  1. Some odd results last nights. Got to love that compeitivity though. Two weakest nations picking up draws against the two strongest of recent years. Chile has been really disappointing in these qualifiers apart from beating Brazil in the opening game. Brazil looking strong now all of the susden, 2nd half against Ecuador and first half yesterday was some of the best football I've seen us play in recent years. With Bolivia (home), Venezuela and Peru as well as Argentina at home left this year we have a strong chance of going top of the qualifiers going into 2017, which is something that was looking extremely unlikely just couple of weeks ago.

    FIFA World Cup

Think FIFA moved towards the idea of different Federations having it and since '94 Europe has had twice and will have it a 3rd time in Russia. *Also Mexico has hosted it twice only because Colombia was unable to do it in 1986 and Mexico could do it on short notice.
  3. Another solid convincing win and against a strong Colombia while Argentina, Chile and Ecuador fails to win their games. 2nd in the group all of the sudden and much more comfortable.
  4. We have the 2nd largest Italian, Japanese, Libanese, Syrian population (incl. counting the countries of Italy, Japan etc) that I'm aware of and then also the 3rd largest Romani, Polish and some others. Think Sao Paulo has the largest Italian and Japanese population outside of their respective countries.
  5. Yaya left out of City's CL squad. Love what Pep is doing. Yaya has been shit for a year now.
  6. He'll be out the team in a years time and a useful squad player this year. Chin up. Colback being described as useful Colback has shown already that he's not good enough even in this division.
  7. and scores a 2nd beauty. 3-0 away in Quito is an impressive result.
  8. Brazil about to beat Ecuador away for the first time in 33 years and Gabriel Jesus has won a penalty and scored one himself. Hasn't been the best performance but he's been running his socks off since the first minute.
  9. Read that article earlier and it might be one of the worst things I've read.
  10. Wijnaldum just scored a fantastic goal.
  11. Says the guy who still hasn't recovered.
  12. I dunno like, £35m for Carroll and £20m for Henderson in the market at the time takes some beating imo. £50m for David Luiz is still the single funniest transfer I can think of, he got absolutely ripped to shreds in the World Cup and produced some of the most comical defending I've ever seen (even as a Newcastle fan) - and we watched it all knowing that he was the world's most expensive defender. It was f***ing hilarious. This bit pisses me off, he got ripped to shreds in one game, a game where a whole team was ripped to shreds. For the rest of the World Cup David Luiz was together with Neymar two of the best players in their own positions. If I'm not completely wrong he was considered the best central defender in the World Cup by plenty of newspapers right until the semi-final. I'm not saying he's worth that money, but there's a reason he's gone three times for a very high fee and that is because he's an excellent footballer and defender on his day and managers believe they can be the one to help him from having those lapses in concentrations. That being said, he's not worth that money and PSG did the right thing having two central defenders who are better than him, but he's also not the worst defender in the world etc. That game doesn't count. Bronze match ffs.

What? I'm just calling you out on your bullshit. Bit like saying Oliver Kahn was ripped to shreds in the 2002 World Cup because he had one bad game. I'm not defending the value managers are willing to pay for players, but saying he was ripped to shreds in the World Cup (apart from one game) is a lie.
  14. Sounds a bit like Sissoko. He's got a stupid mentality for a supposed centre-back, his atheltic and technical abilities are great but it's all moot when he plays with a fanny head. Which is also why Sissoko went for £30m. These players have something which managers obviously like.

  16. We don't have many or any, which is why I think we should play the 4-2-4 style we did at the Olympics.
  17. Tite has just picked his starting eleven for tonights qualifier against Ecuador and you just wait for it. Alisson Dalves, Marquinhos, Miranda ©, Marcelo Paulinho, Casemiro, RAugusto Willian GJesus Neymar I knew it was going to be boring, but that midfield.
  18. Yes but to get from £1 to £1m doesn't require an additional £1m, it requires £999,999 because you already hold £1. Shut up man it's 99,999,900% and nothing else.
  19. Nope. That's an increase of 99999900% according to a calculator.
  20. What? Rictchie, Atsu, Aarons, Gouffran, Perez and Gayle who can all occupy those positions. What, what? Atsu hasn't signed yet. Aarons is dead, Gouffran isn't good enough imo and Perez and Gayle aren't wingers. We probably have 20 other wingers in the reserves and youth teams if you want to be pedantic, I'm talking about quality here to get us promoted straight away. Ritchie is mint. Atsu is signing. All bit confirmed. Gouffran, in my (and many other peoples) opinion, has been one of our better performers this season so far. Up turn in form has a lot to do with his diligence and performances in my opinion. Perez sure isn't a striker or a number 10 in this league, so I can only see him getting games long term as one of the wide 2. Gayle can play there is necessary, and Rafa has already indicated that he sees him capable of playing as a wide forward. So I think we'll see him play there a fair bit when Mitro is back. Aarons is injured, yes, but you can't go out and buy players everytime someone gets injured. Really don't see how we're going to run this league with those as our wide players. One injury to Ritchie and we're truly fucked imo so we'll have to agree to disagree

  22. Can't remember what tournament, but he was absolutely amazing for Ghana in one of them. Thought he'd be the shit at Everton.
  23. £30m is only fantastic if we have time to sign a winger. Right now we only have Ritchie basically.
  24. £34m on another striker... Do they need one? They already have Musa, Vardy & Okazaki! His goalscoring record is good though, albeit in w*** leagues. Different player to all three of them. Only seen him a handful time and he is a very hardworking player, think he fits in perfectly next to Vardy and/or Musa.
  25. Silva played for Portugal in the Euro's, good player. Sporting selling their 3 best in the last week of the window, must really need the money. And Islam sillimani to Leicester from sporting Lisbon to around 30m. Seems a lot when they already have Vardy mahrez and musa Completely different player, so don't really see why it would matter that they have Mahrez, Musa and Vardy?
