    Seydou Doumbia

eep To be fair like the Russian league has been on a break, 4 matches since October so not quite as bad as it sounds. Hopefully the injury thing isn't as bad as it sounds either. I mean looking at appearances he's managed 150 for CSKA in 5 seasons, average of 30 games per season. Also missed just one game for CSKA since rejoining them this season (21 games played from August to the December break). So he certainly doesn't seem to have an issue playing matches anyway
  2. We need a instant impact from Townsend and Doumbia (if his visa comes through in time of course), because the current side just don't turn up away from home. If we did turn up and play we'd have every chance if getting a win against a side like Everton.

Nobody's saying he's the best player ever, not in the slightest. Also a bit strange of you to comment on other people judging him without knowing much when you know little about him yourself yet call him crap
  4. No doubt IMO, unfortunately for him he'll have to sell in the summer whether Pulis stays or goes because he's not signing a new contract now IMO.

    Seydou Doumbia

Wonder how long it'll take before any enthusiasm he might have is sucked out of him by the rest of the squad of hopeless turds and the collective depression that sits like a suffocating pillow on top of SJP... Probably much longer than it would take if he was a member of this forum like
  6. Mitrovic was 1 in 2 previously and he's scored in the champions league and it's not happened for him here. Mitrovic has scored in the Champions League yes, but only 3 goals in 13 games. Not really comparable to the 16 goals in 23 games Doumbia has in that competition. I like Mitrovic and believe he can start scoring, just saying their records are far from similar. Of course nothing is guarenteed with Doumbia, but considering he's shown he can score lots of goals even at the top level it really comes down to wether he is suited to this league IMO. His game seems to be based around speed which is a very good sign for this league.

    Jose Enrique

On loan good, get him in and maybe playing here again can turn things around for him. Certainly better than having no left back at all.

    Loïc Remy

Thought they'd already agreed a fee days ago?

    Loïc Remy

Thought he was on £85k, then again I suppose Leicesters current top earner is likely only on a small fraction of that.
  10. There's also, in his mind (rightly or wrongly), depriving a rival struggling club of goals. The thing is though if we move on to another target (Remy) then all he has done is rejected £21m for player they don't play, and haven't even succeeded in placing us in a weakened position. Yeah that's a point, if we did get Remy instead because they refuse to do a deal on Berahino then Peace would probably have helped us in the short term. Obviously long term Berahino is the better option, but just for this season and what will keep us up Remy is the absolute best option IMO
  11. There's also, in his mind (rightly or wrongly), depriving a rival struggling club of goals. Possibly, one hell of a price to pay though to deprive a club seven points behind you of goals. I could understand it if it was a case of damaging their chances and helping ours, but with him not playing for them they aren't going to be worse off themselves if he goes.
  12. Pritchard deal is already agreed, so no leverage there.
  13. Very strange that they haven't responded at all to our offer yet as well. Might be wishful thinking but could it be that Peace will sell at that price but won't do so until nearer the deadline so there's no time for Pulis to ask him for the cash to spend? If he rejects it now we might move on, but if he doesn't respond at all we'll wait (for how long who knows) and he can come back closer to the deadline and accept it claiming it had to be considered by the board for a while. Also we may even increase the offer in the mean time, so its win win for him.

    Seydou Doumbia

He's not finisher, he's nowhere fucking near that. Based on what man? Let's be honest neither of us have seen much at all of him other than highlight videos. Or I certainly haven't seen you claim to be a follower of his career anyway so please correct me if I'm wrong. His record, especially in the Champions League suggests he isn't a bad finisher at all.

    Seydou Doumbia

He looks nowt like Martins, he looks a finisher rather than some one who will hit the occasional rocket. We need options other than just Mitrovic or we will likely go down and he could give us another option. All for signing him on loan, can't hurt at all.
  16. NUFC_Stats? Going to Valencia for first team Football? Some of you will believe anything If he went to Valencia (don't see any reports he is) it would be because they're in a much better position than us, mental though because he won't play IMO.
  17. Definitely, 16 goals in 23 Champions League games. Even this season he's got 6 in 8 Champions League games. Depends on the opposition though. If that's against the likes of PSG or Dortmund it's pretty good. Against nugget utd from wherethefuckistan not so much. The 6 this season were against PSV, Sporting Lisbon and Man Utd. Not the absolutely highest level of opponent but good opposition. Might as well post the full record: 23 games, 16 goals:- Manchester United - 1 PSV - 2 Sporting Lisbon - 2 Sporting Lisbon - 1 Manchester City - 2 Manchester City - 1 Manchester City - 2 Inter Milan - 1 Trabzonspor - 2 Lille - 2

  19. "For free". Guess they paid him a big sign on fee. Point still stands. I doubt they paid him the 10m or so he would have cost in transfer fees. Perhaps they just want to cut their losses and take 4m or so? I know theirs reports of 7m but that's too much IMO. If we pay £4m for him we're absolutely off our fucking rockers.
  20. Hadn't seen that article, makes no sense to me like. They even mention a fee, can't believe for a moment we'll pay a fee for him. We could have taken him for free 2 years ago if we'd been willing to match what Swansea are paying him, seems absolutely mental. That's before considering the fact he's just nothing like the player we need, at least Doumbia is consistent with the style of player we've been looking at (like Berahino, quick and tricky). I really hope its bollocks.

  22. Surely just a case of the press linking us to Gomis because Swansea want rid and we've got a long history of trying to sign him. Think their's fuck all in it.
  23. For a second I thought Sky had gotten mixed up. That Fulham were buying Dembele from Tottenham and they'd got things in reverse
  24. Our top targets will go right until deadline day, so makes sense to get somebody in right now (even if he's not of the highest quality he offers something we don't have) to insure we can't be left with nowt. Doumbia I'm fine with, but I don't want Gomis (at least not instead of Doumbia). One is quick and tricky and direct, which gives us something different. The other offers us nowt we don't already have.
