Can't imagine Plymouth will bring a lot either. You'll be surprised, they are pretty well supported away from home and are well up for it if you read their forums. My ticket for the east stand came today, can see the logic in closing Level 7 but don't like having to move.

Derby looked fuller, than Boro which was 49,600 or something, and as full as almost any game last season. Definitely more than 47,500. i agree with this, Derby match the ground looked full whereas it didn't against Boro. I am in the East Stand and from that position it is easier to see whether we have a big crowd or not, the usual areas that are generally empty are the premium ones such as the Platinum Club, Bar 1892 and Sovereign Club all in the Milburn. I can also see right around level 7 and if I am totally honest the Boro game looked like there were far fewer gaps in the crowd, the away area was fuller and generally I thought that the Derby crowd, although impressive, was clearly lower than the Boro crowd. Fair enough, but the Level 7 siging section extended into the first section of the away end and from my position in Level 7 Milburn the corners in the east stand are usually empty but were full against Derby.

Lol, I only metioned that because in my view against Boro, a few fans never actualy attended despite having a ticket/season ticket, and some fans maybe going off on their holidays when the game is on, if so let someone else use your ticket. true re Boro. My daughter for starters, didn't go to Boro or Derby and i doubt she'll be at the WBA game either due to cold and her losing interest a bit (she's only 6 and i only got the ticket for originally so i'd get £100 off ie £494 for me or £400 for the 2 of us is a no brainer) but the 2 seats next to her's were empty as well and they are ST holders. Should be tickets sold that count imho.

Plymouth Argyle vs Newcastle United - Pre Match Thread (2nd Jan 2010 - 3pm)

Will Geremi not be away to the ACN? Don't think so as the opening fixture of the ACN is on 13th Jan. I think he's already gone. -
We're unbeaten for 2 months and Sheff Wed is the only game i can think of where we've had to come from behind. He isn't very good and i thought Ryan taylor was playing alright on the right today.
-
He's as fast as lightening but can't control a football. Will get a game all season long on the back of that goal.
-
He got given the MOTM award by Sky on Boxing day. http://www.blakeneymanor.com/images/carryon/shock.jpg The same SKY for Whom Dion Dublin said there was no way that was a foul on Harper.

It's dry but baltic.

Snow on our pitch will not be a problem, we've got heating under the grass. Will that not waterlog it though? I thought undersoil heating was for frozen pitches, not pitches covered in snow. They'd need to clear the snow first. They had those Sun lamp things on full blast and the floodlights partially on when i came home at 6 o clock. -

Couple of games there have been a fair number in that section, Swansea for one. Don't they give tickets to school children for there? Nee idea, but currently 1 section of it is on sale with a limited availability and the rest is unavailable. -

Looking at the plan there are only 37 seats left in Level 7 - defo 50,000+ crowd and the Championship record But level 7 has been virtually full all season. Its the corporates and the lower Leazes that have been empty. Looking at the map area there is just one corporate area doing poorly (about 30% sold) - the rest of the ground is not far off sold out It's canny as well as you can click on each section and see which seats are left. The Leazes lower is virtually sold out, there's only one section of the Platinum Club towards the Gallowgate thats not nearly sold out. Club say they're expecting over 45K though which sounds low to me after looking at the plan in detail (i'm bored stiff at work and am here till 5.30 with bot all to do). Having not counted up I'm not 100% certain but if you look at each section it looks to be no more than a 1000 seats still available Most of the nearly sold out sections have less than 10 tickets left. There's only the 2 Platinum Club sections at each end of the Milburn that have plenty tickets left. Unless Boro don't sell more than 1500 tickets i think it'll be over 50K no problem. -

I don't think plod wanted Cardiff fans to stay over on the saturday night and think this may prevent that. Also Sunday and MOnday non starters for us as we are away to Derby on the tuesday night.

Barnsley 2 - 2 Newcastle United - 12/12/09 - post match reaction from page 22
ujpest doza replied to Nate's topic in Football
Well said Milburn lad - the 92/93 side WOULD have mullered most teams in this league and DID 'muller' Barnsley 6-0 at SJP in March 1993 as I remember. No way will this side survive in the Prem unchanged. Maybe, BUT the 1992/93 team got beat 1-0 at Barnsley in dec 1992. ...True - but do you think that Ashley will buy players like Andy Cole(as KK did in the second half of the 92/93 season)which were instrumental in our getting some big scores late in the season..? And do you think that we will beat Barnsley 6-0 at SJP this time round(or anyone, come to that)? No, No chance. -

Mmmm, it's irrelavent really, winning is what brings the crowds in, although i do understand your point. We played some lovely attractive football under Ardiles, but conceded shedloads of stupid goals and played to low crowds.

West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll

Was it? Players have little scuffles in training all the time. 'Little Scuffles.' Doesn't describe it though, this was a fight, and when it came out why the fight started it just made the whole thing sound even dafter. He clearly has anger issues of sorts, and is easily wound up. Yet N'Zogbia also has previous for being involved in fights with fellow colleagues. I was unaware of this, who with? Matty Pattison for one. Matty used to live next door to my mother in law and is still mates with my brother in law. Blames Charlie Zog for deliberately crocking him in training resulting int he injury that pretty much knacked his PL career. Nothing to do with him being nowhere near PL standard like. As the other lad says he was very good before that injury and could have been a very good PL player. He is now playing in South Africa to try and get in the world cup squad. And contrary to popular opinion he's a nice kid. -

Were they unbearable when he was banging in hattricks? There is no way he is any more frustrating than Harewood or Carroll. 1 Hat trick.
