I know, I'm saying that I don't believe "break even in five years" meant paying off his loan.

As part of "a five year plan to break even" no doubt that break even, is to payback the debt so we are debt-free! we will defo break even this season I doubt that, we're already over three years into his plan after all.

Looking at the last financial report and adding the extra TV money (I believe its gone up since the last time we were in the Premiership) and a conservative estimate of the reduction in the wage bill will give you a good idea of where we are, its certainly not exact of course but not a total mystery either.

I know, its actually more then £40m

Our wage bill certainly isn't huge anymore, true its huge for a newly promoted club, but our revenue will be as well.
  7. 1,800, and the tickets apparently went on general sale according to someone on here. But I thought we could fill the entire stadium twice? And it was only mean Mr Ashley that was stopping us beign so ambitious?! What an incredibly odd comment You've inspired me to make a equally stupid prediction, we'll win 2:1.
  8. Of course, if we don't sign a player during the same period as this Ben Arfa saga then we mustn't be able to look at two transfers at once, fantastic logic

Not really.. I think he is looking after the interest of l'OM, not NUFC's, in the way you would expect him to tbh... That would be fair comment if we hadn't agreed a deal which he renegade on. The agent himself has said they set conditions which we met, only for them to turn around and change the conditions. Like we did with Milner a couple of seasons ago? What has that got to do with anything? The difference in that deal was that we actually cancelled that deal as we wanted to keep the player, we didn't just up the price. Like we did with Dyer? There we go, at least that example is actually an example. Mind you I don't know where I've said that we are some angelic club that would never do this to anyone. My point is, they are being cocks and have got themselves into this mess, blaming us is stupid. As for 'Unbelievable's point. I'm sure quotes attributed to his agent say that Deschamps told him to find a new club. Boo f***ing boo.. The fact remains, if we want him, we still have to negotiate a deal that is acceptable to them, wouldn't you agree? They're not blaming this on us btw.. Nobody's claimed that Marseille are obligated to sell Ben Arfa. This discussion started from Kezman calling their president a moron, I have to agree with that. The fact is they've handled this entire situation incredibly poorly. That's why they've ended up with a player who's threatening to go on strike, yet their president is still acting like a total knob in the press.

They have decided they can't afford to let him go, but if they have to (and it looks that way) they want rid permanently and to bring in a replacement. Wouldn't you? The club received a bid for Milner and accepted it initially but decided in the end not to sell. Marseille told Ben Arfa he should go, went out and found a club to get rid of him, agreed a deal and then decided to keep him. You don't see a difference their? The difference is we didn't alienate Milner.

    LOL at Lolro

You think people are calling him a twat for that prediction?

    Sunderland...

Notice on the fantasy league Bent is listed as doubtful for the first game with back injury an all. I didn't think that was allowed anymore? I thought there was now a rule that payments for a transfer couldn't be spread over more then 2 years, or did I imagine it?

There are actually still some people who think this is all rumour?
  15. I'll give you strong, but he's not a decent finisher like.
  16. You sound like you saw him run fast once and had no idea about what he's actually achieved in the Premiership. Again, he isn't, the one attribute he has which could help us is his pace (and that's all the fucker has), but he's nearly 33 now, which means his pace could go at any time. To be honest I don't really care if you think he's better then all our strikers, currently its arguable. What I don't like is when someone attacks me because I have an opinion on a player, IMO he is an awful striker who isn't good enough for the Premiership anymore, can you handle that?
  17. And just When did I say he was a good striker? I said he was better than our lot. But he isn't, he's a striker with a Premiership goal record worse then Ameobi and he's now nearly 33 so his one good attribute (his pace which is basically his entire game) will be fading away. At his best he was a just about passable Premiership striker, and that's being kind. Now he's an awful striker, like I said, and shouldn't even be playing in the Premiership anymore. But apparently I'm not a real Newcastle fan and make Newcastle a target by the media because of my totally justified opinion on Jason Roberts You honestly need to wind your neck in sometimes and think about what you're posting.
  18. His goal record for Blackburn is no better then Ameobi's! But your using a Championship goal record to prove he's a good striker? You dick!
  19. Jason Roberts is a fucking awful lower league striker.

something really doesn't add up about that does it? he's at the french champions, can go to other teams who'll have better domestic campaigns than us and he'll not get an increase in wages yet he wants to come to us hm.... Its pretty obvious, he wasn't to play in the Premiership, he wants to showcase what he can do and you don't showcase yourself in the French, German or Portuguese leagues. Aren't OM in the CL And top end of the German League >>>>> Fighting relegation in the PL I'm afraid for showcasing talent. Showcasing talent doesn't just mean playing where the TV ratings are highest you know? Playing in a shit team that might struggle against relegation is not likely to help him on a personal level is it? He's not staying with Marseille though, due to the problems he's had their. Also you have a limited number of games in the Champions League vs a league campaign. The fact is the Premiership is the most watched league on the planet and despite the shit we've been through we're still reasonably high profile. If we're fighting relegation that won't necessarily stop him from playing well either. If a truly high profile German side came in for him then maybe he'd go their instead, but most German sides wouldn't be a better showcase. Apparently Ben Arfa agrees Unless you can think of another reason why he's so set on coming here?
