Newcastle United 4 - 1 Blackpool - 10/04/10 - post match reaction from page 7

I thought Blackpool were abysmal, on a par with Scunthorpe. Our players hardly got out of 2nd gear it was so easy. -
Will there now be "A brief guide to the Premiership" sticky?

This /\ and seeing as we drew home and away with Everton last time and also beat Aston Villa and Spurs at home i'd no one except the top 3 plus Liverpool. -
tour of devon and cornwall

Oh aye, and just like Scunthorpe we owe these cunts a hammering and am confident that we will duly dish out one anarl.

Bugger. It'll sell out and the club will say it was 47 thousand  There are virtually whole sections of the platinum club/milburn level 2 unsold at £40 and £45 a ticket, as there were on monday night. Reasonably priced tickets virtually all gone. That's why the crowd wasn't 50K+ as people won't pay the corporate prices for CCC football and i can't see them being sold out much in the Premiership either.

Would it be wrong to expect more than just survival next season?

I'll be dissapointed if we don't finish as high as 12th to be honest. Outside of the top 6 the premier league holds nothing to fear and also a lot of dross. -
I used to work with a lass who lives in those flats.

April Fool obviously.

Bank holidays aren't global holidays. It's easter Monday though, not just a random Bank Holiday.

It's a bank Holiday on monday though man.

Monday, with WBA losing 2nd spot to Forest thrown in and the Title sewn up at home to Blackpool.

I too am keeping an eye on Reading. However I 'd be very surprised if we got into the play-offs. Having said that, compared to where we were at Christmas, mid table is a surprise!!! Looking at the BET365 table though most of the division could still be relegated- strange times. Good luck. I hope Reading make it. I've no time for the scabs following their hypocrisy of 1974, I've no time for the welsh teams and Leciester are just boring. Even the word is boring. Lineker reminds me of a used car salesman. Add 1996 to 1974 as well, or just Ian Woan anyway.

Yep. No one will convince me that Nolan isn't carrying excess weight which he could lose if he changed his diet/lifestyle. I don't know what he eats (or drinks which might have a more significant bearing) but the double chin isn't genetic. I'm sure one of the other players (may have been coaches) said that Nolan was the best trainer at the club and also the fittest player. His body frame makes his body shape and he covers a lot of ground on the pitch. When he is skipper he is brilliant at organising and cajoling the best out of the other players. He is also hilarious when trying to put the oppos keeper off at Free kicks.

Yet when i looked Level 7 Leazes wasn't sold out completely and there were a good 300 tickets available in the last block of level 7 before it becomes the milburn. -
West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll

Did he? Tbf that is good a thing as most people from G-Head usually pop along to court in the best tracksuit which is usally the Lacoste one. Have you ever been to Gateshead? I don't own a tracksuit and haven't bought anything lacoste for about 12 years. Lots of posters on here will also live in Gateshead or come from Gateshead and won't like the sterotype/dissing of their town. Never been to G-Head in my life, I have only herd the horror stories about it & some say it is like North Shields of 70's. So how can you call somewhere you've never been to? -

No it isn't, parts of Newcastle, Sunderland, North and South Tyneside are far far worse. I've lived in Gateshead for 42 years and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. -

Exactly. I couldn't care less what any player does if he's doing the business on the pitch. -

So anyone who doesn't think Taylor is not necessarily a complete c**t must be a member of his family? Tragic tbh. Not as tragic as someone who thinks the sun shines out of all the Newcastle players' (past and present) arses and can't see the blindingly obvious though! Why/how is it "blindingly obvious" that Taylor is a complete c**t? Why/how does pointing out that Given's 11-year service to the club should not be forgotten = the sun shining out of every NUFC player's arse? For the record, I think it's pretty clear that Nolan is a complete c**t, Leon Best is utter shite, Colo will bomb again the PL and Simpson will be raped at right-back next season week in week out. Good enough for you pet? Given is forever tainted as a rat who jumped ship and didn't have the bottle to see out the season and possibly keep us up. Taylor is a knob. Leon Best is just over awed and short on confidence, if he gets a goal he'll look much better. Colo will be okay next season but i agree simpson is pony. -

...because Coloccini has done more this season, is the simple answer. Did or didn't Taylor play very well this season up until his knee injury? Williamson has looked better than Taylor alongside Colo in my John Humble. That said I've always been a bit of a Taylor sceptic. He seems very good at talking the talk but as a centre back I do believe he's guilty of always looking for the Hollywood tackle. Probably something that a lot of supporters don't want to admit but true nonetheless. Doesn't mean that Taylor has done badly, just brings a bit of perspective to the debate. we are a different set up at home since dropping the smith or butt idea. that may be part of it. I just think that Williamson is a more dominating centre half especially in the air, which compliments Coloccini well. I agree, I do like Taylor though and am not sure about this whole "yeah good, glad the cockney got knocked out" stuff that is starting to appear. Ok he is the "all action hero" a bit of a tit but a harmless one and I think his heart is in the right place so I don't understand why some sections seem to really have it in for him. Taylor is a Jack of all trades but master of none at the moment. He's the Aaron Hughes of this generation which is why we get seasoned posters suggesting he play right back. I still see him as a good prospect at CB but he's got way above himself. Whether he's worth what he thinks he is I highly doubt. Is that the Aaron Hughes that we should never have sold and ended up replacing with invariably inferior players?? That's him. -

Possibly, but tickets sold isn't whats announced on the night, it's numbers through the turnstiles and for mid week night games a lot of ST holders don't go/can't go which is why some of our mid week attendances have been low eg WBA in particular. -
kid on Skunkers came up with this one : Oh Andy Carroll you can break my jaw Oh Andy carroll everytime you score Oh Andy Carroll I want Greasy hair too!
