Henry had the touch of a rapist when he joined Arsenal as well. Bollocks. Like I said, I just wanted to use that phrase But seriously, his control was far from great at first.
-
He was definitely a player with fantastic potential for Monaco, not saying he was crap or anything But he was a long way from the player Wenger turned him in to.

Henry had the touch of a rapist when he joined Arsenal as well. Gerraway. Ok I admit it, I just wanted to use that phrase However the ball would often get away from Henry in his first season at Arsenal, he was still a relatively raw player when they signed him (blistering pace but not enough ball control and a bit of tunnel vision at times).

£12 million is to much for Bent.

Obviously I'm a Spurs fan because I don't have a massive chip on my shoulder about them like you do. Still they will do a Leeds soon so we won't have to worry about them. No, you're a Spurs fan because so far you've changed you're argument twice in order to defend them ahead of Newcastle. BTW I agree 100% with the text in your smillie there. OMG U MUST BE SPUDZ FAN! I'm taking the piss out of your ridiculous opinion that I must be a Spurs fan because I don't have blinkers and defend Newcastle over everyone all of the time. Honestly?, thanks for clearing that up. I disagree by the way, you do seem to have blinkers on, just not for Newcastle. Because I don't think Spurs will do a Leeds because they signed Modric? mackems.gif Who said Spurs will do a Leeds because they signed Modric?.. Are you having some kind of chemically induced hallucination?

The most true thing said all thread. I think qualifying for Europe has allowed him to experiment a little more than he would, if they hadn't won the Carling cup I think he would have took the run in more seriously looking for Europe through a league position. Portsmouth seen to have given the league up too. Ah of course, that's it, the great Spuds just don't need to win games anymore. Otherwise they'd obviously be 6th in the league at the moment

And they still will. They're going to finish way above us?.. how? mackems.gif
-
If you look at the difference in fixtures and the state of the clubs at the time Ramos had the head start, again that's why everyone and his mother thought they'd finish way above us.
-
The point is nobody thought we could stay ahead of them.. The general consensus was that the wonderful Ramos would drive the mighty spuds up the table while poor witless Keegan and his bunch of misfits would drop like a stone, hasn't quite happened like that though
-
Wenger has £65m to spend in the summer if he wanted, he just chose not to. don't see extra money making much of a difference. Exactly £65 million?.. Where does that figure come from then?
-
I suppose this answers my question about Spurs anyway, they had a £31 million debt at the end of the 2006-2007 season.
-
They will win the Champions league this seaon, How many english players will play in the Final? Between 10 and 12 probably, England will be represented in the final far more then any other single nation.
-
The only time he's scored against us since leaving and we won the game as well
-
I wasn't being pedantic, I genuinly beleived that you forgot that he'd had a run in the team at the start of the current season (still think you probably did..). I'm not going to assume you mean something other then you say, especially when you're making negative assumptions about me.
-
I wouldn't believe what Bellamy says, always loved him as a player, but he's a horrible gobshite as a person. Then again I wouldn't believe much Fat Fred said at the time either, so who knows what he went for. If we did sell him for far less then was offered by another club then it shows what complete morons Souness and Fred are.
-
Dear me... Yes, I know you're questioning his performances from before the current season, doesn't change anything. The fact is you thought his last run in the team was prior to this season.
-
Taylor, please calm down and think for a moment, because you're making an idiot of yourself mate. My post was in reply to one question and one question only "Do you remember the last time he had a run in the team". You obviously thought that his last run of games was in the 2006-2007 season.. If you hadn't tried to take the piss by suggesting I couldn't remember the last time he's played then perhaps I wouldn't have pulled you up on it. Moral of the story, stop being a dick.
-
I SAID BEFORE THIS SEASON! Are you thick as fuk or blind or a bit of both? FFS man. No you idiot , what you said is that he's been bad every season appart from this one. That's entirely different to when you then said "do you remember the last time he had a run in the team".. which actually was at the start of this season.. You might not want to question other people's knowledge when you obviously can't remember yourself..
-
Yes Toons Taylor, I do remember the last time he had a run in the team, I don't think you do though. It was the start of the current season, what did he do so badley in those games then? Or am I correct in thinking that you thought the last time he had a run was at the start of last season?.. the infamous slip for Alonso's goal.. I seriously think you have that one period in your head and can't really remember much more of Harper.
-
No its not. And the reason why he's been happy to sit on the bench for so long as he's not been good enough to command a 1st team spot for the best part of his career, here or at any other regular EPL club. Yes.. it is. Either you're massively under rating Harper, or massively ove rating the rest of the leagues keepers, or a bit of both. I mean common, take a look around at the Premiership and check out some of the keepers you claim would definitely keep Harper out.. Was the first time you saw Harper the time when he slipped and got beaten by Alonso's long range shot or something? Because appart from that he's been extremely solid every time he's been called upon.
