Would've been a ridiculous goal.
-
Not complaining but the first half was incredibly boring aside from the goal.
-
Cillesen; Vidal, Masch, Mathieu, Digne; Busquets, Denis, Rakitic; Arda, Alcacer, Neymar Dat depth. (Andre gomes and Ter Stegen injured as well)
-
Colback is fucking horrible.

Thought putting Fernando on for Ihenacho was an odd move at first but it's quite clear why he did this. They were under pressure and instead of putting a midfielder to drop the team deep he instead moved Fernandinho up top so they could hold on to the ball better and relieve some off the pressure. Also agree on the Rashford comment. Been impressed every time I watch him. Clearly has the potential to be an extremely good player in this league and who knows, maybe one of the best in the world. Always more impressed by him than Martial.

Never a pen imo. Got only ball and no studs.

First time in about 3 years that we're actually playing well as a team and you post that? Stop looking at line up and look at our two last performances which have been convincing wins in difficult fixtures. Result last night isn't fair on the performance. Tite has made us much more cohesive and I think even without Neymar we'd look an ok side for once in about 4 years or so.
-
Some odd results last nights. Got to love that compeitivity though. Two weakest nations picking up draws against the two strongest of recent years. Chile has been really disappointing in these qualifiers apart from beating Brazil in the opening game. Brazil looking strong now all of the susden, 2nd half against Ecuador and first half yesterday was some of the best football I've seen us play in recent years. With Bolivia (home), Venezuela and Peru as well as Argentina at home left this year we have a strong chance of going top of the qualifiers going into 2017, which is something that was looking extremely unlikely just couple of weeks ago. Amazing what a bit of confidence can do. Amazing what getting rid of Dunga can do. Dunga was about three times worse now than his first time around. Thought he would've learned a thing or two, but too stubborn to be a manager.

Think FIFA moved towards the idea of different Federations having it and since '94 Europe has had twice and will have it a 3rd time in Russia. *Also Mexico has hosted it twice only because Colombia was unable to do it in 1986 and Mexico could do it on short notice.
-
Another solid convincing win and against a strong Colombia while Argentina, Chile and Ecuador fails to win their games. 2nd in the group all of the sudden and much more comfortable.
-
We have the 2nd largest Italian, Japanese, Libanese, Syrian population (incl. counting the countries of Italy, Japan etc) that I'm aware of and then also the 3rd largest Romani, Polish and some others. Think Sao Paulo has the largest Italian and Japanese population outside of their respective countries.

Yaya left out of City's CL squad. Love what Pep is doing. Yaya has been shit for a year now.
-
He'll be out the team in a years time and a useful squad player this year. Chin up. Colback being described as useful Colback has shown already that he's not good enough even in this division.
-
and scores a 2nd beauty. 3-0 away in Quito is an impressive result.
-
Brazil about to beat Ecuador away for the first time in 33 years and Gabriel Jesus has won a penalty and scored one himself. Hasn't been the best performance but he's been running his socks off since the first minute.

Read that article earlier and it might be one of the worst things I've read.

Wijnaldum just scored a fantastic goal.

Says the guy who still hasn't recovered.

I dunno like, £35m for Carroll and £20m for Henderson in the market at the time takes some beating imo. £50m for David Luiz is still the single funniest transfer I can think of, he got absolutely ripped to shreds in the World Cup and produced some of the most comical defending I've ever seen (even as a Newcastle fan) - and we watched it all knowing that he was the world's most expensive defender. It was f***ing hilarious. This bit pisses me off, he got ripped to shreds in one game, a game where a whole team was ripped to shreds. For the rest of the World Cup David Luiz was together with Neymar two of the best players in their own positions. If I'm not completely wrong he was considered the best central defender in the World Cup by plenty of newspapers right until the semi-final. I'm not saying he's worth that money, but there's a reason he's gone three times for a very high fee and that is because he's an excellent footballer and defender on his day and managers believe they can be the one to help him from having those lapses in concentrations. That being said, he's not worth that money and PSG did the right thing having two central defenders who are better than him, but he's also not the worst defender in the world etc. That game doesn't count. Bronze match ffs.

What? I'm just calling you out on your bullshit. Bit like saying Oliver Kahn was ripped to shreds in the 2002 World Cup because he had one bad game. I'm not defending the value managers are willing to pay for players, but saying he was ripped to shreds in the World Cup (apart from one game) is a lie.

Sounds a bit like Sissoko. He's got a stupid mentality for a supposed centre-back, his atheltic and technical abilities are great but it's all moot when he plays with a fanny head. Which is also why Sissoko went for £30m. These players have something which managers obviously like.

We don't have many or any, which is why I think we should play the 4-2-4 style we did at the Olympics.

Tite has just picked his starting eleven for tonights qualifier against Ecuador and you just wait for it. Alisson Dalves, Marquinhos, Miranda ©, Marcelo Paulinho, Casemiro, RAugusto Willian GJesus Neymar I knew it was going to be boring, but that midfield.
