Stoke are the worst away side in the league though and they've beaten Hull quite easily. Can Bolton at home really be worse at the moment then Stoke are away?
-
Now lets see a Bolton goal just doe good measure
-
Fucking hell I feel like I just came, I'm suddenly so relaxed
-
The last thing we want is a Stoke and Sunderland win FFS, West Brom barely come into the equasion. Yes they have Blackburn on the last day, so lets say they win that and get 34 points. Well if we don't get at least 34 points we're relegated anyway wether West Brom get their or not, and if they do we still beat them on goal difference so what's it really matter? Fair enough. I'd just rather they all fucking lose. So would I just so we're not technically joint bottom of the league But overall I just don't care what happens with West Brom. Unless they go on to beat Liverpool and Blackburn like then I'd really care!

Look, if we don't think we can get at least as many points in three games as West Brom can in two we might as well give up now anyway, its inconsiquencial, Hull and Sunderland and our own results are all that matter.

Haha, yeah still think you'll give a few people false hope. Ah well fuck them
-
Some people might take that as Bolton going ahead mind Dave
-
Couldn't care less if West Brom get a draw like.
-
Yeah they obviously remember us qualifying 7 seasons ago but not 6 years ago
-
How odd to look at the last 6 seasons. Why not the last 5 then it would have actually made their point true
-
The like of Chelsea and Man City don't count as survival of the fittest to me. Making clubs stick within a percentage of their own turnover would limit the ridiculous and unfair spending which only goes to drive up the price of players and increase already astronomical wages even further.
-
Stoke maybe but Bolton? They have 10 points from their last 5 home games, which is pretty good. Why should Hull be able to quite easily beat them? They're not that good. If Hull go in needing to win to survive then there's no reason why they can't, it's Bolton ffs not Arsenal or Chelsea. If we were playing Bolton away would you also say we could easily beat them? Of course they can beat them, but not easily, it would be a hell of a result for them given their form vs Boltons.

If I thought we really needed 7 points to stay up I'd go to a 9.9 The fact that 4 gives us a chance is what's keeping me on an 8.
-
So you must believe Sunderland will win one of their games? Which one do you recon, just out of interest.
-
truth be told, weighing up their fixtures it's a little optermistic of me to expect them to finish on 35 Yeah easy as fuck their fixtures like Obviously they might get something from them, anythings possible, but I wouldn't say its optimistic to think they won't. I know if those were Newcastles fixtures I'd be wondering where our next point was coming from.
-
We need 7 points to guarentee survival IMO, but 4 or 5 could easily do it.
-
Where you seen that? What a lot of shit That fat singer would get arrested as well if he was there.
-
You'd think so. But we'll need to win the Boro and Fulham games to have any real chance of finishing above Sunderland, not going to happen sadly Where are you expecting Sunderland to get points from? i'm expecting Sunderland to stay on 35 points meaning we need at least 5 to finish above them, given their superior goal difference. Not going to happen imo So you're saying we need two wins because we're definitely going to lose 3:0 at Villa? That's a bit odd. Personally I'd say that if we went into the villa game on the same points as Sunderland with a better goal difference and with them playing Chelsea then we'd have a real chance. I think everyone here would jump at that scenario right now.

Can't say I agree with that article like. Not just the idea of going down not being a disaster but some of the player he suggests to let go/keep and some of his info is way off (wages, and thinking Gonzales will still be here for instance).
-
I think if we stay up we'll be able to offload Smith, Barton and Geremi (Geremi only has one year left and hasn't figured so I think he'll want to try to look for a two year deal somewhere else) and of course Owen, Viduka, Cacapa and Gonzales are out of contract so we can just release them. That would almost totally purge our squad of the highly paid wasters that are drowning this club (something like a £22 million wage drop). Then we'll only have Duff, Butt and Ameobi to remove IMO.

Only 1 of them was clear imo. You could argue that the 50-50 between Alves and Malouda as well. If you're going to call that a foul, at least call it where it occured. Pique's handball was a clear pen imo. Drogba threw himself on the floor, the Molouda incident was outside the box, and the Eto'o handball was clearly not a pen. The Barca player grabbed a hand full of Drogba's shirt and held on to it to pull him back so the keeper could get to the ball first. Unless you disagree that happened I've no idea how you can argue that it wasn't a pen. Doesn't matter one jot if he threw himself down, the foul was there and it was obvious.
