Surely what you and many others on here see in Rafa Benitez is not only a manager but a new direction for the club?.. When it takes a relegation just to show a modicum of ambition, however good the news it doesn't signal a change or new direction until that momentum is evident. I know that's unexciting but whilst Rafa is definitely the right man and has always sought perfection as we've known all along, I'm not trusting the club to have done the same. Well, they sought out Rafa in the first place.. Not a typical NUFC thing was it? Opening day of the season against WBA, the game where we thumped Ipswich, and the home game against boro The Sunday before Christmas, Channel 5 have the Highlights rights these days, when we were last in the championship the BBC used to show them on a show that was on after MOTD. Only live games now are on Sky I think.

Totally agree with this. Watch his face and his eyes are always following the ball. It looks awful in slow motion and in stills but I agree that in the wider context of what happened I think he was genuinely trying to plant his foot down and get his body in front to shield the ball from Walker. I don't think it was a deliberate foul.
