The most disturbing thing for me in the last few pages is the information that large sections of the crowd have apparently bought into Pardews incessant comments about Ben Arfa. Just goes to show how little people really think for themselves. No wonder Murdoch was trying to control the worlds media. I just want to see the lad given a run of starts.

One thing annoys me more than anything on here at present is the amount of people that keep repeating the Ben Arfa 'loses us possession' mantra. Someone, an eternal age ago, noted it in passing, he lost the ball, and now it is endlessly repeated as though it's a near criminal failing in his game. I just watched a match where everyone gave the fucking ball away from time to time. Krul with almost every launched long ball, Tiote in a very dangerous position in our own half, Simpson with every abortion of a cross or mindless clearance, Wilkinson.. well, need I go on? Look, we just can't risk playing Ben Arfa, he loses the ball too much.

Been trying to work out what happened there myself. Don't think it's as simple as Wilko for Saylor, but Santon's forward play certainly has Colo pulled out to the wings more than I would like.

Not impressed, but I've been that way for a while tbf. Don't know if he'd be more adventurous and confident with a couple of better players in defence, but I'm also uncertain if I want to wait and find out. Certainly seems to rely on statistics more than he should, furthermore it seems to be affecting the players confidence and cohesion. And quite how Cabaye doesn't think he was brought here under false pretences I don't know. Maybe he does.
