  1. He's proved he's worth that money on current performances, but I agree that he's not been worth anywhere near the money we've paid overall and his form could easily drop. I also think he should be grateful that we backed him when he went to jail (especially given how completely shit he was as a player at the time). If he's demanding £60k or he'll go then he can go, at which point his legs will hopefully melt.. I did say IF before people argue that he's not demanding that wage.

    LOL at Lolro

What the fuck is proper money?
  3. Barton and Deacon? Seems to have been edited now, sure earlier on someone posted a quote from Pardew saying he'd make a decision on "joey and joey on Friday", obviously meant to be Joey and Jonas.
  4. He isn't worth the money because he just isn't, never was. Can still be a extremely effective player like.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I hope De Jong gets raped and murdered by a lion with gangrene on its cock.
  6. Not always no, but it fucking is in this case
  7. That's really a very small issue. It ceases to exist. Does it? There were rumours that he was prepared to write the debt off when the Moat deal was in the air. But even if that were true then, the situation is different now - so you are saying that Mike is prepared to write off £138 million of debt (at the last count) in order to get the club sold? And is approximately half of what he has invested really just a small issue? That depends on what he sells the club for, the numbers being talked about are £200m+ Of course they're just rumours, but that's all we've got to go on. Agree we are discussing nothing other than rumour here. But if the price of £200 million is to buy the club and the debt remains repayable then Ashley makes a profit of £62 million. If the total price is £200 million and the debt is written off then, based on the last reported figures, Ashley makes a loss off at least £76 million. So I was just making the point that the treatment of the debt is fundamental. Or £200m with £76m staying as debt. Not that I believe the likes of Ambani would want or need to leave a debt to Ashley in the clubs accounts. AFAIK the rumour is £200-£250m, but again its just journalists suggesting a price out of thin air IMO.

  9. Probably nonsense but I'd be all for this. This bloke seems to be in a different league to Ashley as a business man, and certainly is financially.

    Graham Carr

There are direct quotes from Hughton indicating otherwise. It all depends on who you wish to believe... there is a good chance both watched him, Carr wasn't involved with Newcastle at the time was he? One thing is for certain: Carr's memory of the matter is faulty. This is what he says: Tiote was not even at Roda in 2006, but was there for the 2007/2008 season on loan from Anderlecht. Roda did not play Arsenal in 2006; in fact the last time they qualified for Europe was 2004. Tiote played Arsenal with Twente in 2008 in the preliminary rounds of the Champions League that season. Twente lost 2-0 at home and 4-0 away. This must be the match he is referring to, but that match is a good 2 years later than he claims.. Can't believe a 66 year old man got the name of a team and a date wrong like, I'm fucking astonished.
  11. How the hell do Blackpool have no tradition? Pompey n all. It might be my youth showing, but surely all Blackpool have contributed to football is Matthews/Mortensen? And as for Portsmouth.....the bell guy and John Beresford, maybe? Both teams lack in trophies, have tiny stadia, are from lesser known places and have barely made a dint in English football. Maybe a bit harsh. But I could name about 30 bigger clubs than them. Pompey won the cup the other year man. Won the league the same number of times as City and Spurs too. Well yeah they've won the league as many times as those two but they still only have 4 major wins in their history, Tottenham have 14 and Man City have 9. I'm not going to say a club shouldn't be in the Premier League if they only have a certain number of trophies of course, just saying. Personally the reason I wouldn't want to see Portsmouth back is because they couldn't afford to be their last time, they've ripped off numerous people over the last several years and got a trophy out of it.. its penance time.
  12. One team I definitely don't want to see promoted are Nottingham Forest, their fans were a right bunch of idiots last season in the Championship. QPR, Leeds and Leicester would be my picks.
  13. Of course there's cause for concern, but that's quite different to claiming we can't score, can't defend, will struggle to get 3 points from the next 9 games ect (yes I know that bit was Brazilianbob not you).
  14. Don't bother with facts mate, we lost one game, so we're the worst team in the world again. We're going to go down despite the fact that we're still not even in bottom three form and are 5 points ahead of the kind of teams that struggle to get 5 points from 7 or 8 games. The fourth bottom teams going to need 45 or so points to stay up don't you know, why?, well based on.. erm nothing.
  15. We beat far better teams, so ok, we'll lose to WBA ect and beat Manure by both your logic Honestly, fuck off with this shit already.
  16. If we beat Stoke will you stop being so fucking negative? Not just for one game either.
  17. Yeah I already said fuck on this page earlier, the filter must be fucking fucked, for fuck sake.
  18. How the fuck aren't any of those away games winnable?? Our away form is excellent, Blackpool, Stoke and Villa are all winnable games. 4 points behind us. So you want to play slightly more entertaining losing Football?
  19. Our away form is the fourth best in the league at the moment, however Stokes home form isn't too bad (its their away form that's absolutely abysmal) so its hard to say which way this will go. I'd definitely be happy with a draw, but I'm going to say 2-1 to Newcastle.
  20. Starting to do too much talking, best tip i can give Pardew now is keep quiet and just do the business in the summer. I don't want to hear about what might happen and what has happened in the past. If he refused to answer those kind of questions people would be slating him and talking about how it shows we're not going to spend in the summer.
  21. So was I. That was one of the several occasions where he backed off too much... Simpson was as much at fault for just jogging back when he could see that Osman was in acres like. Backing off wasn't as much of a problem as being 30 yards out of position like.
  22. Still think its pretty likely that 40 will be enough.
