  1. I'm sure the bit about international airports also had something about there needing to be 2 nearby so that charter flights for both clubs went to different airports. Not sure Durham Tees Valley could cope with the sudden influx of 60 charter flights. That's how they did things for the Champions league final at the Nou camp between Man utd and Bayern. One set of charters went to Girona and the other set to Reus.
  2. Merse reckons that Villa are a bigger club than we are. To be fair I think he's right.
  3. What's the 74 number about ? Number of goals they've conceded ? Average IQ in Birmingham ? They were formed in 1874 so have staged walkouts in the 74th minute etc.
  4. Plenty others. West Ham & Millwall Portsmouth & Southampton Are two that have more than football at the heart of them, similar to here to do with dock workers and strikes etc.
  5. I thought he had but can't remember which one and am sure he little or no influence on it.
  6. Just the sort of game we usually lose so I am not taking anything for granted. We were on a little run of decent form when we drew with these in December in the monsoon and they didn't look to bad at Watford on Saturday.
  7. Did you see Norwich and Southampton or is the revival limited to the last 3 games...........and we were as bad as I've seen us this season till Liverpool started to cruise. Look at how many save Darlow had to make with easy open shots from 20yds or so. We are better organised from dead balls but don't seem to be overall. why is our revival limited to 3 games when we're unbeaten in 4? Thats not helping as we were cack against Swansea for the most part. Don't get me wrong, we are at a part of the season and being where we are where results are more important than performances but I just don't see so far that Rafa, as much as I rate him, has made us more organised etc. Here man, what the f***? Are you smoking crack? Seriously. Us not looking more organised is up there with hundreds of billions, you absolutely f***ing looney. Based on what we've been playing ? V man city, yes, as good as I've seen us this season. A s*** Norwich team scored 3, Southampton had 3 could have had more, Liverpool 2 and could have had more, Palace and the Mackems were even games where the oppo arguabely had the better chances. You're either taking the p*ss or are p*ssed. Going on what we've watched. Apart from Man city as I've said in which game(s) would you say we've been better organised ? All of the ones where Janmaat has been injured and Dummett and Anita have been the full backs with Tiote and Colback in front of them.
  8. That was Munez. HA!!! I thought about how they'd used that in GOAL !!!
  9. Aye, I've got to hold my hands up as I thought it was a poor signing but he's been outstanding and that goal he scored today was an absolute beaut, reminded me of one Robert scored against Liverpool from almost exactly the same position.
  10. He's just not involved or influencing the game in any shape or form. He had one burst of pace into the box early 2nd half but seemed to delay shooting and the chance was gone, otherwise anonymous. We can't afford any passengers.
  11. Except he played the full 90. Think doza's referring to the game a few weeks ago not first game of the season. I was. Rafa had him on the bench at St Marys.
  12. Except he played a full 90. eh?
  13. He was on the bench at Southampton.
  14. ALWAYS BELIEVE IN YOUR SOUL, KARL DARLOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't think it was a very good penalty mind!!
  15. Is this on Sky Sports 1 or a different channel? Could I watch it on Sky Go? yes,no, yes
  16. The fact that Shakhtar have managed to play 23 games this season tells me the whole story was just an excuse to leave. I'm guessing the 20+ players who have contributed in those 23 games didn't fear for their lives all season. I can imagine there is a play x amount of games and you have to sign him in the loan agreement, Pardew/Carver look at him in training and think he's dogshit so too scared to play him or we'll have him permanently. When Cisse is banned for 7 games, we're on a huge losing run and this guy cant even make the bench there is definitely something wrong. As for the whole "injuries" he's had... Santon was "injured" but went straight into the Inter team and has played nearly 90 minutes in every game since. Knowing Ashley though, he wouldn't be paying this guys wages to do nothing in return - I can imagine Shakhtar are paying his wages. Like I've said, if the Fans Forum have any sense about them they should be asking the following:- 1. Why has he never played for the club despite being fit enough to do so and muddy his boots in the youth games? 2. Who is paying his wages? What loan fee did we pay to acquire him? Ah knaa this post was a year ago, but I liked the bold part, given Shakhtar didn't play a single one of those games in Donetsk, and to this day they still haven't returned. Aye, last nights game was played in Lviv which the commentators said was about 400 miles west of Donetsk.
  17. Played in the Europa League semi final last night for Shaktar Donetsk. Gave away the penalty that Sevilla equalised from.
  18. Don't be daft man. There's no chance it'll be a sell out. Have a look at the stadium view on the box office website, there's only single seats available and looks to be about 200 left in total.
  19. Please expand on this. Genuinely interested. its spot on that statement btw. went to Hillsborough one time mid 80s, went on normal bus service- not supporters coaches, getting off at Sheffield we were put in police vans, and literally herded into a giant pen at the back of the leppings lane end, this was the morning btw maybe 10am, we had done nothing wrong. we were held there with no food no drink no toilets until the gate to the match were opened. sheff utd- 90 promotion game, stopped vans driving into Sheffield and escorted us all back to Durham, despite having tickets and no offence had been commited, other than maybe shouldn't carry people in vans. Was also at that spurs game- 87,got separated from my dad, I watched the game from the top of a fence as there was no room on the terracing. I remember that pen behind the leppings lane end. they kept people herded in there until the supporters club coaches arrived and the turnstiles opened. South Yorks police mid 80's were horrible as were West Midlands.
  20. I once took a flying kick right in the bollocks by a copper outside white hart lane for doing absolutely nothing whatsoever.
  21. Really, as you say most are overseas for tax reasons with Gibraltar the destination of choice for most.
