I thought Geremi was significantly better then Butt when he came on.
-
He has got things in his locker and ocassionally he does very good things, but most of the time as one of our main offensive outlets he runs down blind alleys or overhits the cross. I will say though it normally takes a season or so to aclimatise to the PL. But in all reality I'm a little dissapointed in him. Maybe he needs to practice shooting and medium passing more...I don't know... He definitely needs something to be done about his shooting, he just seems to have no confidence in it. But I also think what would help him a lot is having players around him who offer him some support, from midfield/up front rather then just from left back.

Sorry mate, mines been out for about 2 months. Of course it's probably not fair to judge surrounded by dross as he is. But, he seems to lack some basiscs ie crossing, shooting and passing. Relevant or not? His crossing was shit today and hasn't been good lately, its never been that good but its definitely taken a dip. His passing isn't great either, but again isn't anywhere near as bad as today made it look IMO. I'd say he's a quick player with a lot of drive and trickery but with pretty average crossing and passing, and no shooting ability at all. He's had a bad spell, but at his best he's a good player and one of our best. Simply because even when he doesn't produce much end product he pushes teams back and creates space for other players, he also tracks back very well. I have been disapointed with him lately, but I'm not going to get on his back yet.

He hasn't played very well for a few games, but I still I agree completely. No doubt if he has a few good games soon this thread will be re-renamed.. fickle cunts.

Didn't take too long for the knives to come out

Teams below us not getting any consistent points, players like Beye, Barton, Guthrie, Owen and Martins (wasn't fit today) coming back to fitness. You mean just like the last time we barely got a point in a 5 week period, starting it 2 points above the relegation zone and ending it still above the relegation zone by 1 point. Boro won't get fluke results every week, Blackburn won't play Hull every week. Its been a bad week for us, with us not getting points and teams below us getting a rare result, but that's not going to happen often.

You talking about fat Fred and the Hall's? They didn't pretend the club was broke, they actually made it that way. Just a little correction for you there.
-
Of course he has a chance, you always have a chance in court if you've got a good lawyer, no matter how ridiculous your claim is.

Berbatov also wanted out... Bellamy wanted out, Man City knew that as well, yet West Ham robbed them blind, £15 million for that old waster.

Not if his hands fall off he won't.

Yeah what a weird fucker he is.
-
Hope his hands fall off.

We've had the big increase from the last deal I think when TV money went up £20-30 million (that was included in the last financial report from 2007-2008). I've got no idea what the latest deal is or when it kicks in. But it must be a while from now because I think 2007-2008 was the first year of the last big TV deal.

Of course they would but how could that happen right now? It needs to happen before next season begins. I think Ashley will have a job on his hands convincing anyone it will even if he genuinely intends to make it happen. Exactly, so what if they need cash now? I think everyone agrees that a price drop is insignificant compared to Newcastle doing well, but right now the only realistic way to get people to buy tickets is a price drop. They then need to follow that up with an improvement of the playing staff in July/August and a new manager as soon as possible.

Kinnear's just had a triple heart bypass though, don't you think that just maybe Lambias is giving him some much needed support? I don't think that necessarily means he'll be our permanent manager. If that did end up happening I'd be one of the people complaining. By the way, what could they do right now to convince you and most other fans that they're going to make progress? Of course they would but how could that happen right now?

Why should we give them kudos for effectively upping prices for twelve months? They aren't doing this for us, they're doing this for them. They need bums on seats. The fact all they have done is roll back prices to what they were a year or two ago when the product on the pitch is utter gash and the country is in the depths of a financial clusterfuck is hardly admirable. I hate to say it but Quinn, Short and who ever else is in charge down the road have got it spot on. Their reductions to all are fairly substantial and they're selling season tickets for under 16's at £19 a pop. That's what Ashley should be doing if he wants to get bums on seats, not fobbing us off with lame offers. I didn't expect everyone to give them kudos. What grinds on me is people attacking them for dropping the price, or saying its not even a price drop in the first place. By the way no Football club make these kind of offers to help supporters, Sunderland aren't either. They're making the offer for the same reason we are, because they aren't currently filling there stadium and they fear a further drop in attendance.

Your first statement Coco. This was my first statement: "Who says there'll be losses? If this move gets attendances up to around 50,000 there would be no loss from this season." What's so bad about it?
-
Dee one. It's utter bilge in the grand scheme of things, especially considering what's going on both on and off the pitch. Dee one The fact is they've done something positive and certain people, like yourself, are slating them for it. To the point where your trying your best to claim its not even a price drop, its just a roll back I get the idea that if they hadn't bothered to drop prices at all they'd have ended up with less bother because certain fans will just jump on any action and make it a negative.

You my friend are the biggest clown of all. Based on what? Give me an argument Krusty.
-
Excellent, if we all use the phrase rolled back instead of reduced we can pretend this hasn't happened and continue to complain! What a plan!
-
Newcastle drop season ticket prices, Newcastle fans complain, couldn't fucking make it up, some of you are clowns.
