My mate has just literally bumped head on into Roman Abramovich on the Fulham Road with 2 other blokes who didn't look like bodyguards.

Embarrassing. It's cringeworthy considering Simpson has played every game in a team that has got us to where we are in the league. -

Shame for Simpson with him being our only 100 percenter in both league an cup and he isn't as bad as some on here suggest either. -

I disagree, i think they're all playing for their place in the FA Cup Final and as they're winning games no one wants to miss out. If it was a week or two to go I'd agree but not 3 days. Matteo will already know his two teams i'd imagine. Daliglish evidently doesn't if last nights anything to go by. -

I like the attacking intent but it simply won't happen. Taylor or Perch will play there and rightly so. Btw those who are saying that we should go to Chelsea and attack are off their lips. I don't get this idea that because we have had a good season we should just throw caution to the wind. If Wigan can tear us apart in 20 mins so could Chelsea. IMO we should keep it tight and be expansive on the break, like we should have done at Wigan. No dropping Ba, who is the main reason we are in this position. The most important thing by far is not to concede early. Chelsea have a lot on their minds, let's bore them into submission, then set Hatem on them. Agree entirely, if we are too open we'll get possed. -
Aye, the pointy haircut he was sporting at dinnertime didn't make him look special at all!!!

Sammy Ameobi sporting a ridiculously pointy haircut in Eldon Square at dinnertime with a ginger kid who was wearing a tee shirt with something about youth cricket on it.
-
he wasn't out of sorts. he was our most threatening player when he actually got the ball and not just in the 2nd half either as he created a chance for Ba near the end of the first half.

Abeid over Perch? What in the hell are you on now? Abeid played last night in the senior cup final anyway, no way would he play wednesday as well anyway. Either Perch right back as a straight swap or Santon Right Back and Fergie or Jonas left back. Jonas could even play right back to be fair as that's where he played for Argentina in the last world cup. -

I can live with that as long as we're going for wins and get beaten. oh aye, i agree, but i just think we needed the win on saturday to keep the momentum up and don't think we'll recover from it in these 3 games. -

i fear we won't win another game now, 3 defeats loom. -
My thoughts exactly. They will come at us which is what we want. They dont possess much of a threat yet we do on the break. If we can get an early goal i expect us to dominate the game. Also...Beating Wigan could have an impact on the Spurs game who play Blackburn. Rovers could then go level on points with Wigan, going above on goal difference. It's a shame its at WHL like because I'm sure I read Spurs haven't won away in 2012? Either way, if we win the pressure is well and truly on Spurs and Chelsea. Would have been more confident if Wigan had won last week, funnily enough. Spurs havent been great for a while though and Blackburn are sure to give them a fight. Anything can happen. A favour from QPR, Stoke and Blackburn at the weekend could well see us seriously challenging for 3rd come Sunday night. Arsenal always seem to struggle at Stoke as well. Either way just focus on our game and put pressure on the rest Shame to think if Vermalen didn't score with the last kick we would be sitting joint third with a game in hand (I think). They do but Stoke have nowt to play for now whilst Arsenal have. Like you say, all we can hope for is we that we take care of our own business and hope for a little luck in other games which to be fair we have had quite a bit of in the last 2 months (Results strangely going our way). I tend not to think about what could have happened if... Theres too many...Mackems, Wolves, Fulham, West Brom and Arsenal etc. Aye exactly, me old man always says it balances out over the season, he's right I suppose. We've picked up points in games I didn't give us a chance in as well (Man U home/away). Thats been the reason we have been so good this season though. In seasons gone by we have been turned over by the top teams and lost or drawn at home against inferior sides. The fact we have become solid at home again is a major point in why we are where we are. Our away form has been pretty good too. Worth noting, we beat Wigan 1-0 home and away last year. We are chasing a club record 7 straight wins and Cisse will be on the hunt for a 7th scoring game in a row to be the 1st player to do so since Adebayor in 2008. We drew 2-2 with Wigan at home last year with Colocinni scoring an injury time equaliser.

Marveaux won't play again this season or make the bench. Again...You know this how? He has been training for a week now and Pardew has said he is available. I think him not being in the squad thmora is more loyalty to the lads who have been in the squad all season. Marveaux gotta push his way into contention for last few games. Kid who is best mates with Steven taylor and posts on another forum named last saturdays team on the thursday and said marveaux wouldn't play again this season.

1992 Portsmouth (h) 1-0 (0-0) Division Two 49pts, 20th Kelly(84) 25,989 Possibly the most important goal ever scored by a Newcastle player. What a day. My mate had my Season Ticket and was dead late and didn't meet me with it until 2PM outside the 3 Bulls and had a couple of our radgies and about 15 Dundee radgies with him. We walked up to the ground and they bumped into a bunch of Pompey radgies queing to get into the East Stand and a kid with us got nicked. I remember a load of confetti flying through the air out of the leazes corner away end as we walked round the back of the leazes and i also remember not being able to get a programme before going to my seat in the Milburn Stand Corner as they'd sold out. Remember nothing else of the game except the goal which saw the place go absolutely berzerko.
