  1. No not at all, but obviously he'd have to take a large pay cut. Even if he was banging in the goals I'd still only want him to stay with a pay cut though, its idiotic to pay one player £120,000 a week at the best of times. But when he's injury prone and your club aren't even in Europe never mind the Champions League its fucking suicide. If he agreed to a contract on £60,000 with very large goal bonuses I'd keep him.

I'd rather they played eager talented young players then a bunch who are already mentally lying on the beach. Obviously we all hope that Manure will still have something to play for on the last day, but if they don't I think the kids playing won't be the worst scenario for us.

Exactly. 3 days before the Champions League Final I'm sure Man U will have all their kids playing in that game (unless they haven't won the Premiership by then which is unlikely). You think that'll be an easy game for Hull?

2005/2006 was the last time 34 points was enough, its been enough for 5 out of the last 10 seasons, assuming better goal difference of course which we have.

But if Boro get a point against us and then beat Villa and get a point against West Ham then four more would still keep us up.. Or am I misunderstanding you, probably. EDIT: Reading it again yes I am
  6. Yeah wonderful that like, I wonder how many other sides fighting relegation they would have been so disrespectful too?
  7. Aye Im getting pissed off, everytime I think its over and we are down Hull lose. If we stay up its not because we desrve it just because Hull are so crap. If Hull stay up its not because they deserve it but because we're so crap. So then the question is who actually deserves to stay up?
  8. Why don't they give Martins an injection to completely numb the area so he can play at his best for this game? If that means he won't play again this season then so be it, this is the most important match by far and Martins has been shit when playing through the pain anyway.. Dave shut up man
  9. Not everyone, just a lot of them. By the way surely he can't be on the ball without being near the ball? Take no notice of me, bickering is the only thing taking my mind of the game tomorrow
  10. Like I said, he'll play, make a mistake and all of a sudden Colo will be better, its the way this board works. By the way I don't worry at all when Coloccini's actually on the ball. I only worry when a big or aggressive striker is on the ball against him or he's marking someone like that from a corner ect. Its his lack of aggression and pace that worry me, not his control or passing which aren't bad at all.
  11. Until he plays at centre back makes his next balls up (hand ball or crazy foul) and once again he'll be the worst centre back around, oh and "anyone would be better even Colo" will be the catch phrase of the day
  12. Emre played 50 games in three seasons and Parker just spun on the spot for two years straight. Milner was a good player, but one of our best?, perhaps but its marginal IMO.
  13. The way our luck is going atm, a Boro CB brings down Martins in the box, the referee would probably give them a penalty. even if we got a pen there is no-one in our team i would be confident in stepping up and taking it. Strangely enough if Ameobi was playing I'd be more confident in him scoring it then any of the rest Then again Viduka is surely good at pens??
  14. its not the team i would have picked, its what we came up to between us at work, 4 toon fans, 3 mackems and a smoggie. The 2 strikers are in as they're the only ones that have scored goals, Butt's in, actually i have no idea why Butt is in, think cos the choice was so bad and Beye's not in the team cos he's been injured and missed most of the season. Cisse and Jones both have 10 goals each, same as Owen (just in far less games). Jones and Owen would be a better partnership as well IMO. I didn't actually read your post by the way :-[ so I didn't know you were anything to do with picking it, didn't mean to take the piss with my response.
  15. More like £23 million wages like, but its still an insanely massive amount for that lot
  16. Cisse and Jones up front? The two players Sunderland fans say are so poor together that they look like they've never met each other let alone played together all season. EDIT: Oh yeah and Nicky Butt?? He wouldn't even get in our team of the year never mind a northeast team of the year Where the fuck's Beye as well?
  17. IMO having a manager all season will improve us no end, enough to be comfortably mid table at least, get to the stage were we're financially sound and then push on from their.
  18. But the massive losses we've made, and we continue to make (£50-60 million over the last two seasons?), dictate that maybe we shouldn't. £10 million plus whatever we can get from transfers sounds like a decent sum for now. The season after, when the financial sitaution of the club should be far more stable (losses down to £7 million I believe was the estimate) we can push on and spend significantly more, hopefully..
  19. Are you seriously telling me you wouldn't murder Phil Thompson?
  20. Keep in mind that Fulham are an entirely different side away from Craven Cottage: Home - 11 wins - 3 Draws - 4 Loss Away - 2 Wins - 8 draws - 8 losses 6th in the form table away from home though. We're bottom of the home table. They're form is a lot better lately fair enough, but I'd be happy with a draw against Fulham, unless of course we don't beat Boro, but lets not talk about that possibility Also to be a little bit fair to us just look at our last 5 home games (which comprise that form table) It doesn't get too much harder then that like.

  22. Yes, I'd kill Phil Thompson, the ignorant big mouth cunt that he is.

Mathematically they have a chance, but they need a minimum of one win and a draw from their last two games to have any chance at all due to their terrible goal difference.
  24. They'd need a minimum of 4 points from their remaining two games IF we got nothing at all from both of ours, we get one point from Fulham or Villa and they'd need to win both of their remaining games! if we beat them then they really won't be the team to worry about..
