  1. What the fuck's happened the him? Looks like he's smashed a glass over his own head again.
  2. Fucking Woodgate, greasy haired cunt.
  3. He has always been poor in the air and had poor feet decent shot stopper though. He's never been great from crosses but I don't remember him looking this dodgy.
  4. He's 21, and he plays a lot more games then Dyer. Though Dyer was the better player IMO.
  5. £50 million actually, with £1.1 million brought back in.
  6. Dear me.. Oh and drop Coloccini for Taylor Gallowgate? Why because Taylor's distribution is so great? Coloccini and Bassong are our two best central defenders, Coloccini has been out of form recently but he's still been solid, which is more then I can say for Taylor at centre back (he's been quite good at right back though IMO).
  7. Man he was nowhere near through on goal, you need to go back and watch it again.
  8. I think we'll lose the next five. Well that would be a different matter, though I still don't think we'd be in the bottom three if we did. I also don't think we will lose the next 5.
  9. Why is everyone ignoring Guttierez' shocking miss? Is it because he is awesome? Shocking miss? You mean when he was 20 odd yards out with no support and a player ahead of him, yeah tap is wasn't it?
  10. How are they going to move upwards? Are the league giving out free points or something? Blackburn can win games Stoke have a new scorer in Beattie whos already getting goals Tottenham always have the ability to win Portsmouth are on the back of their first win and a decent draw in a long while Hull beat us in carling cup with a reserve side out A lot of the teams around us could move up if youre living in reality. However if you feel safer deluding yourself feel happy to. Feeble reasoning that though isn't it? Just because its possible for them to win doesn't mean they will. We recently went on a run of gaining only 1 point in 5 games, we started that run 2 points off the bottom three and finished it one point off. The teams you mentioned just aren't gaining points consistently enough to assume they'll gain on us significantly even if we lost three in a row. But if it makes you feel better to wallow in panic and self pitty be my guest, just don't get mixed up on who's deluding themselves.
  11. Nolan hasn't seriously injured three players already this season, get some perspective for fuck sake.
  12. How are they going to move upwards? Are the league giving out free points or something?
  13. I'd only offer him a normal basic wage but offer large performance based incentives. For example, £45,000 per week basic, £15,000 playing bonus (only first team starts), £25,000 win bonus (only for games he plays in) and £20,000 goal bonus. If he was on that contract this season he'd have earned £57,000 per week (yes its still very good money but a lot less then £105,000). While it would also give him the opportunity to earn around £80,000 or more per week if he and the team did brilliantly. Just an example as I said, but this is something like what I'd like us to offer him now. Of course it won't happen..
  14. Piece of shit, I hope someone kills him and his family. EDIT - No bites? Must be too late
  15. I hope it works, but I doubt it. The more people that stay away the longer we have to wait until the clubs finances are sorted, and until they're sorted we'll always be in transition mode IMO.
  16. Newcastle's 2011 strike force: Ranger - Vuckic
  17. I don't get how you can blame Shepherd at all to be honest. Every club has debt, Mike Ashley - being a top businessman apparently - bought us without even checking everything and then after realizing started to blame the previous owners. You couldn't make it up. Ashley making his own mistake in not checking into our finances properly doesn't negate what Shepherd did. Which was put this club in a terrible financial position. We didn't just have debt, we had gotten to a position were our outgoings were considerably higher then our incomings, and that was getting worse each year. Debt is fine if you can afford the repayments, massive losses that are spiralling further and further out of control year on year isn't fine, because that's a debt you can never recover from unless you do something about it. Its like the difference between a bloke who has a 200,000 mortgage on a house and makes all his payments on time and has money left for himself and a bloke who lives beyond his means and keeps getting new credit cards and loans of increasingly large amounts to keep living how he wants.
  18. I suppose the one area for optimism is our revenue which is very high. If we can cut down the wages to a level nearer to the likes of the Spuds and Everton and stop giving managers massive payoffs we'll be in a position to make big money rather then lose it. Most clubs can't say the same, clubs like West Ham have a wage bill 30% lower then ours but they're still in big trouble because they just don't make enough money. I suppose what I'm saying is its much easier to see how we can turn our finances around then it is for a lot of other clubs in this league.
  19. Its relevant to a totally different discussion?, ok then. It should also be mentioned that those three players were signed by Allardyce with Ashley's backing before he brought his own team in. How many players have we brought in on stupid wages since then?
  20. Weren't four of those signed under Ashley's ownership? Yes four of them were signed by Allardyce when Ashley first arrived, is that relevant?
  21. Apart from Owen and Viduka keeping us up last year....and Owens goals (which have earned us 6 points) keeping us off bottom so far this year. Last season they helped to keep us up yes, this season Viduka's done absolutely fuck all. Owen's the only player who offers us anything at all out of that list, but its still very little compared to what he's being paid.
  22. Owen, Viduka, Smith, Geremi, Duff, Cacapa They all add very little to nothing to this club, yet they take up somewhere around £21 million a year, 33% of our total wage bill on six wasters. Joey Bartons very close to being added to that list IMO as well, a further £3 million a year.

  24. He replied to you. Yes and I replied to him before that when he originally brought Villa into the discussion, so what? How difficult is it to understand that I would like him to admit he's wrong on one issue before bringing up another? Are Everton carrying 85m debt or not? Is that the point or not?, no its not. Show me one comment where I claimed any Premiership team wasn't in debt. My very first comment was that debts are acceptable, but what isn't acceptable is a continuing debt which spirals out of control. Everton have a debt and costs they can afford, they made no loss last year and contrary to what you say there wages take up just short of 66% of there income. The year before it wasn't tho was it? ( I hadn't seen the 2008 accounts). But I had an inkling I'd find borrowing. No it was higher, wages were 75% of there turnover in 2006-2007. Though it has to be mentioned that had they not outsourced there catering ect it would have been around 66%. They lost £8 million in revenue due to outsourcing, I believe they did that to save on operating costs, I can only assume they were actually losing money on catering the year before The 2008 books looked cooked, no wonder there's a catering deficiency. Nah what happened in the 2008 books was a significant rise in revenue due to the new TV deal. Wages increased by £6 million a year but TV money increased over £20 million. Now we're getting somewhere. We got more money as well then? We got the same I assume, our revenue increased to £99 million from £82 million the year before. If we hadn't gotten that extra money we'd have lost over £50 million last season.
