A keeper only ever needs to make reflex saves if there team is performing poorly? Doesn't make sense that like.
-
Like I said, I remember one against Wigan, which other assist does he have? Also Jonas has 3, and Geremi has 4.
-
Taylor gives us an actual right back though, as well as some ability from set pieces and someone who can play on the right side of midfield that isn't Geremi. Zog loses us some moaning and an occasional good run.
-
I'm thinking of the pass to Martins against Wigan? What's the other?
-
One assist all season..
-
How can things being the way they already were mean we've weakened?
-
Barton's played only 8 games all season though, we can't rely on him so yes I'd say Nolan has strengthened both the team and the squad.

OK, I realise people are pissed off, but why has the finances thread been forgotten? The club is losing £20m a season. How exactly is Ashely pocketing cash? It's not.. Just a paper "loss".. OK, Ashley is putting £20m a year in to cover wages. Better? Nope, we made a loss due to player amortisation. Means nothing in terms of cash flow. I see. So in terms of cash flow where did the £30 million of new cash that Ashley put into the club during the year end up then? I'd be interested in seeing that actually. What was the clubs total cash coming in and total cash going out? (so no amortisation, none of Ashley's money ect, just club revenue minus real cash costs). I'm not claiming he's made money by the way, I'd just be interested in seeing that if you'd be so kind, just whenever you've got time.

Exactly, how much of a mug would you have to be to think the squad has improved? Not really, it is stronger now, even though its a disgrace they didn't improve it a lot more.

Time for a chorus of Celebrate by Cool and The Gang!

Well if Taylor is the only one coming in are you still going to be excited over that? I predict a big no. -

Or David Craig asked them about the story, which is actually what he said as far as I remember. -

That rumoured offer was meant to be made yesterday, Ashley's comment was made today, so no. -

Is this really going to be the first time we end up in profit from a transfer window under Ashley? There'd be hell on if that happens. Then again they can't just spend for the sake of it. -

Deadline extended.. with conditions. Basically personal terms and medical can be done after the deadline as long as both clubs tell the league they've agreed a deal in principle but that the weather has caused problems getting the player there in time. -

I suppose a lot of transfers are like a game of chicken and deadline day is like the last second you have to steer away before impact. -

dcmk He didn't play zog because we were a better team without him. Obviously not because of lack of ability, but because the lads not right in the head. I just don't see how we're going to miss a player who was last good in 2007. I haven't seen a lot of Nolan, but I thought he had a good debut in a very difficult game yesterday and seriously doubt he's not better then Butt or Geremi so for £4 million he's improved us. I haven't read any Wigan forums, I won't judge him on that, I'll judge him when he plays for us. I'm expecting a average player with a decent free kick who can do a solid job at right back or right side of midfield, we've paid very little for him afterall. -

Would be a good buy, swap for Duff? would be a hell of a buy, have wanted us to sign him for over a year But some people here were saying he was a hell of a buy for the Spuds. Back then I questioned why he was being sold if he was so good with so much potential. Same question now, why is he being sold off again less then a season later if he's such a great buy? because different managers have different opinions of players and because clubs are at different levels and need different positions filled? Well yeah obviously but that doesn't explain why this lad with so much ability keeps getting passed down the line. -
