  1. 10th anniversary of Marc Vivien Foe's death I think. What didn't he die in the Confederations Cup? Must've been like June/July?

Country that shows the most games gets to name the sport. Class.
  3. Imo it's a little too unbalanced with Alves and Alba, that's why I think it worked so well when Abidal was left-back and Alves on the right. I agree with that which is why i was confused with the Alba signing, i would have bought Felipe Luis from Atletico myself. Euw, Filipe Luis isn't very good. Maybe someone like Sakho could work better, who has played left-back but is naturally a central defender.
  4. I'm sorry but I've rarely found something as laughable as this. if you said his main problem was his defensive abilities and they should replace him because of age and the fact that Alba goes forward as much then I'd agree. Tell me how many fullbacks you'll find who in the last two seasons have had 30 assists. (I apologize if you by end product mean only goal scoring, but he's a right back ffs)
  5. Who wouldn't? It's a World Cup quarter-final, calling him a c*** based on that is ridiculous. Calling him a c*** because he's a c*** is another matter. Don't agree with this at all, it would never enter my mind to save a ball with my hand. I'm not a professional sportsman like, but still. Well either you're not even an amateur football player, or you're just not a very good teammate. If something I've learned from playing is that you do whatever it takes to stop a goalscoring opportunity. If you have to hack someone down when he's about to just put the ball in the back of the net you do it. Mind I don't play as a defender and never been in that situation. I actually praise Suarez for doing it, was one of the most intelligent football plays ever. you must admire ole solskjaer then. If it was Shearer/Andy Cole/Cisse/Carroll running the length of the pitch to do it I wouldn't complain.
  6. Be brilliant if FA saw some sense and banned Pardew from ever managing again
  7. He continues playing like this and he won't be for long. Aye he's class i have been banging the Gundogan drum since last season he's f*cking everywhere yet has fantastic vision and so much agility on the ball. Germany can f*ck off though, their C team could probably beat us If their national side did worse against Italy than you lot I don't see how their C-team would beat you guys. Let's be realistic for a second here even after these two games. A part of Dortmunds core is non-german while the best player for Bayern the other day were non-german. And Schweinsteiger is a better player and Khedira is a must for the national team defensively. Also, you have been beating Gundogans drum since last year? How about the year before? Were you beating his drum then too?
  8. Where did this rage come from
  9. That Villa game man, he saved us. Was just the perfect game for Pards that. Two very good goals, and then let Villa get at us and still win thanks to Krul

I can understand people saying he has to do whatever it takes to win, but that's not the point of sport IMO. If it goes too much towards that then it's a sad reflection on the game. I realise I am being idealistic here. You are, and fair enough for pointing it out and also, sports is all about winning

  13. He did what anyone else would do in that situation against Ghana, with that said, he's an absolute cunt.

    Other clubs' transfers

Dortmund could easily go for one of Bayerns strikers if Bayern get Lewandowski or maybe loan someone like Lukaku. I think they should definitely get the money as I don't believe releasing him on a free will help them. They will with or without him still be the second best team in Germany.
  15. c*** continues to be a c*** shocker. Wormy man
  16. Great thing about Dortmund is that it's not just all out attack, but it's such an entertaining way to do it. This Barcelona team of the last few years have also been all out attack, but nowhere near as fun to watch as this current Dortmund side IMO. While Barcelona are content with keeping the ball and wait for the perfect time for the killer ball, Dortmund just go for it straight away, with loads of players making runs as soon as they get the ball. Barcelona is more "we'll keep the ball and make it difficult for you", while Dortmund have been more "f*** it, we might lose it, but we'll win back soon enough anyway". Not saying either is "better", but I prefer watching Dortmund more than I did watching Barcelona when they were at their best. Although Barcelona at his best would annihilate this Dortmund side tbf. But I do agree it's an entertaining team and like you said earlier, I'm very impressed with Gundogan this season. Such a good player.
  17. David28. Told you Mourinho was no genius
  18. You make it sound like Mourinho and Heynckes are some sort of geniuses.
  19. Does bans like this count towards that?
  20. Definitely, was just taking the piss I love Messi, but I said this back in January, really changing attitude. Comparable to Justin Bieber
  21. I don't agree, I don't see how biting someone can be worse than what Aguero did tbf. It's pathetic and that alone maybe deserves 10 games, but you can't tell me that biting someone in the arm is worse than actually trying to deliberately break someone, can you? As I said, there is a problem with consistency. But I can't see anyone can argue that 10 games for biting someone is too harsh. Biting is so far removed from normal football behaviour that IMO it's uniquely disgusting and needs to be dealt with extremely harshly. Same with racism. There are lots of bad tackles but they are not the same. Don't agree and your second sentence is exactly why. The only reason the ban was given this harsh is because it's out of the norm in football. How is biting someone worse than punching somone? (Barton a la Pedersen) How is biting worse than what McCallum (spelling) tackle? How is biting someone worse than gathering force to stamp someone laying down? (Aguero) A bite like that won't make Ivanovic miss 10 games, while a tackle can make someone miss a whole season but is only dealt with a 3 game suspension? This is purely the FA wanting to make headlines and distract from the fact it's a horrible federation. I can't really be bothered with a proper response, there's no getting away from the fact he deserves at least 10 games for this. It's absolutely disgusting FFS. The fact a tackle can make people miss a season is irrelevant, that's not the point. Tackles are a part of football. Biting isn't a part of normal human behaviour, never mind sport. You missed what Aguero did? Because saying that is part of football is absolutely ridiculous. If someone flashed his dick out and pee'd in the middle of the pitch should he be rewarded 10 games for it not being normal? Shouldn't spitting be rewarded 10 games too then as it isn't normal? Purely asking, this is a forum so I'd like to see other than my point of view. Well you can't say it like that if you haven't experienced, but I might agree that the football is turning to sensitive towards this 'racism campaign'. I don't know, but I always ask myself if insulting someones colour/religion is worse than insulting someones family or so, because that happens all the time on the pitch. It is worse, yes. Not trying to be a smart ass, I'm actually curious, why is it worse? (genuine question)
