Newcastle United vs Huddersfield Town - 13/8/16 @ 3:00pm - No TV

Have Clark and Diame been allocated squad numbers yet? -
Jonas made similar comments to Sissoko about wanting to leave straight after our relegation iirc. Changed his mind only after Maradona said he would still go the world cup regardless of who he was playing for.

Day before pay day and I haven't got a pot to piss in. Mind I haven't been to a cup tie since Cardiff due to our lack of effort in them. -
Is he still warming Chelsea's bench? He wouldn't dirty his boots in the Championship for QPR so can't see him doing it for us.

I half heard what he was saying, what was it all about? Cardiff play tomorrow night, currently they are seeded, if they don't go through then Bristol City will be seeded. As a result Bristol City are drawn twice, once for if they are seeded, once for if they are not. what a farce. -
It's the only one I thought looked attractive enough for Sky to bother with to be honest. Only other one might have been Cardiff but the rest of our fixtures at that time don't really stand out.

He only came back for pre season training on Monday and needed to be assessed etc so hadn't trained properly with the rest of the players before the game. He should be considered this weekend though, and as much as I think his control and final ball are rubbish his pace and power will frighten and stretch teams in this league if he bothers his arse. Mind you though, that pace and power works best when we sit deep and hit teams on the break which I don't think will happen in this league, other teams will sit deep and expect us to break them down which we aren't very good at. -

How many full backs do we actually need? We have Dummett, Sterry, Anita, Walmart, Jesus, Mbabu, Clark, Haidara. We need a creative and mobile midfielder and a goalscoring centre forward who can hold the ball up. Signing more left backs is Pardewesque. -
Kid at the Rotherham game got a red card for very little whereas Ayoze was blatantly pushed down when through on goal. Should have been a red imo.

I don't know but since we've been relegated there's naff all in The Mirror about us, they seem to concentrate exclusively on the Premier League.

Head and Shoulders above everyone else last night, our best player by miles.

Rob Elliott with wife and baby walking along the sea front this afternoon at Cullercoats heading towards Tynemouth. He's as skinny as a rake close up mind.

Ritchie and...? Don't remember a second glorious opening. Might just be age catching up with me. Aarons air shot perhaps?? Very poor that, created very little, were too defensive and I don't think the penalty claims in the 2nd half were stonewall. One in the first half was probably a pen but so was Hanley's challenge on their forward too. -

Funnily enough, the worst game I saw ever, after almost 45 years of attending league football, was the 1-0 win there with Fat Sam in charge and Barton scoring from a pen. Dismal, cold, boring, lifeless...and that was just the half-time beer. That was bloody awful on TV, cant imagine what it was like actually being there  It's funny how much this game is referenced when you talk with other NUFC fans about shit games. I remember exactly where I watched it. Was awful. I was at a works xmas do at the civic centre and we met in Luckies at 5PM to watch the match before going across the road to the civic. I was mortal by the time they served the turkey. -
Aye, we got the same letters and you do just use last years ticket.

Yeah I would have said 47-48k would be about right. For some reason I just expected this match to be a certain sell out (it might be yet) but I suppose looking back at when we were last in the Championship we started with a 37k crowd v Reading and even by mid March when we were cruising at the top of the league we only pulled in 39k against Scunthorpe. In fact our only sell out that season was the final game against Ipswich when we were presented with the Championship trophy. Looking at the ground map the gallowgate end is well populated but the leazes end looks empty with loads of seats available. We attract a hell of a lot of day trippers when we're in the Premier League, both from the UK and abroad and I don't think we'll attract so many for Championship games. Having said that, the FL season starts pretty early and slap bang in the middle of peak holiday season so like last time I think crowds will be a slow burner with people picking and choosing and also waiting to see how we're doing before committing. I'd expected more demand for this one mind with it being a Saturday 3PM kick off and Huddersfield getting an initial 3200 tickets too, but as you've said we only had 1 sell out crowd last time we were down and couldn't even get 50K at xmas against Boro, just falling short.

I cannot remember Cole missing many chances (if any) to be honest. 68 goals in 84 games tells it's own story.

A day pass on Nowtv is £6.99, a 7 day pass is £10.99 and a month is £33.99. Actual Sky Sports itself is cheaper, they have an offer on at the minute for Sky Sports and Movies for £18 a month on top of your normal sky subscription. -
We'll be playing for nil nil draws against San Marino and Andorra man.
