Durham. I'm sure it was one of Wengers gripes about why they never beat us.
  9. Disapointing that we aren't offering him a new contract as i think he's a decent defender who holds his position and defends, and doesn't try anything fancy. He's not a right winger or a midfield player so i don't understand why people expect him to be. He's an honest pro and as a defender only i don't really see Debuchy as being a big upgrade.
  10. Just his mates round to watch the match man
  11. But that wasn't the prompt. Who's to say it would only be a year? That's just a possibility, as easily as being in the Championship for three seasons would be. I think people are taking our last go in the Championship a bit lighter than it really was because we came straight back up. If we hadn't come back up in the first try there would've been some much bigger questions to ask. Or maybe I just reeeeallly want to win something? We all do, and staying in the Premier League gives us the best chance of that. It doesn't like. Only need to win 6 games to win the cup, got to win a lot more than that to win the league.
  12. FA Cup all day long, it's a total no brainer. Winning one of them funny silver cup things is what it's all about, not fighting to stay on the PL gravy train.
  13. The jammy jammy jammy twats. Said to my mate in the 1st half that Benfica were gonna get sucker punched for trying to walk it in all the time and not shooting.
  14. They were going to do it in 1996 with us until we threw it away. Not quite, ours was to go to a play-off: http://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/images/67617000/jpg/_67617161_premier_league_ticket.jpg Play off in 1996??? I cannot remember anything about that?

  17. Although some aspects of his game have been quite admirable, Cisse's conversion rate has been awful this season. Aye, I put him as the biggest disappointment on the Chronicle survey. Obviously I didn't expect him to continue last season's ridiculous strike rate but the number of excellent chances he's missed has definitely contributed to our downfall. It'd help if we had other players capable of scoring more like, though the defensive nature of much of our play hasn't helped this. Reading at home being a prime case in point where others said the keeper played a blinder whereas i thought Cisse's finishing had been poor and he should have had a hat trick.
  18. Usually a good atmosphere at Sheff Wed with those wooden seats rattling and an allocation of circa 6000 +
  19. The ball would appear to have been on the deck a lot more mind given the aerial duel statistics.
  20. Err, he said on Radio Newcastle after the game that he was sat on the bench hoping he wouldn't have to go on because he felt so stiff and sore after the bloody warm up man. He should have retired a few years ago now.
  21. I thought he'd missed at first. Trevor Francis and his co commentator were saying he'd buried it, great pen etc whereas at the time i thought he'd sky'ed it. BBC MOTD were nearer the mark mind, saying an inch higher and it would have rebounded out as it did narf take a whack off the crossbar.
