  1. They'll fly to Stansted at tea time today and stay in Cheshunt or somewhere nearby. Only takes an hour.
  2. Especially as all trains that weekend are diverting up the durham coast through Hartlepool and sunderland due to work between darlington and durham.
  3. Just seen him in the metrocentre with wife and bairn and in laws. He's not fat in the slightest to be fair and does seem a genuinely canny bloke.

    Paul Dummett

Not sure that's entirely the truth It actually is. He definitely got beat a few times in the first quarter of an hour He didn't.
  5. I'd have had him ahead of Dummett before today, but Dummett did alright defensively tbf. Let's hope he takes some confidence from this. He did but imo it was because Ibe stopped torturing him; a move which I still don't understand. When did Ibe torture him??? Dummett had him in his back pocket and he switched wings to have a go at Janmaat instead.
  6. It's as simple as that for me. Perez and Mitro have their qualities but if you are looking for goals then Cisse is more proven in this squad. As much as I like Perez I think he needed a rest as well.
  7. Yeah, well he hauled him off at half time last week, he started the seaosn with him on the bench so McClaren clearly has some doubts about him for one reason or another. Diving perhaps?
  8. He's left footed isn't he? Yes that was my point, he was using his weaker foot when he could have easily used his left so I think he had a bit of a problem. Aye, thought that was what you'd meant. Definitely looked to have a problem in the last 20 minutes. He was also the reason for their being 5 minutes added time. He was vociferous about it while they had a player down just after the board went up and Marriner pointed and him and his watch and appeared to tell him that the amount of time he'd wasted farting about over his goal kicks was the reason for the 5 minutes. Didn't matter in the end.
  9. Aye but in the 2nd half he was visibly avoiding kicking and Mbemba was taking free kicks whereas in the 1st half he was taking all of the free kicks in our own half even ones on the halfway line.
  10. I'm assuming he was injured again on sunday as he stopped taking the free kicks and was then throwing the ball ridiculous distances rather than kicking it which seemed the sensible option. Darlow in nets on sunday?
  11. Didn't Thauvin got out wide and Perez went up top? Thauvin covered the left back position a couple of times fairly well. Yip. I think Thauvins alright personally.
  12. Dagenham & Redbridge or Whitehawk away.
  13. Thought it was the opposite and we like to attack the Gallowgate 2nd half with it not only being our "home end" but also because of the 6ft slope down to that end of the pitch which comes into play more as the legs get tired. This, we always attack the Leazes end first due to the massive slope in the pitch but teams who win the toss make us change ends.
  14. We kicked off didn't we? Which means Liverpool choose ends. They kicked off like and then had 3 corners inside 60 seconds!!
  15. Needs a bit more consistency mind, 1 good game in 6 isn't enough.
  16. I think he did as well. We didn't play brilliantly today but we grafted our stots off and got the rewards for it. Liverpool were a crock of shit mind.
  17. I thought he was excellent today. Not just on the ball but more so for his organising and shouting, telling other players what to do etc.
  18. What the fuck? These are footballers and you're sitting them down for an hour and giving them speeches? What are we doing? He was best man at my cousins wedding, his speech was shite.
  19. Saints got murdered when they switched to 3 at the back last night with Wanyama in CB. We played 4-4-2 diamond vs. Saints, wouldn't be surprised if we go that route again on Sunday. Depends what the gameplan is. Southampton got hit on the counter while chasing the game so it wasn't only the tactical change which was at fault. Judging us not only on our last two performances but since the start of the season, we definitely need to switch to a more defensive formation and stop the goal haemorrhage. Five at the back is a must. In addition to defending the key to the match will be keeping the ball under pressure. A back five would allow us to stretch the pitch if we can pass the ball in defence. Our CM's will definitely need to take some risk and show movement to break the pressing. That's why I think Wijnaldum or Sissoko should start in midfield despite their lack of defensive abilities. I thought Southampton had taken the lead? Would rather play 4-5-1 and spoil than play 5 at the back as every single time we've tried to play it we've got possed.
