We went into the game today and our fate was in our own hands and we've come out of it in a worse position because at this time we're relying on others. I find it staggering that you can come out with "feeling oddly more optimistic than I was at 14:59" as it's bordering on delusional. Well not quite, seeing as Villa and Wigan have to play each other it's still in our own hands, mathematically. This is the pit of doom known as NO, they will both win.

Well I would say its not certain..... odds are 50/50 right now. Norwich are in free fall, Makems not good and us all on the same points. Wigan 3 behind but on the rise. We are neither down nor up. Either way, we need rid of Pardew, that much I do know.

What eats at me though is 2 years ago the powers that be stated not signing anyone in January as reasonable because that transfer window resulted in falsely inflated prices. We then fail to sign anyone in the summer bar Anita, then scramble around in January at complete odds with the former statement.
