Simunic suspended 10 games by FIFA for his Nazi chants. Means he will miss the World Cup. So Croatia without Simunic and Mandzukic for the opener against Brazil.

Happens every game, the goalkeeper usually never makes that mistake. So yes I'd call it a fluke. It's not a fluke. There's an element of fortune to it, of course, but when you're closing down opposition so they a) make a rubbish back pass, and b) rush their consequent clearance, you're very much in the realms of making your own luck. Depends what defines fluke, I'd say something that wouldn't happen 99 times out of 100 is a fluke. But yes, I get your point.

Maybe he is one after all

"Do you like one goal victories? Do you like unnecessarily edgy finishes to games? Do you want a gobshite manager to complement your (generally) insufferable fans? Maybe Pardew is the man for you!"

We should start a Pardew for Spurs campaign. They can take Ashley with them.

He's really not compared to you though.

People are way to blind though, there's some on here who will defend Pardew to death and then criticize other managers who clearly have more to them than him. I don't think he's done a great job, but you don't give a manager that much money and give him 4months. They're only five points behind City, and I'd say only getting Soldado to work from competing for top four. They're ahead of Man U, I get that his football hasn't been working, but I'm pretty sure he's had the most change in a side this season. Chadli, Lamela, Soldado, Paulinho, Capoue all need time to settle. Had it not been for Eriksson, Paulinho and Krul they'd be on a safe 30p already. Like I said, I understand the decision in a way, I just wouldn't have done the same.

This and Tooj

Possible that they deleted other incorrect predictions. And is there still same country separation in this round? Add that to not being with the same team as your previous group and there are only a certain number of possibilities anyway. Edit: Looks like a maximum of six opponents per team. So still pretty impressive if it's a guess. No way they guessed. Last time around it was the same. I don't think there was that many possible outcomes, so to type them out wouldn't have taken long and therefore deleting the few that were wrong took probably no more than 2 minutes. What people do for some attention nowadays, huh.

Good shout. Still surprised at what I consider a hasty decision though. You don't revamp your squad after selling your best player and not allow for a transition period. I've defended AVB in the past and thought he'd build a successful team after Bale. Unfortunately he hasn't done anything right, I know they need a time to settle, but his usage of Paulinho is for starters horrible, he's tried him as either a DM or as AM, not used him in his best position which is as a box-to-box player. He hasn't given Lamela any chances and Soldado has been terrible under his set up. I'm not saying it was the right decision to sack him already, but I at the same time I understand why they did it.

If Messi is healthy I think Barcelona will win pretty easily, but if he's out this will be a really tight game. Still think Barcelona has enough at the moment, but it all depends on whether Neymar can keep form or if he'll be inconsistent next year.

Don't think Sissoko makes better decisions in areas that count. If anything Sissoko always makes the wrong decision in the final third. Like when he won the header against Evra and set Cabaye up for his goal against Man Utd? Or when he scored against WBA the week before? I'm not saying he should be relied on in the final third but he can be useful. Should be his job to pressure the oppositions midfield, win the ball, surge forward and deliver the ball to players who can put it to better use. Obviously I was exaggerating with 'always', but you took two examples that I don't find particularly convincing. One he ended up getting a bit of luck as Evra headed it onto him (he didn't win the header) and then passing it back across is a must in those situations. He also got a very nice goal against WBA but how many shots like that has he taken on target since he arrived at the club? I'd love for him to use the speed he has to go past defenders, he usually just stops at times, he needs to be more aggressive when he has the ball in terms of challenging fullbacks, I know that's not what he's ever been known for, but he's playing wide now so he has to learn that.

Madrid have never played better than they did with him as boss. Have him over Mourinho any day of the week. Well said, really enjoyed his Real Madrid side. Actually, I've really enjoyed every side I've seen him manage.

Coloccinis San Lorenzo champions of the Torneo Inicial even after drawing the last three games.
-
Great end to the Torneo Inicial in Argentina. Top 4 teams playing each other and all are capable of winning it. (I think?)

Yes Must be the best penalty goalkeeper in the world. Would love for Brazil to bring him to the World Cup just because of his penalty saving ability.
-
Diego Costa reaches 17goal, same amount as CRonaldo. Impressive.
-
Did Diego Alves save another penalty today?
-
Have to agree. Don't see where we were brilliant in the first half.

Exactly this Same.

Ok fuck happened at WHL? Was out eating lunch, came back to see this. Jesus. Were Liverpool that dominant?
