We'd been after Yanga-Mbiwa and Debuchy for quite a while. Also Sissoko and Gouffran were out of contract the following summer so I don't see why we wouldn't go through with those two later, we just happened to pay an extra few million to get them early because of the risk of relegation. Like I said who knows what's happened now with Kinnear in the mix. But prior to that our policy seemed to be looking for young players with potential and good players we thought we could get for less than their market value.

Its become far to predictable, super defensive against the bigger sides and and try to stay in the game until late then try to attack a bit and nick a goal. Or against lesser sides go out and attack a bit and if we nick a goal go defensive and hang on. Which invariably ends in the opposition getting back into the game and Pardew throwing on Ben Arfa in a panic move to try to get us back into the game. The Norwich game was a perfect example, 2-0 up at half time. People around me saying "we're cruising and they look shot defensively, stick more attacking threat on and really go at them, finish them off". Unfortunately it was all to obvious what he'd do. Told the lad next to me he'd change nowt, tell the team to drop back and be disciplined and keep the 2-0. At which time Norwich would find all the time and space they need to work themselves back into the game then he'd maybe throw on Cisse or Ben Arfa to try to push us forward and relieve the pressure. Which is exactly what he did, he really takes the fucking fun out of watching Football most of the time. I'm left feeling pissed off after wins sometimes because I've had to spend so much time sitting anxious despite us going ahead and having good momentum only for it to fizz out due to his actions. Absolutely right what's been said about him being a purely reactive manager, but even his reactions are often too slow and just wrong.

The players we signed in January were brought forward because we looked like going down, we still had them arranged to sign the following summer anyway. We certainly did have a transfer policy, of course we're yet to see if its still functioning since Kinnear arrived

Nobody's laughing at Norwich paying £3m for a squad player are they? Theres just some surprise that we can get even £3m for a player that some believe isnt good enough to play in the league anymore and far from a useful squad player for us.

No matter how stingy Ashley is the fact is the less money the club brings in the more stingy he'll be. Its pretty silly IMO not to want us to get as much as possible for any player we sell.

I do want to sign him but I wouldn't be too gutted if we don't (well depends on the situation really). Don't think that would rule out us signing anyone else either.

How am I talking shit? What do you think Ben Arfa's faults are then? Trying to claim he's far too greedy because he chose one pass instead of another is shit IMO. I mentioned what I thought his faults were. He should be working on his decision making and his movement off the ball. Even without those improvements however he should still be starting.

How do you know how fucking good I think he is? I can see his faults and am happy to discuss them with anyone who has something more worthwhile to say than vague comments like "he's not as good as people think".

You said he's far to greedy and went on to say you'd be suprised if anyone wants him. Why on earth would I assume you want him in the team with that kind of comment?

He's not consistently unplayable and needs to work on his decision making, right everyone knows that, doesn't make him greedy because he took the wrong (in your opinion) option for a pass/cross. Also the fact that he isn't consistently unplayable shouldn't keep him oh the bench.. As far as consistency goes and decision making that is only hindered further by being played so inconsistently by his manager.
