Or this is random conjecture and the retirement of Alex Ferguson will have absolutely no effect on the management situation at Newcastle United. Don't be depressed. We're talking about Llambais here. He appointed Kinnear and Pardew. Fuck knows what's behind his reasoning.
-
This Fergie retirement coming at the worst possible time. Our thick owners will be using his early years as the perfect excuse to keep him. Then there's Moyes hitting the headlines. His own early years of challenging for Europe then a relegation battle. So fuckin depressing.

No wonder Stoke fans want rid of Pullis. I've only started realising how absolute shite they are when ive been wanting them to win.
-
The standard here is fuckin horrendous. Jesus Christ man!

I was quite happy with Benfica at home tbh. Thought that was the best way to progress and not get picked off by them. That said, its the only game in the past few months I think he's done the right thing.

Exactly. Deja Vu from last season. Every Puma one has been shit tbh. So cheap. Hate when the badge isn't embroided onto the shirt, but instead is just a patch with the badge on sown on. -

All shit. Not bought one since the last Adidas one. Its no wonder our commercial revenue is shit when we're proding this kind of shit for people to buy. -
West Brom and Swansea have nothing to play for. Look how bad West Brom were last week before we tried to sit back. If Villa are safe, you really think they're going to go to Wigan on the last day and win? They might be 'worse than us', but they're playing far better than us. The cowardly holding on for a point at West Brom could come back to haunt us.

It all of a sudden feels like the relegation season. Where you're looking at every fixture and thinking the worst. I remember feeling absolutely knackered and drained for the last month of the season, then almost a weird sense of relief at relegation as it was over. I really think we can go down now looking at Wigan's fixtures, especially if Villa can get themselves safe before last day. They could easily beat WBA, Swansea and Villa.

To be fair, it looks better before February because of the first couple months of the season, which were average. Between October and mid-Jan was utterly horrendous.
-
None of them are fit enough anyway. It's hardly a wonder when they don't go in for training until the Monday after a game, and thats for a 'light session' before the real work starts on Tuesday. I do more training than that ffs, and work full time!

Carver has taken control of one game for us and we won it 3-0, I'd rather take a chance on him than Pardew against Arsenal if we need points. Blackburn were terrible that day mind and we still had top players.

Because im bored, seek, and sad, I've just ranked each performance this season either Excellent, Good, Average, Bad or Disgusting. This is what it came out as: Excellent (1) - Chelsea (h) Good (3) - Bordeaux (h), Sunderland (a), Metalist (a) Average (14) - Tottenham (h), Chelsea (a), Everton (a), Norwich (h), Liverpool (a), Wigan (h), Man Utd (a), Aston Villa (a), Tottenham (a), Southampton (h), Anji (a), Anji (h), Benfica (a), Benfica (h) Bad (27) - Atromitos (a), Atromitos (h), Aston Villa (h), Maritimo (a), Man Utd LC (a), Reading (a), Man Utd (h), Brugge (h), West Brom (h), Brugge (a), West Ham (h), Swansea (h), Maritimo (h), Stoke (a), Bordeaux (a), Fulham (a), Man City (h), QPR (h), Everton (h), Norwich (a), Reading (h), Metalist (h), Swansea (a), Stoke (h), Wigan (a), Fulham (h), West Brom (a) Disgusting (7) - Southampton (a), Arsenal (a), Brighton (a), Man City (a), Sunderland (h), Liverpool (h) Feel free to agree or disagree, but imo we've been shit in 34 of our games this season. So the idiots who keep claiming its knee jerk or fickle to want Pardew out can fuck off!
-
The thing is, we've waited too long. Sacking him now will force us to bring someone in who is either not good enough long term, or who accepts they're only going to be around for 3 games. Leaving Carver, Stone and Beardsley in charge would also be disastrous. They're part of the problem. I want the cunt gone as much as the next person, but Llambais has left us in a no win situation.

Good thread. Straight pole which would hopefully get some attention.

We'd probably be in League 2 still with Kinnear in charge if he hadn't had a heart attack tbh. Pardew will be here next season.

So did he seriously complain about not having enough big men in the box for set pieces? Well in that case why float them up in the air you utter imbecile? How about varying with a few short ones? Cut one back to someone outside the box and work something from there. Honestly this is the most basic stuff, it's unbelievable he's coming out with this crap. Think they tried that at the Benfica game. Was it not flung out to Haidara on the edge of the box for a failed volley. haha

Can't believe he's being compared to Ferguson in his early Man Utd years. You could do the same with any shit manager. We could appoint Sammy Lee and use the same argument. 'Fergie had a few shit seasons once'. And the reason people weren't getting on Bobby's back because you could see some progression. You could see what he was trying to do. It's the same with Lambert at Villa in my opinion. They're not doing well, but you can see what he's trying to do. You can see it will most likely get better. Here at Newcastle, its like the Souness second season. You can see the manager doesn't have a clue. Stability is all very well, but theres no point sticking by the wrong man. As for the 'we couldn't get anyone better' argument. How about every other Premier League manager being better apart from the unproven Di Canio. Are we really suggesting that as a club we don't have the attraction that every other club has? Southampton seemed to do a decent job of getting a new manager in. Just because you can't think of one off the top of head with your limited brain power, doesn't mean there aren't better managers out there.
-
Just read his set pieces comments on twitter. Unbelievable! He sounds like someone managing a Sunday league team, not a manager who has full time players training all week and has time to work on them. The problem isn't 'not enough big men'. It's the poor deliveries, but most of all the terrible movement in the box. It's awful. That should be worked on on the training ground. Its one of the basic jobs of a manager to sort set piece routines. The fact this fraud can't even see this says it all. His Sunderland comments are pathetic too. About all the times we've had it over them now its their turn or something. No Alan. Thats 5 derbies now and only 1 win. Don't pretend you've had some kind of dominance over them. You haven't.

Don't talk fuckin shite!
-
Embarrassing day from start to finish. Some of the dregs of humanity that follow both clubs man! Whether its folk punching police horses or folk singing about wishing people dead, hugely embarrassing. The less said about Pardew and the actual game the better though.

Look at the first team players Liverpool have sold over the years. Probably more than us.
-
How many 'Wearside branches' are there in Northumberland? It's always surprised me since I moved to Prudhoe, just how few mackems there are. In my year at school there was I think 2 - that's the whole Prudhoe, Wylam, Stocksfield etc area. I can't account for the rest of Northumberland, but here they are very few and far between. Probably about 5:1 ratio Newcastle:Sunderland in Berwick. Quite a few of them, but they're probably 4th in the pecking order after us, Man Utd and Liverpool.

Jealousy. 20 year old, travel the world, shag who they want, loaded. Tbh, I could handle singing some shite songs and doing my hair stupid for that kind of lifestyle.

Lucky boy Pardew today. It was pretty poor again.
