He's really not though Kanji. I know a person who was skiing and injured her knee up there and he said they had to have surgery because it was a meniscus tear or whatever. She went back to Brazil for a second opinion where it showed it was nowhere near what he was suggesting. This is a very common criticism apparently of him, with second opinions being the complete opposite of what he thinks. Remember that, always important to get a second opinion. Although in this case the problem has already been identified, and in the end most surgeons know what they are doing. Don't see the point in flying Raylor over there. He's considered one of the premier knee surgeons in the world for athletes. Good enough for Usain Bolt, multiple Olympians, multiple pro teams, and Manchester United, but let's slag him off and question the club about this too because what else would we do. Know all about that, know a fair bit about Steadman tbf. Wasn't slagging the club off ffs. I just think that in the end there are a lot of surgeons out there who get less exposure than him that are equally good. He's a big name in orthopaedics and credits to him for being one of the best. But I wasn't really slagging the club, just calling the man himself old and greedy, am I entitled to that opinion?

It might look good on paper, but there's few goals, no threat from set pieces, Cheick Tiote, and a lack of physicality in CD. We're gonna have to accept that the current squad is a work in progress in need of investment and replacement. I don't really agree with the first part, I think that team does have goal in it. Cisse, Gouff and Ben Arfa all score goals and Siss and Cabaye can ship in a few as well. I do think we need to strengthen and from what has been seen I do agree that MYM and Colo can't play together.
  3. I've seen plenty of Rafa Benitez to know he will be hounded out by our fans at the first sign of a below par season once they realise his football isn't much better than Pardew's. I reckon Pardew's "not much better" football would be much more popular if it resulted in winning some games every now and then like. Plenty of people suggesting they knew last season, when we were "winning some ganes every now and then" that our football was dire and Pardew was a fraud. Granted, I don't remember there being many actually voicing that opinion. To be fair just went through my posts and both me and Mick especially strongly disagreed with Pardew. Got ridiculed back then but there were some who were voicing their concern.
  4. I can't believe the nicest dude in the world got mad. I noticed that too. I don't think I've every read Kanji get fired up about anybody on here. He's the most affable dude on the planet. I was thinking the same That s*** made me feel bad.

I just know he worked on many of our players and many famous athletes? So I assumed he was good? Perhaps your friend's injury had more time to heal or the swelling was less and that's what she needed? Also, who cares? I like the idea that the surgeon who saved Shearer will hopefully sort out the free kick assassin now? Steadman's still a greedy old man
  7. Can we leave the Alan Pardew debate out of one thread. I'm actually enjoying watching football. I don't think it's irrelevant when we've played Benfica and looked better suited to combat them than Chelsea on this evidence (first game at the very least) and when people are advocating Rafa as a Pardew replacement because they are sick of his style of football.. I think most realize that Rafa won't bring any attractive to the table, I just think most think that he's a far better choice than Pardew and more realistic than others at the moment.
  8. Classic Chelsea You guys are so angry when it comes to alcohol and football. All of you

This is frustrating me too The quality of the long ball doesn't f***ing matter! People are instinctively trying to break it down into 'hopeful' and 'targetted'....Broadly agree that the where raw stats are concerned the intention isn't so important. Sides like Spurs play a lot more long ball than people realise but most of those are bourne from postive posession and 'choices' at key moments of play. Ours generally are more of the 'hopeful' variety is the majority feeling. This ties in with Pards style of play which is the maj gripe...WBA I'd say are pretty much a long ball team as are Norwich but they do enough of the other stuff so that it doesn't look so bad or desperate - style wise. I think it's that long ball that you are talking about which pisses us fans off. It's the long ball to Cisse who will never ever win a header against a stronger central defender. It's not hard to see that our long balls are just like you said hopeful passing. ...and the main reason for that and something we've discussed for 2 yrs is Pards refusal to continue with a 433 (so someone can drop off and come short to recycle play). It's all a mess at the moment, and being pretty sure he's here come august I hope a fresh start will help him.
  10. It's not... but people tend to prefer defensive tacticians when they're able to get their team to defend successfully. Defensively minded teams that concede 6 goals aren't really in style right now. Why bother man?

  13. Benfica Dive. They're the biggest cheats in the world, think I might actually cheer for Chelsea if they keep on with their theatrics.
  14. Before Arsenal and City and Real and all other teams Imagine him going back to Everton man Although tbf, imagine Mike being a big fan and offering half of his wealth
  15. PS: what do you think about Dede transferring to Cruzeiro rather than go abroad? I like it, he had a lot of injury troubles last season so I think he needs another season to play football again. I think he did the right decision and I think Scolari is going to pick between him and Rever come the World Cup. Depending on who's the better in the Brazilian league he will choose. Luiz, Dante and Silva have cemented their spot and rightly so.

Depends how we played, i dont think i can watch another 1-0 v Norwich again, or a last gasp winner against the BOTTOM side of the league or throwing away 3 points against ANOTHER gash team who everyone else in the league dished them a thrashing TBF it's a fickle game so many would accept, I would probably be more happy than this time around but I would depending on performance still question us. I hope he does a Moyes with Everton but I have the absolute rights to have my doubts about it happening.

Don't see how people can argue this and also using stats that are completely irrelevant to the fact that we are absolute wank. Can the decrease in longballs also be due to a decrease in ball possession? I'm asking because need facts for this. While you're at it HF I'd like to see if you could to a graph on why considering we haven't been shit we are sitting on 41p with one of the better squads in the league. And Unbelievable, your name also suits you perfectly at the moment. You're able to not call us a hoofing team but at the same time criticize most of our players and refuse to see that our manager is one of the bigger problems for our attacking not working. You say Cisse isn't good enough to lead the line, while being absolute blind to the fact that he has to go pick the ball at the corner flag because there's no cohesion or tactic to our game and there's no support to him. Well tbf all your reliability disappeared when you suggested the Dutch league wasn't worse than the Portuguese so I'm sorry for even getting into a discussion with you now.
  18. Amazing what crap coaching can do. Aye, but then you see Cris next to him and you're like ''WHAT?!?!''. Cris the man who got raped by Shola and not Bramble. Cris turned himself into a decent defender though. He was a decent defender back then too tbf. Just had a nightmare against us.

He's saying the stats show that Pards isn't as bad as we make out he is. At the same time he does also say it stats are used to compromise your own ideas. In the end anyone who has seen us play this season know we've been absolute garbage for 80% of the season. That post is crazy, are you forced to come on here? It's Foluwashola man, what'd you expect?
  20. CL football would help us attract the best and be better in the longterm

People popping up to say stuff like this makes it for me. I did it last time too, I dont think I can stop. I'd suggest you start another discussion in here so people can change towards that topic, because as of now there's nothing else to do other than repeating the same arguments the same way Pardew repeats the same mistakes.

Happy Face, tbh it's you who is in the wrong here man. You're trying to see things through both sides and points of views but for me it's clear you don't know football. Most on here are very informed and knowledgeable from watching football from leagues all over the world who have seen other teams play 100 times and therefore have built there opinion on other than Newcastle. I've in my lifetime very rarely seen football played in such a cowardly manner as under Pardew. I have a family who we all grew up with football, I don't know how many times I have had to sit through Newcastle games even last season with criticism for Pardew. It was obvious last season and it's even more obvious this season. He can't adapt, he can't change and he can't manage a football club at the highest level. I'll be happy to be proved wrong, but that is dependant on him learning from mistakes which from his interviews is clear he doesn't see them as that. I think most on here have come to realize this and it's not weird we want the best for the club. To say we have been massively unlucky this season is also proof of being excessively lucky last season. This season we have had a fair few lucky moments in our favour too, Figueroa being harshly sent off, Evertons goal not counting while we've also had some unlucky and terrible refereeing calls. In the end we have a team good enough not to depend on decisions and something Pardew has not done. No one expects someone new to come in and make Mike Williamson play like a classy CB, but you look around the league and world and you have a lot of managers adapting players to their tactics and helping them improve while we have a manager who has stagnated players at our disposal. Last week* I had this discussion with Inochi and he refused to see it the same way as me and I respect that, but before Ben Arfa came into the side last season we won very few points, had we not had a great start to the season or had Benny come into the team to save us we'd probably have finished around the same. Credit where it's due though Pardew did get the team to play efficiently and that's why I've many times compared him to someone like Sven Göran Eriksson. Both have this inability to makes changes for the good, to see their blatant mistakes and try to correct them. If Sven managed us I'd see the exact same problem. It's a conservative style of football with no back up plan if it fails. Luckily for Sven his style worked for him many times, but it was very obvious it didn't always work. I'll never forget the 2002 world cup quarterfinal and I'll be forever thankful for England having Sven as a manager. Brazil up 2-1 with a man less with 20-25 minutes to go absolutely dominated the ball, England had no idea what to do when they were in advantage player wise. Instead of looking for a win they were left confused when a player like Roberto Carlos stole the ball, ran the length of the pitch, stopped, looked back and passed it back around to the defenders in a way not to lose the ball. I saw the same with him against other teams at World Cups. Pardew falls into the same category for me but obviously at a lesser level. With that said many managers can play defensively and still be good managers, look at Ancelotti, Capello, Tite etc. More boring styles of play are hard to find but they have a system in place and believe in their philosophy. You also have to Loco ones like Tele Santana, Bielsa etc. Drawing a conclusion from this, it's beyond me how anyone can be surprised that 95% (w/e that number came from) are completely against the bloke, but I can promise you HF that we will all be hoping he changes over the summer if his still here. tl;dr... Wat? It's the internet man you can say what you want. Especially if it's on N-O and relates to Alan Pardew, Longest post I ever wrote probably lost my wording somewhere there, it's irrelevant in any case as it's been posted time and time before. I feel real sorry for HTT, some people just have a go at him even if he contributes a lot more to discussion than themselves.
