  1. Impossible, nobody would ever want to sign for us, ever!
  2. If he's as good at taking free kicks for Newcastle as he is against I'll be happy. Maybe if we put extra Newcastle players in the opposition wall he can imagine he's taking one against us? If we do it against Man City he'll even see Given in goal.. it'll work I tell you!!
  3. Who knows, nobody's even confirmed that a fee has been agreed. But if we're close to an agreement we could ask for them to send him up so we can finalise the fee at the same time to get it done in time. Or maybe not.
  4. He could already be here having a medical so its not impossible.
  5. really? I don't think so. You don't think he's half out the door as it is? Of course I don't want us to be raped money-wise, but I'd take the fairest offer they can give us in a shot now. Especially since he's put in a transfer request. There's hardly any time for us to spend any money as it is. Isn't the fairest offer they can give us just whatever they offer? I don't know. I'm sure both clubs are very aware that we're not wanting to sell for £5m, so I'd only hope they can negotiate a fair price. Now I know we don't have to sell him as such but I'm personally just resigned to him leaving as it is. Anything below £8m and we should refuse though. Fair enough yeah I'd say we should be going for £10 million at the moment, wait until they increase it and then say £9 million final. At this stage I'd be happy enough with that. If Given wasn't stamping his feet so much £12 million would be the lowest acceptable offer.
  6. You say that but I bet man city win alot more than arsenal over the coming years!! I bet they don't. Put your money where your mouth is then?? 20p Make it one English pound!!

No we shouldn't accept that (currently £5 million). We should tell them and Given to fuck right off, we've agreed to his transfer request but that doesn't mean we have to accept whatever Man City throw our way.

  9. Apart from the £50,000 a week and being treat like a fucking king you mean. I can't blame him for eventually wanting to leave, but I definitely blame him for the way he's gone about it. Which could end up costing this club a great deal of money.
  10. Yesterday Kinnear claimed we'd offered £2.5 and they raised the price to £3 million. Now he says we offered £3 million originally and they doubled the asking price, fucking jackanory..
  11. Doesn't this put us in an even weaker position? It says to City that while we won't accept there offer at the moment the deal will have to happen eventually.. Instead we should be telling City and Given that he won't be leaving unless we get the fee we're after, that they have 24 hours to make the right offer or he's staying until the summer.
  12. Only one paper has claimed they value him at £18 million, every other source says £12 million.
  13. Look at the accounts. We didn't make a £12m profit in summer did we. The Milner money isn't included in those accounts. See note 26. Note 26 of the accounts? I don't have them, but they were up to June or July weren't they? Milner moved in late August, what does this note say then?
  14. Why is that strange? Just about any transfer fee these days is paid in installments.

  16. Not if we put him in the reserves permanently
  17. Those 3 said a bid had been made, and they were considering it hadn't been accepted. No I'm pretty sure one of them said it had been accepted, not saying I believe them like.. Either way where has this story of a £5 million bid come from?
  18. Had Given just handed in a transfer request straight away but accepted that any deal would be dependant on us receiving a good fee for him I'd have no problem. Obviously instead he's been making noises behind the scene's to Man City that have put us in a totally shit position. They know he wants to leave now no matter what and so are trying to rip our eye's out. I'm not saying I hate him or anything, he's done a lot for the club, but this whole thing is just pissing me off now. I was happy enough that he was allowed to leave as long as we got a good fee, now it looks increasingly like we'll end up having to accept peanuts for him.
  19. Yeah I mean whats 11 years like Yeah I mean what's doing his best to put us in a shit position so Man City can rob us blind eh?
  20. Would be decent but we are also loosing a good left winger and not replacing him and a goalkeeper. s*** are we selling Jonas? Oh no you mean Insomnia?.. Also Given doesn't need replacing IMO. Like him or not, Zog is better than Duff and if he leaves ideally we'd need to replace him. He's been useless for a long time, neither Duff or N'Zogbia should be playing left wing anyway, Jonas should. Hopefully if we get Taylor he can do a good job on the right side.

  22. Since when have we offered £5 million? Seriously I must have missed some updates on this. Last I heard was when the Italian press started talking about the bid and said a £3.8 million offer had been accepted. What's been said since and from what sources?
  23. As for Given, the bloke can fuck off, I'm really not bothered in the slightest. But if we accept £5 million I'll fucking lose my rag, I don't give a shit if he's put in a transfer request, unless it was written on a cheque for £5 million from himself then we should tell him "No problem, you can go when we get an acceptable offer".
  24. Actually we offered £2.5 million because that was the price we were quoted, they now want £3 million. What will they want next if we just give in?
