I didn't think they were that bad to be honest. We were bloody good and hardly broke sweat but they weren't that bad. -

20 Years ago today i was in tears cos i really thought that was it after we'd lost 4-1 away at Derby and 3 players sent off. Was one of the best atmospheres i've ever experienced but a horrible feeling at full time.

5 wins in a row and still get this s***? I aint giving him shit. I just think it was wrong to go away from the sucsessfull 4-3-3, just to please Ba or something. We dont know his reasons. If it had not been for some Ben Arfa magic against Bolton, we would prolly have given away points there. When did we change the formation to please Ba? We started 4-3-3 v Bolton. I am not sure what your problem is, you just seem to want to have something to complain about as what Pardew said has nothing to do with what you are whinging about.... We played 4-4-2 for 90 minutes against Bolton mind. -
i thought the schools were supposed to go back yesterday. fucking wingnuts not letting wor papiss get a haircut in peace Catholic Schools in Gateshead are still off this week, CofE schools went back on monday but in any case schools finish between 2.30 and 3.30 anyway.

Will we qualify for the Champions League? Sadly not...

I think that was a great result for us mind. Think it will have knocked the stuffing out of Spurs and would have been funnier still had parker got sent off at the end. -

Shackles are off now, no pressure. Hopefully we go into this game and just go for it. I just hope this doesn't have the opposite effect. Knowing we're in Europe now I hope we don't take our foot off the pedal, whereas if Everton had won yesterday, we'd have been going hell for leather to get 5th and effectively 4th. We'll still be giving 4th a try without doubt, but I just hope it doesn't fizzle out now. hey, get your own material LOL -

His Mam taking him to Metroland? Edit: just remembered it's not there any more. :'( he was in the vicinity as it happens, came up the escalator towards nandos but headed to the car park!! Was with a lass and was wearing a Franklin and Marshall top which made me think ftm.

I live in the area and admit i don't like mid week home games as they're a pain after being at work all day etc but for us to drop 20K off our normal league gate for a competition that we've strived all year the year before to enter is bit much. We don't drop 20K for mid week league games. -
Hardest game in the world, was in it 40 Years man and Boy etc etc.

If I remember rightly, the lowest we got in europe was still high twenties, maybe even 30,000 And still higher than many of Liverpools europe attendances when not in C.L. under Roy Evans or Souness (if wrong I stand corrected, but 12,000 v. Dundalk mid-80s) Defo approx 26K against Herenveen in 2005 and only 30K against fenerbahce who had 3500 fans themselves. Our european attendances have been atrocious. EDIT Just checked, 26K v Henerveen who brought about 1500 over and 25K against Celta Vigo who brought nish but couldn't be considered as being not a well known name at the time. We only had 28K against Alkamaar in the last 16 as well and they brought about 2K over themselves. -

Yeap you're correct. 48,370 The reason they were low was because ST holders had to buy all 3 group games in a block and Shepherd jacked up the prices to try and cash in. I think that was for th previous CL Campaign when we played Barca. I agree about our European attendances which have been shocking including some sub 30K attendances and i hope all of those singing about Italy actually bother their arse to show up when we're playing some shit from Slovakia in the europa league on a cold night in November.
