Oh, so you have not seen Cavani play... he is a much more rounded player that the 2 you mentioned previously... How anyone can say that about Cavani is beyond me.

Right now i would take a PL midfielder if we are after experience. Mulumbu? That Chile one? Bound to be a few others for reasonable prices who would do Tiotes job without 48 cards a season. I'd take a look at Roger Espinoza from Wigan. He's not a defensive midfielder though.

Watched the first half since I'm in Rio and my cousin is a huge Fluminense fan (before switching to the Corinthians game) and I got to say that Fluminense didn't look good at all. They seemed to lack a midfield and their central defenders looekd uncapable to deal with the Olimpia striker.

Read that post by Skärare, and thought of posting the exact same. Especially as the ukranian clubs might pay a bit over the value for South American players but their ambition is quite clear and they succeed in then selling them for more while Monaco, PSG buys above value and probably won't care if they're sold for half that price in two-three years time.

Groo, I wonder what happens if they win the League Cup next season and finishes above you...

3 of the 4 players he mentioned are already there Sorry it might seem nice on paper, but i'm not convinced every year people say the same things about Liverpool and every year they fail to deliver. It's the biggest myth ever. We were never going to do "anything" last year, because of the travesty of travel dead-line day. Few people predicted relegation for us after the first month This will be the first year in 4 seasons, that our manager has had a second season, and I suspect that's why business is getting done early. And yep, we indeed did finish 7th, but we didn't have Coutinho and Sturridge for half of the season. We lost 2 in last 16 with them How happy are you and Mike about Coutinho and Sturridge? They've been doing extremely well for Liverpool no? Seem to click better than with Suarez.

Last season everyone was laughing at how bad their team was and how much better we'd do. Look at where we are now.

Not seen much of him but seems like an interesting player. Coutinho, Iago, Sturridge + Suarez Seems like they're building heck of a team there.

Same guy has made another £1k profit today...
-
My friend just won £4k on a large tennis accy. (Un)fortunately for him that only means he's back to +- 0. £4k. God damn it, I'm fucking happy when I win £5...
-
I'd have Carroll back in a second now, he clearly wants to go back rejecting the West Ham offer. I think he'd do anything to become a hero here. Make a £12m offer and get him back. Add Remy and a CB to that and we're done for the summer early.
-
I like him personally, usually good positionally and a great organiser as well as having the usual traits you would expect. Not 12m good like talked about but i do like him. Aye, but he smashes every single ball into a goalkick for the other team. He's almost as bad of a footballer as I'd imagine Mike (the poster) would be. Seems good defensively though

It's dreamy but I like the prospect of Neymar & Messi v Suarez & CRonaldo. 3 of the worlds best and a Brazilian who hopefully can be as good as the others if not better than the portuguese and uruguayan one. Is Neymar a t***? There's a beautiful symmetry to the whole thing if he's an alright lad. On the field he is, but nothing like Suarez. More that he loves to humiliate the opposition and dive a fair bit. However, he's an extremely humble guy off the pitch if you only listen to him and don't look at him and his cuntish hairstyle. He's very mature for his age off the pitch and comes across as a genuine guy in interviews. As I said though, on the pitch he can be an extreme c*** but never in a malicious way like Suarez biting I'm always enlightened to hear every single Brazilian footballer/person is such a pillar of society and all-round good egg, keep the descriptions coming. Yeah, because that is exactly the way I've described players like Deco, Ronaldinho, Adriano (the fat one), Luis Fabiano, Dani Alves, Marcelo, Pepe and many others. And also what society do you live in if players that come across as c***s in their professional life are considered pillar of society? Well done IP. Shame on you. Sorry, I thought I'd noticed a trend as I haven't seen any of those character assassinations. If I can call Sting a c*** then you should be capable of similar, that's all I was saying. If you've called a few Brazilians t***s then fair enough, soz. I've learned not to post when it comes down to Brazilian on here, but f***ing loki asked me a question and I just answered it in the best possible way. Bit harsh, i only asked a question All of this was your fault. Not harsh at all.

Could be the super giggs but still. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/403187/Monaco-to-rival-Liverpool-and-Tottenham-with-10m-bid-for-Newcastle-star-Hatem-Ben-Arfa?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+daily-express-sport-news+%28Daily+Express+%3A%3A+Sport+Feed%29 £10m? Right.

He'd have to double his weight man, not even you could expect that much from him. Although I can see him winning everything with Barcelona within a year or two (thanks to Messi) and then going back to being Brazil and losing himself in the mountains of cocaine. If we get a Ronaldinho kind of deal from him, where we win stuff and still earn back our transfer free when he starts not giving a f***, I'll be happy. I just hope he doesn't turn into another Robinho. Robinho until 2008 or so was absolutely amazing player. Just been downhill from there though. I hope Neymar has the ambition to become the worlds best, not like he will as long as Messi is alive, but I hope he has that ambition to push himself for the better and hopefully emulate the professionalism of Messi on the field.

It's the subtle message to not get banned. Ask Mike, he's taught me that. Also it's quite pathetic that you're actually putting effort into your avatar description. Back to the topic. VI, are you guys pursuing any central defenders or do you expect to play Song/Mascherano there with Pique for another season. That thought is just We are looking to buy one CB. Just one though... How's the situation with Puyol? I don't think you'd need more than one CB, although it probably would have to be a world class one. Puyol/Abidal/Pique + new one add Javier and Song to that and you're settled there for another season or two at least. Abidal's getting released, Puyol's fitness is way too suspect nowadays (even though his performances are still top drawer when he's fit). I agree that a world class CB to go alongside Piqué should be enough with Mascherano, Puyol and Bartra in the mix... if we aren't unlucky with injuries. Bartra needs to be loaned out, fair enough I didn't watch much of Barcelona this season, basically caught only 5-6 games in the La Liga but he looks so inexperienced and not calm at all at times. How did he look over the course of the whole season?

We're liable not to be there but http://cdn.worldcupblog.org/www.worldcupblog.org/files/2009/12/soc_a_ghiggia01_576.jpg Except this time around it will be Argentina or Spain not Uruguay. Can't see us winning either tbf, anything to get over that quarter-final hurdle will do for me this time. As long as we don't embarrass ourselves.

Wouldn't he just be on the bench? Depends on who they bring in to replace Götze and Lewandowski. Now,I don't expect a 18 year old from Liga Adelante to start for them, but he could get more game time than he could do here (Dortmund's squad depth isn't too good), in a very competitive environment with a team that plays a very vibrant brand of football. Plus German discipline and all that. By that logic wouldn't it be better to loan him out to a German club that would play him more? With the looks of signing Bernard, Eriksen and De Bruyne it would seem like a terrible career move for him no? It would do him the world of good to go to a place where he isn't an immediate starter though. The problem with Barça B this season, for example, is that he's so much above everybody else in the squad and league, than he can easily indulge in the weaknesses of his game without feeling threatened. How about Porto? With Rodriguez leaving? If he's doing that well, as Porto you would definitely want to have a look at him. Problem is probably that a team like Porto would want a future buy possibility as it seems pointless to help develop a player and possibly get nothing in return.
