Because he's massively overrated and actually did worse at Wigan than Steve Bruce? With a lot less resources and his point total was nowhere near much worse than Bruce, if anything he did much better than Steve Bruce. Basically had one big transfer failure during his time there and that was Bolelli, but being a bad team you basically have to take some risks to get the best players and his gamble didn't pay out. He's nowhere near massively overrated. Probably the best we can get realistically if we want good football. Him or Rafa are the two best realistic managers.

Has the leagues worst squad, plays good football and has just won the FA Cup with a shit side. I think that's why many rate him. Did well at Swansea too from what I can remember.

Of course they do, but if they commit to the same mistakes game after game what more can they learn if they're as stubborn as he seems to be?

    La Liga 14/15

Completely forgot about asking that earlier VI, thanks for the information. Really interesting. Have found it a weird one to see Levante up there the last two seasons..
  6. Pata disappeared after those bets I see.

What's up with the topic title on VI's posts? Says Re: SAFC appoint fascist... and so on. Was confused earlier when it said newest post was from that topic but couldn't find it.
  8. Nope. I'd do it too. Lukaku is after this season worth £20m in my opinion. Still a big big risk.
  9. Well he will end up running his contract out then because there is noway in hell anyone is paying even 20m for him. Unless they are extremely stupid anyway. Eh? You just posted in the other thread about players improving yet you are unable to see past Lukaku being able to improve? 20 year old beast who scored 17 goals in the league. If Liverpool paid £35m for Carroll there's definitely someone willing to pay £20-25m for him if he was available at that price. I did say unless they are extremely stupid tbf.... Liverpool were extremely stupid.

Is Dawson even good? Every time I've seen him he's been no more than average. I have liked Caulker on the other hand but he's not good enough to be a starting central defender for a title challenging team just yet in my opinion.

Rafeal is a great player, its time to stop the fixed opinions and realise players can improve. ( not aimed at you btw just a sweeping statement) Spurs are a lot more than 2 players away from a title challenge, you don't go from 5th to 1st with 2 players. Depends if those two players are Thiago Silva and Messi

Left-back and central defender is where they really need to strenghten. Dempsey/Holtby/Sigurdsson can do a job behind the striker. It's a shame for them that Adebayor doesn't care too much, because on his day he can be unstoppable.
  14. Think someone above said it right though A for Effort, C for result or whatever you're going to call it. Been working his ass off every single match and has been unlucky so many times. That must take a toll psychologically.
  15. Should never have missed out on the title to a side that were unbeaten throughout the whole season and, once again this season, have proved to be a class act?? OK. The unbeaten statistic is a misnomer, Juve had 15 draws last season. It was Milan's to lose at numerous points of the season, and they did. Allegri has had the best squad to work with for 2 of his three seasons with Milan. One league win is definitely not good enough for what he has to work with, and there is no wonder why they're on the decline. Can definitely see them missing out on CL next season if he's still here.
  16. Not even Europa League in my opinion. He's a midtable manager at most. Hyperbole again? ? Nope, that's where he belongs. You might not agree, but I saw a lot of his Milan that were champions and they weren't by any means a good team side. They were just like us last season highly dependable on individual brilliance.

  18. Leonardo came out earlier saying that he went to him saying he wants to go to Real Madrid, so you're definitely right there Sewelly.
  19. Been absolutely horrible at times. Also they have that Juan guy at the back, can't bode well when you have a player who was terrible for Brazils Olympic team in your side.
  20. Sorry for even getting into a discussion. A lot of people think Mancini is a terrible manager and he won the PL with City. Allegri had whether it was first, second, third, fifth, 50th or so a larger squad and budget than any other manager in that league. So while I apologize for using a hyperbole and calling him a terrible manager, I know he's not a good manager or that he has had an ordinary side to work with.
  21. add Robinho and Cassano (half a season) to that striking force and it was the best in the Serie A by a mile.
