Manchester City have confirmed the signing of Brazilian striker Jo for an undisclosed club record fee.
Liverpool have finalised the transfer of Switzerland international defender Philipp Degen on a free transfer from German club Borussia Dortmund.
-
both sides were forced to sign gagging orders, banning them from ever disclosing details of the talks.
Wonder who the third party was that forced them?
And I wonder which side couldn't wait to break it?

My guess, and it is just from what i've read on here, so it's a pretty wild guess...
He's bought out his contract (with funds from us possibly) and Mallorca are left in a shitty position as they still owe his original Argentinian club some kind of payment. So Mallorca are going to try and get us to pay that as the player is no longer theirs. I'd say Mallorca are in a weak position myself. We will see.
This Webster m'larkey needs looking at though, wide open for abuse and misuse.

Great news, just the lift everyone was needing. Now for a few more.

I always remember that goal he scored, closely followed by his hair i must admit.
Chelsea away?
I'm thinking more the free-kick away at Blackburn in the cup.....
Aye, that's the one. (Thought he'd only scored once tbh.)

..and Keegan sent you to the Euro's to find him 3 players under 26 year old that should have no problems playing in the Premiership and, from time to time, excite the fans.
With only the final left to go you should have a pretty good idea by now. Keeping things realistic in the hopes of finding three players the club could actually sign, who would you put on your list? Let's see that shortlist...
Eren Derdiyok (21) Swiss
Sabri Sarioglu (23) Turk
Yuri Zhirkov (24) Russian

There is a god...
Oh wait, shit!

Harry - Keegan spoke on BBC Radio Newcastle this morning to say that he wouldn't be bringing anyone in before the end of July, he doesn't want to pay wages for players who aren't playing - looks like you'll have to wait!
A large percentage of this board is waiting for you to come back and say that was a joke.

Portsmouth have had a 9m bid rejected, allegedly, by Liverpool: source Merseyside Radio via the BBC.

Neutral Perspective
I like alot!
Especially the pics where it looks darker!
You mean where you can't actually make out the colour?

The white collar thing looks more and more daft the more I look at it.

Zenit St Petersburg coach Dick Advocaat is resigned to losing Russia playmaker Andrei Arshavin to a top English or Spanish club after Euro 2008.
Arshavin, 27, has starred in Russia's run to the semi-finals and informed Advocaat beforehand he wanted a move.
"I can understand that he wants to play in Europe," Advocaat told BBC 5 Live.
"I think he has some clubs in his mind, some in England and others in Spain, because they are the only two countries he would like to play in."
Arshavin helped Zenit win the Uefa Cup last season and, after being suspended for Russia's opening two games at Euro 2008, has returned to mesmerising
He helped them beat Sweden to reach the quarter-finals and then inspired a surprise 3-1 extra-time victory over the Netherlands.
Arsenal and Chelsea have already been linked with Russia's maestro but he would apparently favour a move to Spain and Advocaat believes he would succeed wherever he decided to go.
"We had a meeting and he said at his age this is the time to move on," Advocaat said. "It is difficult to say which league would suit him best. We play more or less 4-3-3 and our wide players have a lot of freedom.
"I'm not sure other coaches will give him the freedom but you have to otherwise it's difficult to use him. He needs the freedom to do what he thinks is best for the team.
"I have worked with him for two years and he is a very talented player.
"He's just turned 27, he's very quick, he has an excellent shot on both legs and besides scoring he can also provide for other players."
From BBC; some direct quotes from his current club manager.

Anyone else feel the 70-100m that went to pay off debt could well have been originally earmarked for the transfer market. The lack of due diligence ends up resulting in the changed plan er, blueprint, for the short-term and ultimately, long-term too.
Personally speaking, no.
