Newcastle United vs Reading - 17/08/16 @ 7.45pm - No TV

Yet he was on the bench on Saturday and warming up on the touchline. If he's fit enough to be on the bench then he has to be fit to play surely. -

Nope. He couldn't find his red and yellow cards to send a kid off on Friday in the Brighton v Forest Game so the kid stayed on. -
he looks shaky which makes the defence shaky. He had no one on the posts for the corner where we conceded at Fulham. He didn't know whether to stick or twist for Huddersfield's 2nd on Saturday. I don't know why we signed him. That's the managers tactics not the goalkeeper ffs. Is it though? On here in the match thread loads of people said that it was the goalkeepers choice to have men on the post or not.

My own eyes have told me that Sels has been poor.

He's a young lad and needs a proper run in the team. He's showed flashes of brilliance on occasions but mainly through injury hasn't had a chance to get a proper run in the team. Perennial failures like Colback and Anita have had plenty of opportunities in the past, only fair Aarons gets a fair crack of the whip as well. He looks scared of getting hurt imo and lacking in a bit of strength. Was very easily dispossessed and brushed aside on Saturday. -

Any reason? Sels hasn't stood a chance for any of the goals he's let in. His positioning for the 2nd was poor and I can't see what Darlow has done wrong either. -
But he wasn't stretching their defence, he was stopping and falling over at the slightest touch every time he got the ball. Much as he's a dick the one person who would have stretched them is Sissoko.

I've correctly predicted 2 defeats so far, don't think we'll lose this one though i'm not confident of winning it either. I also think we'll struggle at Ashton Gate next Saturday as well. We'll struggle until we have a centre forward who can hold the ball up and score goals. -
He was very poor, but he wasn't the only one.
-
Much as I don't like him, think his control is poor and delivery poor, we massively miss his pace and driving at people. We were predictable and pedestrian today. He needs to start against Reading whether people like it or not.

Gouffran was fit and not on the bench which considering our striking options was strange. Riviere no where near either.

Soon as I find the match online he get's subbed off!

chortle. You won't even be inside the ground to see it so why are you getting your knickers in a twist about it? I'm not. -

someone who only goes to games to get away from the missus. Anyway you carry on sitting on your hands and hopefully those who are going to get behind the team tomorrow don't interrupt your 90 minute snooze too much. Yawn. Don't need organised flag days for a good atmosphere. A couple of bad tackles or poor refereeing decisions coupled with some good attack minded football cranks the atmosphere up all by itself. The atmosphere has been sh*te for years man. Finally something is being done about it. If you want to sit there in silence then that's your prerogative but don't whine on about those who want to go and create a positive atmosphere for the players. It's contrived and cringeworthy but as it sounds like it'll be happening before I'm in the ground I won't see it anyway. -

Then it'll be a pretty boring game won't it. -

Tin Hat firmly on here but I think the whole Flag Day, French Day etc shite is cringeworthy as fuck and the sooner we just get on with the business of winning football matches the better. -
Hopefully we'll already be ahead by the time he comes on (if he does). And if he starts? Or god forbid starts as captain due to a knock for Lascelles?
