  1. People do believe certain stories to fit there agenda. But people also believe things that they think sound believable given the situation. Just because certain things going on behind the scenes at Newcastle have been correct in the papers doesn't mean I have to believe it was all true.
  2. I remember it being "We've got this lad called Spiderman". It could certainly be construed as Jimenez saying that the player is available and willing to sign rather then he's already signed.
  3. Shearer had brilliant technique, passing, shooting, first touch were all flawless. He didn't show much flair, but that's another thing entirely.

    Shola injured?

    What happened to Owen like?
  5. Maybe if there was no buyer lined up, but with someone already doing due diligence it just wouldn't be acceptable to go around selling assets from under them.
  6. Baffling isn't it, not only would it make no sense at all for Ashley to sell players, but any potential buyer wouldn't stand for it either.
  7. I missed that comment, do you have a link for those quotes?
  8. Duff played well today. I can't see how anyone could objectively argue with that. I can argue it, I think most people would. I won't argue that he does a hell of a job of making it look like he's doing something though. He runs about a lot, but he never really achieves anything.
  9. We're not going to get relegated.. As for who we have to be beating, Fulham have lost one game at home this season, they're not as bad as you're making out.
  10. Tactical, he had a pretty poor game today tbh, gave the ball away far too often. He had a poor game by his standards but he was still better than Duff.

    Duff vs Dyer

When Dyer was fit he was many times the player Duff is. But that's a big when.
  12. Playing Cacapa today was a big mistake by Kinnear. He's barely played and he's weak at the best of times, Bassong might not be the most experienced but he's big strong and quick, why on earth didn't he start??
  13. Now they're saying on Sky that the incident at the start with Anelka was a penalty. Because despite the fact that Robinson didn't make any contact with Anelka his presence made him lose his balance. So now you no longer have to actually foul someone to have a penalty given against you
  14. He could have stopped it crossing the line had he not stood with his hand in the air. I really hope it starts raining again now and keeps going so the games called off.
  15. Mike Ashley won't be getting any guarantees, but I'm sure Keith Harris will. He's the man doing the majority of the deal after all. Which I'm fairly happy with, because he has no malice towards the club or fans and has his own reputation on the line if we end up in the wrong hands.
  16. FWIW, I think Newcastle are genuine contenders for relegation until a permanent manager is appointed and Ashley is gone. I thought Spurs would suffer the same fate whilst Ramos was in charge and Bent 'Arry is the best possible appointment in our current situation. So you're saying that we're genuine contenders for relegation but you lot aren't now? How does that work? Or have I misunderstood you?
  17. Yes he paid off debt, which then meant his company didn't have to pay interest payments and also increased the value of his asset. However he's never shown that he'll actually put in his own money for transfers.
  18. Nonsense, we're very much a global brand, constantly in the news (wether for positive or negative its exposure) and a very well known team in the most famous Football league on the planet. Financially we're in a far better position then most and with Football going the way it is Newcastle United is an asset which will increase in value even in the bad times. Something which will be made abundantly clear when Ashley makes a profit on the club while its in crisis and during a recession!
  19. Now they're all trying to justify it by saying that if that happened outside of the area it would be a free kick so "I suppose it must be a penalty then". Not one of them has the decency to just admit that it was a poor decision that went their way, too far up there own arses.
  20. Commentators said 'he made the most of it' and that Gerrard 'jumped into him more than anything' How is it that no-one in the media mentions it? When you JUST heard them! On the fence comments like "He made the most of it" are hardly the same as actually calling it like it is and saying he dived is it?
